The house was perfect for our trip. Location is just south of Eureka only a minute off the 101. Cool old house with everything you need. My granddaughter loved the horses next door. Would stay here again.

Excellent place to stay. No homeless around. Nice fenced front yard. Love it being an old house that has been taken care of. Did wish a bedroom was downstairs, but over all a great place

Wonderful historic home. We loved reading about the history of the home and the family that built it. Great ocean/sunset views on the second story. The linens and the kitchen were well stocked. The weather was so nice that the house always felt “just right” (not too hot, not too cold). It was a great place to stay for our adventures in Redwood Park. We really enjoyed our time here!

The property and the management were great. Nice cozy home with no surprises. As mentioned in another review, the outside traffic is more than desired, but not distracting when inside. Definitely recommend this property.

Truly amazing old home. Beautifully decorated, thoughtful details and plush, comfortable beds. We didn't want to leave!

Even though we only stayed for a short time, the home was a great place for me and my friends to stay. The house had plenty of towels and kitchen wares to make sleeping and eating enjoyable. We also enjoyed the neighbor’s horses and wandering cat outside in the garden.

This house has everything you need for a large group. When we are ever in the area we will choose it again.

The location is good. The house is clean and plenty of space for kids to play.

My family and I traveled from 3 different cities to "meet in the middle." This house was perfect for what we needed! We loved the history of the house, as well as the updated features. The road was busy, but it did not take away from the trip. The side yard was perfect for parking and still big enough for us to play baseball with the kids. We would recommend this house to anyone!

Quaint, and taken care of. Has the old house charm of a Victorian, with modern amenities. The floors creek with age, front porch was a little buoyant near the front door, but that just adds to charm of the house in my opinion. Had fun discovering little things around the house that gave clues to what the house must of been like when the family who built it lived there. The beds were not supper comfy, but then I have an orthopedic bed at home, so I am hard to please. Overall great house!!!

This is beautiful historic home that has been updated enough to be very cozy and comfortable. It easily accomodated our group of 5 adults and 2 teens. Good kitchen ammenities for meals, updated bathrooms and comfortable beds. It was a great stay.

This was the perfect home and property for our family’s visit to the area. We had family from as far away as Nebraska. We were there to see our son graduate from HSU. It was a short drive to Arcata, and the perfect home to host a luncheon following the ceremony. We were hoping to use the beautiful yard, but the weather had other plans for us....thank goodness for the spacious dining area. Everyone loved the home! Thank you so much!

Wonderful house for our families. Comfortably sleeps eight upstairs and very nice living space downstairs. Centrally located to see multiple Redwood groves and other sites in Ferndale, Eureka, etc.

We absolutely loved our stay. Having such a nice home was great for seeing family. Their house wasn't big enough to have us all there but this was perfect to entertain. Bbq in the yard on the picnic tables. We didn't even leave the the house for one of the day we were here. The only thing that would make it better would be some board games. Thanks for an amazing weekend in Eureka!

My brother, sister, and I were in town for my daughters graduation from CSU Humboldt. This is my first time renting a house (vs hotel) and it was a great choice. We are all 'seasoned' (read, getting old, Ha!) adults with discerning tastes and certain expectations - which were all met or surpassed with this property. This house has has old country charm and brand new amenities. It truly is as nice as the photos or better. Everything in the house was either brand new or in like new condition. It seems as though the house was recently renovated and painted from top to bottom as it was immaculate and the color choices were modern and pleasing. To be fair the street it is on is busy and you can hear traffic noise but not enough to dampen my spirits or hinder my sleep. I only wish I had more family with me and a little longer to enjoy the property. Thank you, James Folsom, CA
