Had a lovely stay and house was enjoyed by the whole family. Only concern was the steep stairs especially where we had two babies which we didn't take into account when booking. Good communication with Mike who even phoned us early when the house was ready for us . Would definitely return but maybe on our own without the toddlers LOL

The house was really nice and in a good location to visit the local attractions.
Mike done a lovely hamper to start things off which was very nice.
The house was well equipped with everything you needed even on a wet day you wouldn’t get bored with the amount of games to entertain you. The only thing I would say is that it just needs a touch of paint just to freshen it up.
Horsey gap is a lovely beach with lots of grey seals to see.
The Fisherman’s return is a lovely pub which is a 5min walk. I’d recommend to go later in the evening to get a table especially if you don’t have a table of 10 or more as you can only book tables for those amount. The food was very nice and reasonably priced you also get a good portion. I would recommend this house to friends and family and I’d look at booking it again if I was to visit the area again.

House looks small but gosh its like a tardis. Eveything was as described. Everything you need for a stay is provided. Great location by village and a stones throw from beach. The stairs to the bedroom are steep may not suit anyone frail but this is documented in the property description.

Really nice property close to the beach and many other attractions. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay would highly recommend the location and property. Mike was welcoming and engaging.

Great base to explore Norfolk from. Clean, tidy and plenty of space for the family. Fantastic kitchen/diner space to relax in the evening and beds were really comfortable. Mike was quick to respond when a few things were left behind and happy to help us out getting them returned. Overall we had a brilliant long weekend.

We enjoyed our stay here, visiting from the States while visiting family nearby. The house provided everything we needed, including everything for our 18 month old son. Mike was very responsive to questions and check in was easy. Friendly town, short walk to the beach.

The property is situated within an ideal location for a gorgeous sandy beach that you could mistake for being abroad which allows dogs all year round. The property is presented very well, and I would definitely book again!

Good cottage right near the Dunes in a lovely little village. Good walks and great pub. House has four beds and laid out in a long line. The staircases ate steep, so may not be suitable for older guests. We really liked the garden, the lounge and kitchen. Games were in the house and had all we needed. Mike was great at responding beforehand.

The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Lots to do and see in the local area.
Poppy’s Tearoom served an amazing breakfast and a pint of cider and some chips at the Fisherman ‘s Return were brilliant.

A very well equipped holiday rental, everything you could possibly think of! Well heated and plenty of hot water. Good access to beach, chip shop and pub. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The house has everything you need for a comforable stay, and has a great location to the Winterton beaches, with the added bonus at this time of year being the Seals and their pubs.
The village has a great pub and very good fish anc chip shop, along with a small shop for anything you may have forgotten.
I can highly recommed this property.

Our second stay here and hopefully not the last. It’s a perfect location for a weekend away, with easy access to wonderful beaches, and great amenities too. Property is spotless, comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing break (except a bottle opener which we couldn’t find!)

Much needed holiday
Brilliant location, cottage had everything you need. Very spacious for our granddaughter chasing our dog Nero around ☺️ With an enclosed garden. All in all an excellent holiday, we will return.

the property is perfect and ideally situated and in a beautiful village in a beautiful part of Norfolk, will definitely be going back. ( would live there if we could )

Perfect stay in Winterton
Had a fabulous 5 nights stay is this very comfortable and clean character property.
We have stayed in Winterton before with our two dogs as it’s just the perfect location for your four legged friends. Gorgeous walks and the beach minutes from the property. The village is very friendly and has all that you need, shop, chip shop and fabulous pub serving lovely food and real ales all less than 5 minutes from the property. Mike the property owners communication was excellent through the booking process. We had no problems whilst away, so an absolutely perfect stay! Cannot wait to return.

Perfectly placed weekend get-away
Great location, perfect for beach, pub and shops. The Accomodation itself was comfortable well equipped and cozy. We had a great time and will be back for another visit.

Great New Year break…
We had a wonderful stay in Winterton, the property was clean & homely & the gift box left was a lovely touch. We particularly enjoyed the large kitchen dining room, this is where we spent most of our time playing games at the large table. The location was brilliant for some fantastic walks & visiting the seals on the beach.

Lovely cosy bolthole in a storm
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is deceptively huge inside and we had ample space for our family trip of 7. The house is very well equipped, comfortable and cosy. The log burner was great to snuggle up to whilst we watched the weather raging outside. Winterton-on-sea is a lovely location; good amenities and being able to see the local seal colony and their pups at such close quarters was amazing. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend to anyone else.

Fabulous midweek break
Had a fantastic midweek half term break at Mike's cottage. Communication has been brilliant, especially since we have had to change the booking numerous times due to travel restrictions. The house was brilliant for our two families, both with small children. The kitchen area was great for socialising, with a big TV and lots of seating. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil etc that you could need. Smart TV and Internet was needed with the kids! Whole house was spotless, and bedrooms were a great size. Having a small baby was great, as a highchair and cot was provided. Location was spot on, lots to do. Overall we had a fantastic stay and will be back!

The Best!
The stay was very pleasant, from arranging and planning amidst COVID-19, the Host Mike could not have been more helpful. Super flexible and amazingly informative with a guide especially made by Mike received just before arrival.
The Guide provided all local amenities, the nearby hospital and GP Surgery as well for peace of mind.
Upon entering the house, we were greeted with a beautiful gift basket and a homely setting that we will not forget.
All basics included at the property, though I would advise bringing a fan in the Summer time as it can be quite humid.
Netflix ready for the younger ones on the kitchen TV which was perfect, wine in the gift basket, brilliant for the adults. Then of course, biscuits for all.
We would highly recommend staying here, and cannot commend Mike enough, thank you.

Nice village tearoom, shop, pub and fish bar all within a few minutes walk. There is also a great children's playground in the village. The livelier seaside resorts are also just a 10 minute drive.
