I don’t think I can fully describe just how perfect our stay was. The pictures on the website can’t begin to do it justice. The hosts Sherry & Mark made communication easy right from the start. Sherry is such a lovely host, she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The suite is private and so peaceful. Equipped with everything you need. The bed was comfortable, we slept great. The huge windows facing the ocean held all of the entertainment that we needed. We watched whales, seals, eagles and porpoises for days. The cruise ships slipping by were fun to see. The sunsets gorgeous. We could barely tear ourselves away when it came time to leave. My husband and I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Sherry for sharing your beautiful space. It was a truly memorable experience.

QUIET AND SECLUDED.

Private and well-appointed with the most incredible view! So much to watch through the huge windows and from the private patio. Sherry's suite has everything you need and is perfect for two.

The view was spectacular & the seals put on quite a show for us. The studio was perfect & our hostess Sherry is charming.

We stayed during some fine September weather and used it as a base for kayaking and hiking. At day’s end, we enjoyed watching the tidal currents and boat traffic, and feel especially fortunate to have seen a humpback whale, some harbour porpoises and sea lions from the deck. At night we watched cruise ships go by and listened to Common Murres (a sea bird) calling to each other. The apartment is very comfortable and well set up for a single or couple, with impressive views of Discovery Passage (the channel between Quadra Island and Campbell River) out of the large windows and from the outside deck. It is a studio suite, so one room for living and a separate bathroom. Our host, Sherry, was very friendly and responsive to our questions, yet respected our privacy. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to return.

We stayed for 4 nights. We live in Campbell River, and have a fabulous view from our home, but this was spectacular! The pictures of both the cottage & ocean (views) on VRBO don't do it justice. The cottage is spacious and has everything you need, and more. Beautifully decorated, & super comfy! We sat for hours on the lovely deck just watching the boats, birds & seals. Even saw dolphins twice! Very quiet, and extremely private. If we go back to Quadra next year, we'll definitely stay here again. Thank you Sherry.

I was looking for a little get away for myself and my mom while we were over on Vancouver island, and we absolutely lucked out when we found this spot a little more than a month before visiting. This clean, well appointed suite was everything we saw advertised online and more - the views were stunning and the light that came through those windows was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I can’t even begin to tell you how many photos I took while we were there!! We enjoyed morning coffee on the patio and warm sunny evenings as the sun sank below the horizon. Lots to watch from this viewpoint - cruise ships and boats of all kinds, but we especially enjoyed watching the regular seal activity and eagles flying about to the little island across the way. Sherry our host was absolutely lovely to deal with and was very helpful when we asked about things to see and do on the island (provided us with links/info) and was only a text away and was always very responsive whenever we had questions. We enjoyed our time at Oceanside so much and only wished we were able to stay longer. We hope to return again one day in the not too distant future. Thank you again so much to our kind host Sherry. We can’t recommend this place enough! ❤️

Simply one of the best coastline experiences of the Ocean Front and Wildlife on Quadra Island. Easy access to: Ferry from Campbell River, Grocery Store and Local Restaurants. Great for a couple who like to go fishing or hiking and are welcomed with a place to relax after their adventures.

We booked this place by chance… and discovered Quadra Island, which is like the cottage country for Vancouver Island. Peaceful, with beautiful nature. When we set foot in the apartment, we gasped: a huge window with an amazing view of the strait and mountains in the background. Such a gorgeous place! The apartment is super comfortable and Sherry is a lovely host. Hope to go back!!!

This was a great location. The room was spacious and well equipped. The hostess was very attentive to all of our needs.

Beautiful, well appointed suite, clean and a perfect location to explore the island from. Greeted by a Humpback whale outside the window on day one, not to mention other wild life sightings during our stay. Massive storm passed through during our visit so missed out on sunsets, but on the other hand storm-watching was great. Can imagine the patio would be thoroughly enjoyed during warmer weather. Sherry is a great host - only a text away if needed. This suite is for sure added to our shortlist of places to stay!

Great location with great views. Sherry’s place is a great jumping off point to explore quadra and all it has to offer. Well equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook nightly meals. Highly recommend!

The unit is perched over Discovery Passage with exciting tidal current changes and boat traffic. It faces west with views to the mountains on Vancouver Island and Campbell River. A small island with an eagle's nest and family is close by. There is a small patio. There are lots of douglas firs around the property and adjacent. April Point Lodge is on the point nearby.

My wife and I found amazing relaxation at this place. The view and environment really lends itself to a quiet time away. We walked through the parks (Lighthouse, Rebecca Spit) and did a whale watching tour that left from Quathiaski Cove with Wild Waterways Adventures. Amazing place, and we really hope to return.

This was exactly what we were looking for! Gorgeous view, comfortable space with a well stocked kitchen, and in a great location. A great place to come "home" to and relax after a day of adventuring around the island. We watched porpoises, seals, eagles and a humpback right from the suite. Sherry is such a lovely host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back again sometime soon.

EXCELLANT

My friend and I had a relaxing and restorative stay here, enjoying the beautiful water views and the activities of the eagles and seals across the way near the neighbouring small island. The kitchen was thoughtfully appointed with everything one would need. Unfortunately we visited over the three day heat wave, but better to be here where you can stay cool at Rebecca Spit and in the forest. The ocean air cooled everything wonderfully in the evening. Thank you Sherry for sharing your lovely part of the island.

We throughly enjoyed our stay from the moment meeting Sherry and entering our beautiful suite to the end leaving. Quadra Island is a wonderful place to visit and make the holiday whatever it is you are looking for. We went for nature and peace and quiet and it was delivered in abundance.

Perfect private location for us yet close to Central Plaza & Ferry. Suite has everything you need with great view. Host Sherry and Dawn were so accommodating. You could sense the commitment & care put into the property. Meeting and chatting with Sherry was the bonus for us! Will be our 'go to' spot on Quadra Island.

Great spot to refocus upon the ocean, the light, and what's important in one's life. Five-minute $5 water-taxi to Painter's Lodge which is 3.5 km north of Campbell River.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful setting, despite the less than perfect weather. The views from inside and outside are outstanding, and as someone else commented, you could just stay here and look at the water activity all day. Peace and quiet is very important for us and this was perfect in that regard. Sherry is a lovely and warm host, you couldn't ask for a better stay.
