This home had every convenience we needed for our 3 generation family trip and a wonderful central location to many places in Maine. It was nice to know the owners were helpful and responsive to all inquiries plus a nice book of suggestions of what to do and where to eat at the house.

This comfortable home is in a quiet neighborhood and has just about everything you need. There were four of us and there is plenty of space to relax. We really enjoyed the stay.

The house was clean, well stocked and had many added extras that worked out well for anyone traveling. The beds were comfortable and the home and neighborhood were very welcoming, with grocery store etc. nearby. Would stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone.

Super clean and well laid out house close to Rockland. Cycling loops in the area on Maine Bicycle Coalition website are sweet and this was a perfect spot to launch from. Even a sitting area in the garage which was a nice place to land post ride.

We picked this location at Owls Head because of the proximity to areas we wanted to see. Did day trips to Bar Harbor including Acadia, Augusta(twice), Boothbay Habor, Castine, Stonington, Belfast, Camden and many more small towns and ports along the way.
The house had everything we needed. Location, just off the main highway was in a nice quiet neighborhood which felt very safe. The house is nicely furnished with all the cooking equipment necessary. It was also nice to have access to the large two car garage.
I highly recommend this property if you want a place close to the costal area.

The property is beautiful, it is surrounded by trees and very private. It is centrally located between Portland and Acadia National Park. The house is clean and comfortable with all the little extras needed.

Beautiful and peaceful
Just perfect. As close as we needed to be to everything. Wonderful things to do nearby and such a peaceful place to come back to. Felt like home. Away from the usual touristy hustle and bustle.

End of summer vacation!
The house was a perfect place for our family. We had 4 adults a 12 and 14 yr old. The sleeping arrangements were perfect. The house had everything you could imagine needing, from kitchen spices, to laundry room and bathroom supplies. The welcome book mentioned everything you would need to make your vacation stress free. We took a lot of the advice on favorite places to visit and the best place (Jess’s Market) for your lobster meal!
Owls Head is a great location for base camp being mid-coast, 2 hrs to Bar Harbor and 2 hrs to Portland. We were able to enjoy a lot of day trips.
Both Deb (House manager) and Pat (owner) returned emails quickly when we had questions/concerns. We would definitely stay here again!

Maine in the fall
We took a fall vacation to enjoy the New England fall foliage; however, mother nature had different ideas. Due to warm and dry weather the fall foliage peak was 1 - 2 weeks behind schedule. With that said, it did not hinder our trip. The hosts of the Owls Head VRBO were every so kind to leave suggestions for visitors and we had a great time. This was a great location, clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this location.

Very nice home, one of the nicest we’ve stayed in while visiting in Maine. It was perfect for our visit, lots of nice touches to make you feel at home! No deposit was a great plus! Great instructions and helpful contact person. Beds comfy, very clean, great kitchen cooked all our meals, great sights close by. We Hope to come again!

Very nice home, one of the nicest we’ve stayed in while visiting in Maine. It was perfect for our visit, lots of nice touches to make you feel at home! No deposit was a great plus! Property was very clean and as described. Beds were comfortable. Everything was easy to find. We spent our days exploring, and found the location suitable to our interests. (hiking, breweries, lighthouses) It was great for our needs.

Beautiful home in picture book setting!
This is a lovely home, beautifully furnished and organized for a wonderful stay. Weather was amazing. Close to all amenities, gorgeous water views, and State Parks. The owner was very attentive to all questions. We had a fabulous vacation.

Excellent!
The house is gorgeous! Very clean and cozy. In this place, you will have everything you need: fully equipped kitchen, bath and laundry room, clean towels and linens, TV, Internet and much more. The location is very convenient: you are close to Rockland and Rockport. We spent 5 very busy but memorable days there. We explored lighthouses and a lighthouse museum, took a ferry to Vinalhaven island for biking and beautiful ocean/islands/lighthouses pictures, visited the Acadia national park (2-2.5 hours to drive), and enjoyed fresh seafood in local restaurants. We highly recommend this house for your vacation!

Beautiful home in Owls Head, Maine!
We really cannot say enough good about this lovely home! It was beautiful! It was as clean as can be and they thought of everything for visitors -- you cannot imagine! I know that anyone who stays in this home will be blown away but the décor, cleanliness, every little detail was great. If we ever get a chance to come to Maine again....we will definitely stay here once again. Thank you so much George and Patty!
