We loved our New Years weekend in Deep Creek - even through the rainy weather. Rock Haul was big enough for everyone to have a bedroom but laid out so that we felt cozy hanging out at the fire pit, playing cards, sharing a meal. There are many nearby state parks and everyone had the same idea to take a walk outside. The parks were jammed thanks to warm weather. But even with the crowds in the park, the house is situated in the quiet of the woods and overlooks the calm lake. The peacefulness was well worth it. Hope to return!!

John was a terrific host, who was easy to communicate with and provided clear instructions on finding and staying in the property. The house was clean and met our needs well. Great location at Deep Creek.

Beautiful large home. Great porch with lake views. Comfortable beds, clean, lovely communal areas. Only drawbacks are one bath on each floor and lots of stairs. We loved it and hope to go back.

The house was spacious and let the family spread out and enjoy the room. We enjoyed the mountains air.

The property had everything we needed for our stay. While the house itself is not up-to-date, it had all we needed and was reasonable given the price. We took our boat, so the easy access to it at the dock was awesome!

My family ( grandparents, uncles, aunts, and kid cousins) had a blast! We spent most days at the dock and on our boat ( we brought a family boat) and we spent the evenings either playing games or by the campfire. We went to swallow falls one day as well. Great, simple getaway.

We had a very good time and settled in easily. The property is surrounded by beautiful trees and we had great walks.

This home was perfect for our short get way for our family. The house was clean, spacious and provided us with basic amenities that we forgot to bring. They had movies and games for us to use and the beautiful view of lake was gorgeous. If we ever come back to deep creek again, this will be the home we choose.

I loved this house. 2 couples plus 1 stayed and it was very cozy. We liked the house layout and it had all the necessities. My husband and I stay in Deep Creek 2-3 times a year and rarely stay at the same house, but we all agreed we would stay here again!

Rock Haul was a great place. The house is wonderful and the location is superb. There are many dishes, serving pieces, and pots and pans. The dining room table was big so we could all fit there. Overall, we all had a happy Thanksgiving at Rock Haul.

My friends and I enjoyed this property. Lots of room. Plenty of bedrooms. It’s a great place to stay. We will stay again if in that area.

It's a very comfortable house where the 2 families had enough space for all. We had bad weather and had to stay in the house more than planed and the house handled it very well!

The home is older but is well maintained. There are 3 floors with bedrooms on top and bottom. The porch is fabulous. The kitchen and dining area was good for cooking and eating. Outdoor fire pit was a bonus.

What a lovely relaxed feel in this spacious, unpretentious home! We so enjoyed the opportunity to relax on the outdoor porch and the hear the sound of birdsong, which carried on from early morning until dark. The use of the reserved dock allowed us to use our kayaks with ease. We found several places in the neighborhood for safe and pleasant walks with our dog, and she enjoyed the spaciousness and comfort of this home as much as we did. We definitely plan to come back.

House was in great condition, perfect for a big group. Beautiful scenery, and clear/easy communication with owner. Definitely recommend.

This house was perfect for our family. They also allowed us to bring our dogs. It was a short walk for our kids to swim off the dock and for our dogs to go swimming as well. It was fully equipped with everything to meet our needs. We look forward to spending another week next year at this property.

We did not stay at North Glades. We stayed at their other location, Rock Haul. Overall we had a nice stay. The house had a lot of mosquitoes inside before we got there. The basement was extremely damp. We had the dehumidifier running the whole time with a floor fan and by the 6 th night it was better. Our kids clothes were damp from being downstairs and the bed sheets were so damp they couldn’t sleep on the beds. The owners installed a new dehumidifier on our last night. It would also be nice to have scissors and pot holders that are useful. Simple amenities could be updated. There is not much of a lake view when the trees are blooming. There are ALOT of steps in this house so I would not recommend it for elderly people.

My extended family were very comfortable in this house with bedrooms for everyone and a large dining room. The kitchen had all the appliances and cooking equipment we needed and there were fans for each window. The two bedrooms upstairs with A/C window units kept the upstairs cool as long as the bedroom doors were kept open. the owners provided a pass for Deep Creek State Park which had a great beach. We also enjoying very much walking to and swimming in the Swallow Falls which was a short drive away. My family had a great time - swimming, playing board games, watching fireworks, and roasting marshmallows!

Our extended family had a good time and was comfortable in this house. There is lots of room and the kitchen is pretty well equipped. We enjoyed swimming off the dock, and spent a night around the fire ring.
