The breakfast, a full English, with ingredients sourced locally, prepared and served by the amiable Karen, was excellent, with as much toast and tea as you could eat and drink. Nice quiet location just off the Main Street. It's an old style, unpretentious and authentic country pub with 400 years of history and five comfortable rooms.

Location was good.

Room service not available unless we asked fir things. Room was OK but could do with an upgrade even though its an old building I'm sure things can be improved for comfort of guests. Food was OK just portion too large.

I guess you are paying for the location £143 with breakfast for one night. Shower is poor and mattress was not for me

Location. The room was quite nice.

The en suite bathroom let our stay down. It was incredibly narrow, the shower water was intermittently hot and cold, and there was mould on parts of the ceiling.

Fabulous old pub in amazing location

My twin room was extremely basic, small and needed money investment! Expensive and expected to pay for breakfast on top!

Great location

B &B cost £153. For that I would expect 5 star. It was not. We picked a night with live music, which we did not expect. It was 1.30 before all the noise abated.

It was all very grubby and tired looking.

Cosy pub very comfortable. Lively at the weekend with live music. Great location walking distance to the high steet. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The meal wasn't fantastic, it was OK, not awful. The towels weren't very white and felt like they had been boiled. Parking is a distance away, which I you're able is fine, but my mum can't walk far.
