We had an amazing time staying at this property. The entire property was very clean and well maintained. Maku'u Point is worth the short walk and the Tin Shack Bakery makes the best coffee and sandwiches.

7 of us recently stayed at the Villa Paraiso and it was a nice, quiet, relaxing enclave. There's tons of space to spread out - we did not feel crowded at all. Everything was as-advertised and clean. Very well stocked, from every possible kitchen item you'd need (including spices), to all the beach accessories you'd need for a day on the beach (umbrellas, chairs, cooler, etc). There are also several bikes for use, and an extensive library of DVD movies. A whole chest full of pool toys for the pool. Not a far drive from Pāhoa or Hilo. A good central starting point to get to the aforementioned towns, Volcanoes National Park, beaches, parks, etc. Pool, spa, lanai great to come home to and relax after a day of exploring. Communication with both the owner and the on-island manager was great. Check-in instructions were clear and easy. We were greeted by the manager on our first morning and she had some great recommendations for local things to do and see. My only complaint is that we should have stayed longer! Don't be alarmed if there are a few bugs, it's part of life on the island.

Photos of house were misleading. It needs a lot of maintenance. Billiard table is on second floor so inaccessible to family members with leg issues. No AC. Cockroaches in house. Rats in yard. Pool guy showed up often and at random times instead of when scheduled.

After two weeks at resorts we loved being able to settle our family into a house to relax & cook for ourselves. No hitches in getting into the home & caretaker was a nice source of information & easily reached. Great location to easily drive to everything we wanted to see on this side if the island. Kitchens both indoor & outdoor are great & I personally enjoyed after resort food. No A/C in house but that is no problem once you get the house opened up & breezes come through. If we get back to Big Island again this house will be a repeat if available.

Loved staying at Villa Paraiso in Keaau, HI! The property was magnificent and perfect for our group of 10. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their stay. My grandchildren loved the pool and we spent many hours seating out on the lanai. Not enough can be said about how great the kitchen was and it allowed us to serve most of our meals in a relaxing manner. Hated to leave at the close of our 10 day visit.

Our family of 4 (myself, my husband and our two boys 6 and 9) stayed at Villa Paraiso for 8 days. We were looking for our own place removed from town and the touristy spots, and it did not disappoint. The house is a good 15 minutes from a local market and 20-30 minutes from restaurants in the area, but if you’re ok with being a little farther out and getting that true local feel, this is the place! Juan, the owner, was more than accommodating. So much so that he was willing to buy a small stand up AC unit for the downstairs bedroom (I was a bit nervous renting a house in Hawaii in June with no AC). I do have to mention that there were a few nights that were very hot and uncomfortable (the upstairs bedrooms have a bamboo floor so AC isn’t possible there) but we are also from Colorado and not used to humidity. There were also a few nights where it cooled off nicely and the breeze from the ocean made it much easier to sleep. Definitely something to consider if you’re thinking about visiting in the summer though. That was the only downside to the house. The pool and hot tub were amazing…we spent the majority of our time there (the pool toys for the boys were a huge hit). The house itself is lovely and spacious, perfect size for our family and would accommodate more people easily. The kitchen is huge and well stocked. Juan also has an extensive movie collection so we enjoyed family movie nights and my boys also enjoyed playing PlayStation games and riding the bikes around as well (when they needed a break from the pool). The property manager Yvette was also a big help. She met us our first day at the house to go over everything, and ended up being a great resource for us throughout the trip. All in all it was a great stay…a true slice of paradise!

We had 2 families with kids (6-8 year olds) and grandparents. We all enjoyed the house, especially the pool and hot tub and all the pool toys! The adults enjoyed the lanai; and the BBQ grill was a plus. There were plenty of things to do on the island that we didn't have enough time to do everything the house has to offer. Next time, we need to stay longer, so that we can enjoy the billiard/room and the large flat screen TV with video games. The house was clean and updated; kitchen was large and spacious for multiple people to prep and cook; even grandpa who's a chef was impressed. Ice maker was a plus; and they had plastic ware for the kids and were placed in a low cabinet for the kids' reach. Both the owner and on-site manager were very responsive to all our questions and needs. We will definitely return! Mahalo, Juan and Yvette!

We loved our stay. The house was gorgeous and had everything that we needed. It felt very safe and was like you own little retreat in a tropical paradise. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of fans to keep the air circulating. The outdoor area, pool and spa were great. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer in the garage to clean our wet beach clothes. My kids loved all of the pool toys and beach gear. Definitely will be back.

Our group of 3 couples and 7 kids (ages 7-13) reserved this beautiful house for 6 nights as part of our Hawaiian vacation. The three bedrooms were perfect for the adults, while the kids had no problem crashing in the living room (they didn't want to leave the huge TV anyway). The location was good for seeing the Hilo side of the island, and we loved relaxing in the pool/hot tub after a long day of touring. Also, the kitchen is amazing! The property manager was very responsive when we couldn't figure out how to open the driveway gate to get out. We'd definitely recommend this house to others travelling to the big island looking for a relaxing get-away.

This was the best stay we have ever had. Clean. Easy. Beautiful. Lots of space. Absolutely incredible!!!

