Honestly so fun! Loved the space and really enjoyed it.

This house has plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the river. One small glitch with the gas grill, but the host was very responsive and rectified the situation quickly. At first glance, the stairs to the river look intimidating, but we made it up and down easily with our tubes and cooler. The deck has plenty of shade from the trees and numerous seating options. We used the dining room table inside for card games. It was an amazing week.

For the money the house had everything that we expected. Could have offered more toilet paper and paper towels. The dishwasher was pretty old. No light in the refrigerator. One broken chair on the porch. We LOVED the porch. Spent most of our time outside.

House was great. Check in was a little tedious, but hey it’s run by a rental company. Plenty of room and the extra guest house was perfect for a young couple. Very nice deck with plenty of seating. Kitchen was nice with the exception of the fridge not making enough ice. Bedrooms and bedding decent. Bathrooms clean but kinda limited on towels and toilet paper. The main house dryer prob needs maintenance or replacement, but guest house dryer worked just fine. Parking was great. Neighborhood was very quiet and close to plenty of fine establishments like goofy’s bar/restaurant. As other reviewers commented River is extra cold due to the proximity to canyon lake dam. Just be aware especially for younger children it can be off putting. As seasoned river rats we managed this but for the faint of heart be heedful. Over all stay was nice and worth the cost.

Separate living area further away from main house than expected . River water colder than down stream made it less desirable to get in River at House . Stove vent knob to turn on was too high to easily reach . Those were my criticisms of place. On the other hand setting was picturesque Long tables were great for family meals .

We enjoyed this house. Everything was lovely.

The property was very clean and well stocked. We really enjoyed the back deck area and gas grill. We enjoyed dining Al fresco and morning coffee on the deck. This is a great property for families and couples traveling together.

My friends and I had a fun weekend at the river. Property was as described. A/c, internet, tv all worked well and beds were comfy.

When called about broken heater, person tried to get repair person but we were so cold, my soon tried resetting it n it started working but still should be checked out You also have cockroaches, many! Saw in closets n bedrooms. From adult to tiny babies. Hoping we're not bringing home with us Some linens looked dirty. Bath mat had foot print We did love our stay and would recommend. Everything we needed was provided plus extras. Your service is GREAT.

This was a great place for our family to get together and have Christmas! Having access to the cottage was wonderful as it allowed our group to sleep comfortably. Beautiful view of the river. We hope to come back in the warmer months. If I had one recommendation, it would be to get a different stove as it does not cook evenly and acts like it has a short somewhere . The fridge is not ideal in the space it’s in as it’s difficult to open the doors.

They sent the wrong code to get in and no one was answering the phone to get the correct code. Beautiful location and spacious house but the house was not very clean.

To begin with the combination code for entering into the home as well as guest house did not work. I couldnt find a phone number to call on our check in sheet so I emailed the contact. Within 5 minutes Jennifer called me and eventually we got in but had to access a lock box to access actual keys. She was most helpful. It was getting dark and sure didn't like having to go around the back of the garage to get into a lock box. Upon entering both houses had a distinctive odor like insect spray. It dissipated in the main house but lingered the entire time we were in the guest house. More towels and wash cloths were needed in the guest house. We had two. Additionally, in the guest house the wall unit was very noisy, kind of a loud vibration. My husband is a HVAC installer and he said it was probably improperly installed. Just a heads up. In the dining room of the main house, we couldn't have the ceiling fan light on without the fan being on. It would have been nice to have the light on only. The view of the river was gorgeous. Because of rain we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked. Having six adults (siblings), it was nice having the space to spread out.

We've stayed in many places along the Guadalupe and this was one of our favorite areas. The house was nice and clean. Very impressed by how much hot water we had for showers. Location on the river was fantastic. We brought paddle boards and it was perfect for paddling. Tubing spots are very close by as well as local food spots. Would book again…

Mavericks River House was a good size and layout for our group. It is very close to The Preserve at Canyon Lake where our daughter got married during our stay. The exterior needs some maintenance and we came face-to-face with some critters, as well as the neighbors dogs when we were out back. We were comfortable for the few days we were there and the size and location are great, but don’t expect a 5-star property.

Property was exactly as described. It had plenty of space for our family to spread out and ample seating for everyone to gather. You feel like you are in a treehouse! The Guadeloupe River was cold even in August but the backyard view was unbelievably gorgeous!

We loved the house, dock, river, and quiet location. We would definitely love to come back again in the future...

This is a beautiful vacation home in a great location. The house is set up nicely and the extra little house is a bonus. Easy access into the water on the floating dock and great kayaking if you bring them with you. The water here is very cold due to the fresh springs feeding into it but on a hot summer day I found it refreshing, some folks found it too cold.

Super easy, very kind & helpful each time I called!

We were disappointed with this VRBO. We rent properties every year plus are involved with the Real Estate business and luxury homes. This is not a 5 Star property. The property did not appear as if someone did a final walk through prior to our arrival. The house looked a bit neglected vs the photos on VRBO. We first walked in and the living room floor had water on it which was also soaked into the carpet. We called twice to get this addressed and the agent seemed unsure of what action would be taken. When someone called to say they’d take care of it there was no follow up call to say someone accessed the property without us there but all of all belongings were. The chairs on the back patio were all too filthy to sit on as they were covered in tree debris, bird poop, spider webs, and dirt. We understand it is the river and outdoors but the owner should power wash the chairs and remove cobwebs. Spiders didn’t make webs that big on the house and furniture in one day. The towel hooks on the staircase had thick spider webs and were unusable. The kitchen counter wasn’t wiped very clean and there was no cleaner provided. We had to buy some. The kitchen trash can had moldy sliced peppers in the bottom. The garbage disposal had something in it so we couldn’t use it. The air conditioning vent in the hallway was filthy and the back door was too. The beautiful steel rooftop in the picture was black with thick dirt and the gutters were filled to the top with tree debris. The grill wasn’t bad but it wasn’t clean and we didn’t use it. Both bathroom doors locked people inside so we couldn’t lock those doors. The locks should be replaced. The sliding door to the laundry room wouldn’t close and the hot water heater was very noisy. The air conditioning vents in the master sounded like we were in a wind tunnel. The master king mattress sloped down on one side so it felt like we were going to roll off the bed all night. The cookware is absolutely atrocious and should be replaced. The anti stick coating is scratched up and is unsafe. It looks like the cookware is very old. If you want a 5 star property, at least buy a new $150+ set of cookware at least once a year. The bunk room pictures are deceiving. It’s not a bedroom but more like an oversized storage closet. It was way on the other side of the house and our two 12 year old boys were afraid to stay in there. We also felt like someone was in the other house

This house has it all. A private location on the river. The dock is perfect to putting in tubes or fishing. We jumped off the dock and made amazing memories. Our family of 11 fit perfectly. We can't wait to come back.

Beautifully situated along the river. Gorgeous views, we paddle boarded and tubed. House was lovely, and decently stocked. Just note that bunk room is very small and no closet, which was fine for my adult daughter. I would come back here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maverick's River Haus! My mom was able to go out onto the upper part of the deck using her electric wheelchair! She loved sitting on the deck and watching the river. What a blessing it was to have a place where we could all enjoy the river without my mom having to climb stairs. Thank you for sharing this place -- we definitely want to return.

We had a great girls trip! Highly recommend for a weekend of floating the river and hanging out on the deck.

This is a beautiful home . All accommodations were perfect. The house was perfect for our family weekend getaway. The lake is right off the the back yard and it was so peaceful. We will definitely come back. Solalinde
