Nice spot with a beautiful view to Ria Formosa; cool pool with warm water; cats, rosters, geckos around the house / property; quick access to the coast / beaches, Fuseta and Olhão; away from croweded spaces; a good choice for this kind of holidays.

This house was perfect, exactly what we needed for a week relaxing with the family. The pool was warm enough to be in all day and the bbq area was lovely. Would definitely recommend

Wir genossen zu fünft schöne 8 Tage in der großen und gut ausgestatteten Villa, das schöne Spätsommerwetter, die schöne Aussicht und den Pool. Die Zufahrt ist etwas steinig und die Hühner waren schon mal etwas früh wach aber das trübte den guten Gesamteindruck nicht.

Well organized home equipped with everything a family of 7 with ages ranging from 6 to 71 needed. Clean, nice pool and patios, nice quiet neighborhood. A car is essential to reach beaches and local cities.

We had a lovely stay. Villa more spacious than photos suggest, very well equipped and good aircon - pool excellent size. Great sea view. Moncarapacho village short drive (10 mins) - several restaurants there and small supermarket - but too far to walk especially at night. We visited Olhao - great fish market and plenty of restaurants, ferries to nearby island beaches, Tavira - pretty town to explore and Praia do Baril beach - all easily accessible. You do need a car as quite rural - taxis will do airport run but not local trips. Directions to villa need a bit more detail as difficult to find at night - distances would be good. Overall, great stay, owner very easy to deal with - would definitely return.

The property was excellent with spacious rooms for all the family . Well equipped and spotlessly clean . Quite isolated which is fine as no noisy neighbours only a cockerel crowing and dogs barking from time to time The real bonus was the enclosed snug bbq by the pool especially as the evenings were still cool and of course the pool which everybody loved . The view across to the sea was fabulous . Moncarapacho is a nice town but further away than we thought . The smaller village which was closer had no facilities . Overall for a week it was delightful . We hope to come again next year .

Highlights were. - the heated pool, my other half never normally ventures into the pool but this was lovely and warm, just the right size and depth, and we were both in it everyday. - the lovely view from the patio across the fields and down to the sea - I also enjoyed watching the planes heading into Faro airport, the Fliught Radar App was on overtime! Property was nice and clean and Helen was very quick to respond throughout the booking process. We did have a minor issue with the villa's internet but this was subsequently sorted by Dirk. I wasn't aware when booking that there was another property close to the villa across the drive but they can't see into the property and apart from the occasional vehicle visiting them, there was no real noise. Like anywhere in rural Portugal, there are dogs barking and cockerels crowing in the distance but the villa was still a lovely secluded retreat so these weren't an issue. Great base for exploring the Eastern Algarve, we travelled out to Santa Luzia, Tavira, Olhao and even across to Spain from Alcoutim.

Nous avons passés d'agréables vacances au Portugal, la villa comporte tout le confort nécessaire rien ne manque, la situation de la villa dans l'arrière pays nous a beaucoup plus, calme et reposante. Merci au propriétaire pour leurs services et leurs disponibilités. le soleil n'était pas trop de la partie mais l'algavre est une jolie région avec pleins de sites à visiter.

Spacious house in a calm rural environment with great views. I loved the pool. It was good to have air condition in all bedrooms and the living room, the weather was really hot. The caretaker was very responsive and friendly. We had trouble with the air condition in the living room one day, it was fixed immediately.

Excellent stay at the villa, so peaceful and relaxing. Pool area and BBQ area are amazing and the air con is a real bonus! Definitely need a car to get around as the local villages and towns are hidden gems. Didn't get to do everything on our list which gives us an even better excuse to return again. Helen was very helpful with advice and her communication. Dirk the property manager was excellent and a fountain of local knowledge. Hopefully will return again next year.

Gostámos muito da nossa estadia na casa Verónica. Ideal para quem quer estar num local sossegado, mas perto da Praia. A casa é muito espaçosa, equipada com o que é necessário para os dias de férias, com uma bela vista. A piscina foi uma boa alternativa para as crianças nos dias menos bons para a praia bem como os vários espaços comuns interiores e exteriores. A Helen foi de uma grande simpatia e eficácia. The house is very spacious and well equipped for holidays and as a great view. The pool and the several paces interior and exterior of the house was a good alternative for the kids to the beach. Very peaceful rural position with lovely views yet within easy reach of coast , shops etc . The house is very well equipped and spacious ( there were 4 of us ) Plenty of outside space both shady and sunny and of course a pool . Excellent and helpful contact with the owner prior to arrival ensured everything went smoothly - the only slight hitch was quickly rectified by Dirk . It's true that the track leading up to the house is rather rough but that's what hire cars are for ! Yes , there is a fair amount of barking from dogs at certain times but that's quite usual in rural locations abroad and it didn't adversely affect our stay . All in all an extremely pleasant stay in a very different part of the Algarve .

