Had a fantastic short break in this lovely apartment. It was spacious, very clean and modern, and had everything we needed. It was in such a great location, literally minutes from the beach, and had the woods behind it which you could look at from the balcony. It was a very peaceful street with loads of parking. We had our own parking space but I parked on the road as it was easier to get out with our space being close to a wall and other residents cars, and me not being the best parker in the world! We had a very restful night's sleep there with no noise at all and the beds were very comfy. Alum Chine beach was pristine and not all that busy at all when we went (Jubilee Bank Holiday week). There is a kids play area and large cafe right on the beach, and it's a short stroll alongside the beach to Bournemouth pier and the town centre, with plenty of ice cream stands, restaurants and arcades along the way. The woods behind the beach and the property were lovely to walk through, very quiet. There was a Tesco & M&S Food Hall a short walk away for all our food needs. We had a day trip to Kimmeridge Beach on the Jurassic Coast which was only around 45 minutes away and was great for the kids. We also visited the Oceanarium which was a great morning out. All in all I only used my car on the one day. There was a bus stop right next to the beach 2 mins away that took you to places like Poole if you didn't want to drive. The owner of the property was lovely and we had a delicious homemade lemon cake left for us on our arrival. She answered a message I sent within a few minutes and was happy to help. So happy we found this lovely place! I wish we had booked for longer and I will definitely look at going back next year.

My Dad & I went there for a weekend after a 2 month stay in the UK dealing with the estate of my deceased aunt...and we can surely say it was such a beautiful close to our journey. The flat was clean, cosy, warm, functional, excellent location within a few steps from the beach ...it truly ticked all the boxes for us and I would highly recommend everyone to stay there. The freshmade orange cake was delicious. I think we were the first visitors from Honduras!!

A warm comfortable home. Beautiful walks along the beach on your doorstep and all the restaurants, shops etc near enough to walk to. A perfect stay for a couple, thank you.

We would definitely recommend staying at The Moorings, couldn't fault anything and worth a 5 star rating. The cake on arrival was delicious.

Fantastic location, wonderful host, beautifully furnished, super comfy beds, great facilities - it was just perfect and we will definitely be back.

We stayed at the moorings for our wedding weekend. On arrival property was clean and tidy and we had a cake, fresh flowers, Prosecco and a lovely message to welcome us. The beds and sofa were super comfy and location of house was closer to the beach than we expected. We had a lovely catch up with the owner who was a wonderful lady and went out of her way to make our stay as wonderful and stress free as possible. If you’re looking to stay in a beach side location with stunning views and gorgeous home furnishings and comfort… me and my now WIFE highly recommend the moorings! Luna our doggo also loved it too. Quiet and relaxing for her to rest after long walks on the beach! Thank you for everything Helen and Martin x
