Perfect getaway

The house felt like home it was clean, perfectly located right in the center and had all the facilities to make you feel at home. it was stylishly decorated and the pool was a wonderful place to relax

Perfect position for exploring Vejer & it’s wonderful restaurants. We are a family with 2 young children & it suited our needs, the pool was fabulous in the afternoon sunshine. Lots of stairs so maybe not great for early walkers. Lovely decor & beautiful views. Couldn’t’ ask for more!

Ein wunderschönes Haus in dem wir einen erholsamen Urlaub verbrachten, den wir noch lange in Erinnerung behalten werden. Alles war sauber und gepflegt, so dass man auch mal einen Regentag hervorragend im Haus verbringen konnte. Restaurants mit sehr gutem Essen und freundlichen Personal sind fußläufig zu erreichen und auch zum Einkaufen gibt es nahe gelegene Möglichkeiten. Vejer ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt um Andalusien zu entdecken. Unser Fazit: Wir lernen schon fleißig Spanisch damit wir uns beim nächsten Mal besser mit Ignacio, der sich rührend gekümmert hat, unterhalten können.

Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf in deze prachtige, zeer complete woning. Het huis is smaakvol ingericht. De bedden zijn prima. Wij konden in oktober nog gebruik maken van het zwembad. Vejer de la Frontera is een heel mooi authentiek stadje. Verder zijn er in genoeg mogelijkheden voor uitstapjes in de buurt: Cádiz, Sevilla en het strand bij Conil. Huisbaas Ignacio en zijn zoon doen hun best.

The house is in a great location, close to the centre but on a quiet side street. It is very stylish, comfortable and well equipped. Very much to our taste we loved it. Vejer is a beautiful place with great restaurants and bars. This was our 4th visit. Ignacio was a charming and helpful host on behalf of Christophe. Although we had language difficulties with our little Spanish we got by but I'd suggest making sure you sort out meeting arrangements beforehand unless you can speak Spanish. Ignacio is a local Barberia with his shop on the other side of the street so handy to get hold of if needed.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay, Ignacio & son (despite our lack of Spanish) looked after us perfectly. The property is beautiful, comfortable and homely, with plenty of equipment in the kitchen, a real home from home. The pool was immaculate and essential given the temperature! The views from every window and within the house are lovely. The outdoor seating area was perfect for relaxing and we all did! The location was perfect for dining out, site seeing within the old town and a short drive to beautiful beaches. The nectarines, fresh figs and tomatoes were delicious from the local greengrocers. Our grown-up family all enjoyed our stay and decided it was the best place we had ever stayed (I think the pool swung it)!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this great property. The minute you walk in you know you are somewhere special. The views of the town from the front hall are spectacular. There are two bedrooms and a bath on the entry level floor. The main living area is down a very large amount of steps. The living area and kitchen look out to the perfect size pool. Over the living area there is a loft bedroom with another outdoor patio. The check in was relatively easy, however, we did need to speak Spanish (which we are not very proficient at!) to communicate with the person that met us at the property. There’s tons of yummy restaurants right in the area. We found one that we went back to twice called The Office. Best food we had during our two week trip. We parked most days down at a central lot and walked up quite a bit of stairs to get to house. Not terrible but may not be good for those with mobility issues. We all were very sad to leave this little slice of heaven. We agreed to definitely go back!

Me and my partner only spent 3 nights here and wished we could have stayed longer. The house is magnificent, full of lovely personal touches and obviously furnished by someone who knows how to create a style that makes one immediately comfortable. For just two people the house was huge, we spend most time in the homey living room and also had a quick dip in the pool - in November. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, loved Vejer and the restaurant "El Jardin de Califa" and will hopefully be back at some time. Maybe with friends to fill the three bedrooms. Many, many thanks!

Super old building in the old centre of town, lots of history, excellent restaurants within 5 minutes walk, lovely friendly people. Lots of places to visit in the area and some wonderful beaches. We didn't see a cloud the whole time we were there.

Hemos estado el grupo de amigos y nos ha encantado, bien comunicado y a 2 min al centro, las playas para visitar pillan al lado. Respecto a la casa es una maravilla y tiene bastantes cosas, la piscina por supuesto es la que mas nos gusto y las vistas impresionante recomendada esta casa 100% un abrazo a sido un placer.

We stayed at Juan Bueno late June, having visited Vejer many times we were keen to actually stay a week there and enjoy everything it has to offer - the house is brilliant in that respect, right in the centre, minutes from Plaza Espana and yet very quiet, perfect. The house is lovely, well laid out and with a pool which is a rarity in Vejer and much appreciated when it's too windy on the beach (which it often is). Have to admit to some disappointment as there were lots of the owners belongings around, e.g. in the wardrobe of the main bedroom where we stayed there was a suit case, motor bike helmets and other bags etc which took up the room for our things. I appreciate it may be the owners home, but really personal things should be stored away when people are staying. Also it wasn't as clean as we would have liked so I felt like I spent my first half hour there clearing wardrobes, making space and wiping down surfaces (& the bin which looked like it was spattered with mud) so not ideal. Ignacio is great and as mentioned by others whilst he doesn't speak English and our Spanish is limited, we understood each other well enough. I hate being negative, but the week after this holiday we stayed in a rented cottage in Cornwall, it was spotless and just bought home that really the Spanish house wasn't as good as we would have liked. The real shame is that for such a lovely old house in such a fabulous location with a great little pool it really should be attracting rave reviews and actually with a bit more tlc it would be absolutely five star top rental so we felt disappointed that its qualities just weren't made the most of.

Thankyou Christophe, for a wonderful stay at your gorgeous house in Vejer. We fell in love with it the minute we opened the door. Ignacio was super friendly and helpful dispite the fact neither of us had a clue what the other was saying!!! Ha ha. I fell in love with Vejer and feel it's one of the prettiest places we have ever stayed... I'd definately like to come back in the summer! The house is so pretty, with its white walls, pretty shutters and attention to detail in its little decorative touches. Very clean, very well equipped and a joy to relax in. There are a lot of steps and different levels, so that may be an issue if you are less able, but just added to its charm for us. Having a bathroom on both levels was great for our family of 5.! Easter celebrations were interesting and boy can the Spanish party... All night!! We really enjoyed eating the tapas and particularly in Piccolinas in Spanish square... Beautiful food and nice people. We had many breakfasts and dinners there! I didn't want to leave this morning to come to Granada. Would definately recommend this beautiful place, we all adored it! This beautifully appointed, tastefully decorated and furnished town house was everything we were looking for as a family with grandparents and older teenage grandchildren. The small patios were well furnished with shade when the sun was blazing, and the small pool was deep enough to satisfy the kids and looked so inviting to us all. I'd not recommend it if you have mobility problems. The stairs could be brutal! The house is on a very narrow "road" with no car traffic but lots of passers by and backed onto a much broader roadway. Although some cars were parked there, we never attempted to, the roadway was simply too steep. We parked in the public car park below the house, grandchildren were handy for carrying the shopping etc. What a lovely attractive busy town Vejer is. All the little roads and alleyways and main square, the shops and restaurants, the jewish area and the castle... the town walls walk way... simply lovely. We went late October and the weather was perfect at around 25. Swam in the chilly sea at El Palmer and loved it. Next time would hire wet suits and surf boards from the outlets there. The beach at El Palmer was empty.... glorious golden soft sand. Thank you to Valerie and Ignatious for a lovely easy memorable holiday. We would all return in a heart beat.