Agréable villa, au calme (A l'exception du coq et du chien du voisin), loin du tourisme de masse et à proximité des jolies villes de Tavira et d'Olhao, ainsi que de leurs belles plages. Elle est bien distribuée et permet de partager de bons moments à 8, sans se marcher sur les pieds... Elle est également bien équipée. Vous ne manquerez de rien. Merci Helen

Wir, 4 Personen, hatten Anfang bis Mitte Juni 17 dieses schöne und weiträumige Haus besucht. Jeder hatte sein eigenes Schlafzimmer. In der Küche mit anschließendem Esszimmer konnten 4 Personen problemlos hantieren. Nur die Filterkaffeemaschine hat gefehlt. Einen Filterhalter zum Handaufbrühen konnte weder in Faro noch in Albufeira, noch in Olhao, geschweige denn in Moncarapacho erworben werden. Dafür war aber ein Kaffeebereiter nach dem French-Press-System vorhanden und bei uns sehr oft in Gebrauch. Das Wohnzimmer nutzten wir gar nicht, da wir uns ausschließlich aufgrund der guten Temperaturen auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den Atlantik, auf die Berge oder am Pool aufgehalten hatten. Die Zufahrt zum Haus war etwas holprig und fast immer von einem bellenden Hund der Nachbarschaft begleitet. Das Bellen verstummte sobald wir zurück gebellt haben.  Leider war kein Schattenplätzchen auf dem Parkplatz für den Wagen vorhanden, der unbedingt gebraucht wird. Für kleinere Fahrzeuge besteht die Möglichkeit neben dem Nachbarhaus, (teilweise im Schatten) zu parken. Helen hat sich im Vorfeld sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit gekümmert, wofür wir sehr dankbar waren. Dirk, den wir nur zur An- und Abreise gesehen hatten, hat sich sehr gut um den Pool und das Haus gekümmert. Auch ihm danken wir recht herzlich. Als Städter war das morgendliche Hundegebell, das laufende krähen der Hähne und das abendliche Zirpen eine Abwechslung. Obwohl der Hahn des Nachbarn nur noch lebt, da er sich wohlweislich hinter einem hohen Tor versteckt hielt.  Wir haben uns in dem Haus und an der Algarve sehr wohl gefühlt und wir haben nichts vermisst.

I absolutely love this house! We stayed there with a couple of friends middle of May 2017 and I am already looking so forward to come back again next year!!! It's a secluded holiday home at the end of a cul de sac, up the hill, overlooking rural surroundings and the ocean. So peaceful, all you can hear are some cicadas. All the plants around the garden were in full bloom (springtime … amazing field of flowers in the back yard) and there were lots of swallows flying around, and even white doves. And a little shy cat came around for dinner every night :) The bedrooms are very comfy and spacious (lots of cabinets to store your stuff), and so is the rest of the villa … super cosy living room and a very well equipped kitchen … we did not miss a thing! There's a capsule coffee machine but I was so glad to find a plunger as well :D I'm very much about sustainable living, so I was stoked to see those solar panels, and I told the owner the only thing I was not perfectly happy with is the shared shower, because there's not so much of water coming out (being a German haha) … but the other 2 showers are fine, and it's good to save on water anyway ;) Also the eco mode on the dishwasher is crap, if you use it, you gotta wash/dry the dishes again, but the regular mode is doing it's job! What I loved most about this place (besides the private pool, we even did a skinny dip hehe) was the BBQ area … we spent such a lovely evening down there. Beautiful light setting (and my favourite WiFi music), and the local dourada we bought in the supermarket was the tastiest ever! They have these fish grillers (idk how to call it) in one of the top cubboards, and even the coal and fire starters were provided. Also some other people left behind some delicious Algarve honey and organic olive oil … oh I wish this carries on :) Some other tipps about the area: All the villages east of Faro are very authentic and well worth a visit … old towns, churches, cafes/bars/restaurants, markets, delicous food and cheap beer. You need a rental car to go there, or a cab driver. I can highly recommend www.travelwithwolf.com (up to 8 passengers, super friendly and reliable.) In Olhao (awesome place for murals btw) you can rent bikes for a day trip to Praia do Barril (11k one way), a beautiful beach, with a little train for the last 1.5k, cool for kids. In Faro you can hop on a boat to cruise around the Ria Formosa National Park and also enjoy the pumping night life. We all left happy as!!!

We were met by the owner & his wife at the airport, who guided us back to the villa, following them. They went out of their way to be helpful, and even drove to a supermarket on the way to the villa, so we could pick up some essential items for our stay. The town of olhao is very close and had everything we needed, including a shopping centre, with go karting for the kids. The villa itself is up a dirt track, and though its quite rocky to get to, its also the last villa on the end of the road, so its very private. I would suggest hiring a car is essential. The villa has a magnificent view over the countryside & a view of the beach. There are 4 bedrooms, all very spacious, and 3 bathrooms. The villa is beautifully spacious and laid out, with a very large lounge area and a spacious kitchen and dining area. They have a smart tv with english telly, so when you are relaxing, you are able to curl up and watch it.The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, as well as a laundry room which we were able to use.By far for us, the pool was the best bit, it is a lot larger than it looks in the pictures, and the whole family loved it. As an added bonus it has under pool lighting in the evenings. The villa has beautiful grounds surrounding it. The pictures on the site dont do it justice, it is perfect for a family, and the owners are so friendly and helpful, they really went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay.
