The property was even better than promised in the listing. Set in beautiful countryside with stunning views, the house maintained its vintage atmosphere with sacrificing modern creature comforts. The host was a pleasure to deal with, and my only complaint is that we should have made a long booking. Will be returning soon.

A wonderful character home that was cozy and warm. Very clean, loved that the linen and towels are provided and a well stocked kitchen. Brilliant 1862 Homestead so beautifully restored & furnished. Very Very clean, well equipped kitchen, bathroom, heating, bedding, dining room, the list goes on. Lovely welcome bottle of wine, chocolate, bread, milk. Well stocked for our needs The garden with it’s little nooks, seating areas, beautifully done, loved exploring the grounds, definitely would stay here again. The Manse is an amazing property. Built in 1861 it has so much history and authentic features. Decorated beautifully to match the era. Lots of interesting little artistic treasures to discover around the house and garden. The gardens are lush and peaceful and abounding with bird and wildlife. Lots of interesting nooks and crannies to read a book or sip a glass of wine with friends and family.

This beautifully restored and tastefully decorated home is an absolute gem. Strongly recommend!

This was a fantastic house for our group of six to celebrate Christmas in winter. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen and dining area well equipped for our special dinner and the atmosphere cosy with wood fires. We enjoyed visiting the farmer's market in Lancefield on Saturday morning and walks at Woodend and Macedon. A great choice not far from Melbourne. Thanks Adele.

Well , what a delight this place was - 5 bedrooms - clean linen and towels provided - beautifully furnished and fitted out - cosy fires and potbelly stove -lovely gardens and aspect - walking distance into Lancefield - the hostess "Adele" is a charming and helpful guide who takes real pride in her property . Very affordable for that part of Victoria , and we plan to stay again !

Four ladies met for a sewing get together. Fabulous accommodation and great area. Wonderful weekend had by all, some sewing but lots of chatter & fun 🤩. Wood fires kept us warm on such a cold weekend. Thank you 😊

Our family enjoyed our recent stay at The Manse in Lancefield. The house was comfortable, warm and cosy. The fires were set for us when we arrived, the beds were super comfortable and the grounds were lovely to walk around. We had everything we needed for a long weekend out of Melbourne.

We loved our 4 night break at this immaculate historical home in Lancefield. The house provided everything you could need for a peaceful stay and had beautiful period fittings and furnishings. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable bedding, and we made good use of the full sized kitchen and the large dining room with fireplace. The garden is lovely with lots of different nooks for relaxing in, and the enclosed courtyard is perfect for settling in with a good book. The verandah is around 3 sides at the front of the house and was great for an afternoon drink after a long day. The house was the perfect base for travelling around the Goldfields region and is only 1 hour from the city. Our host met us when we arrived and provided a detailed tour of the house, and was very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. We'd love to come back again.

A large house suitable for a number of people. Beautiful outdoor seating area. Some noise from nearby road.

The Manse was exactly what we needed for our retreat. Enough space for us all, wi fi so as to connect with leaders elsewhere around Australia. Rooms are super comfy and warm. Gardens are lovely to sit and walk in. Great spots to eat at in local towns, and buy grocery supplies. We had to delay our trip twice. Adele was able to do that with no difficulty nor fuss.

The property was better than advertised! It ticked all the boxes for hosting my 50th birthday gathering with friends from Melbourne and interstate. Close to the airport, large enough for us all, comfy and warm beds, great fireplaces, well stocked kitchen, gorgeous grounds to wander around and sit in. Adele was a fabulous host who met us on arrival and promptly answered any queries. I look forward to staying at this property again for other group events.