We absolutely loved our time here. If you want a place where all your needs are thought of and provided for prior to your arrival, book this one. Two ice machines to fill the provided cooler for your adventures every day. A beautiful kitchen with all the items you could possibly need if staying home to recover from your hike to green sand beach the day before. I suggest firing up the grill and utilizing the beautiful outdoor lanai next to the pool and hottub whilst plotting for what adventure or hike you seek tomorrow. We couldn't have hoped for a better place or time, only wish it could've lasted a bit longer, no doubt you will feel the same.

We had a group of seven including 4 adults and 3 children between the ages of 8-12. From the start, Juan was very responsive and great to work with. We had very high expectations of this property and it did not disappoint. The property was very clean and well appointed. The checking directions were very easy. Also, Yvette the property manager was very nice and easy to work with. We especially liked that there was laundry detergent, toilet paper and other kitchen items provided, which makes it much easier when renting a place away from home. The pictures were very accurate and we found the space to be wonderful for the size of our group. We especially loved the outdoor area including the pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen. The location was great as we were looking for a true Hawaiian experience away from the resorts. One of our favorite things to do was to walk down the street to the cove and watch the waves. The house was a good location from many attractions in the area, such as downtown Hilo, volcanoes national Park, rainbow falls and akaka falls. We definitely felt the Aloha and a piece of paradise at this property. I would definitely rent it again!

Juan and Yvette were responsive and accommodating. The seamlessness at every point made us able to enjoy our first time on the big island right away without concern. The place was as advertised - spacious and clean. We will work with them again on any return trip to the Hilo area.

My family and I had a great stay at Villa Parasio. The house had everything we needed for a great stay and plenty of room for everybody. The house was very clean and well kept, and a great outdoor space that everybody was able to enjoy. We found it very conveniently located for exploring the eastern side of the island.

The house is a great place to stay with a large group. The pool and outdoor area is awesome and the fact that you can hear the ocean from there is such a nice bonus. You can walk about 5 minutes to the water. Inside the staircase is really beautiful and there were plenty of amenities like a big tv, games, books, and a billiards table. The indoor kitchen is large and has a sizable ice maker and multiple sinks. There are plenty of fans for the bedrooms to have good airflow since there is no AC. Both the owner and local contact for house are responsive and helpful. If you need a house for a large group on the east side of the Big Island this is an excellent choice.

We had a great stay at Villa Paraiso. The house itself and the grounds are enormous. There was plenty of room for our group to spread out. The interior of the house was in pristine condition, and the landscaping around the house is fabulous. We spent a lot of time by the pool and on the lanai. The kitchen is enormous, which worked out great for cooking. Juan and Yvette were also super responsive throughout the process. Overall, great trip!

Truly a gem. Beautiful house, super comfortable. Had everything we needed. Really appreciated the well stocked gourmet chef's kitchen which had everything we needed and much more. The pool was fabulous. Most mornings I awoke to splashing because someone was taking a 6 am dip! Really appreciated the little extras like shampoo, conditioner, bug spray, games, bikes, toys and condiments. We also enjoyed the beautiful decor and tech items included. Yvette, our meet and greet gal was a delight. Would reommend with no hesitation.

The house and amenities are exceptional. We were a multi-generational family of 12. The kids loved the pool, the adults loved the kitchen. The house is extremely well-stocked with everything you could possibly need to have a great time. It is a bit remote so that is a plus or minus depending on what you want. We chose this location to have easier access to Volcanoes National Park, which we were able to enjoy. The only reason I wouldn't rank this home a 5+ star is the lack of air-conditioning and the noise of the surrounding frogs. The frogs start their LOUD mating call at dusk until early morning hours. Since we were staying in mid-July and there was no air conditioning, we preferred to keep the windows open to catch any cooling breeze. But the frogs were really disruptive. All of us felt that AC in the house would have mitigated some of the noise of the frogs because we could have closed the windows comfortably at night. Hopefully, the local jurisdiction can find a way to get rid of the frogs.Anyway, it is truly a beautiful home with beautiful grounds, nice pool, outdoor kitchen, lots of amenities.

This vacation stay exceeded every expectation. The communication with the property manager as well as the owner was helpful, friendly, and quick! The house itself was spectacular. My son (8) played the ps5 on the big screen as was in heaven from the moment we walked in. The beds were all so comfortable. While the house is stunning, the outdoor area is what really steals the show. The pool, oh my, that pool. The built in jacuzzi was perfection. The shaded porch for my handicapped father-in-law with so many comfortable areas to watch the kids play, it was simply amazing. The grounds were equally incredible. My daughter (5) spent her time out of the pool discovering different lizards and marveling at the pineapple plant fully loaded with fruit. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay a few more nights here.

Our family of five, plus two family friends, stayed there for four nights and we had a great time. The house had everything we needed from comfortable beds to kitchenware and even Netflix. The pool was awesome, plenty of toys to keep the kids happy. Being from Alaska , at first the June heat surprised us - but with the windows open and fans going we were comfortable. The property manager was really nice and had tons of helpful local information to share with us. Our family would love to stay at this property again someday :)

We are. family of 5 who rented Villa Paraiso and absolutely loved it. The house was a surprise for my wife's 50th and she loved it!! the Pool and Spa and BBQ area were great, tons of space and privacy, the house is gorgeous and very, very well stocked from high tech items to all the top of the line cookware, appliances , even a fantastic ice maker!! Great indoor and outdoor lounging areas, our last day we decided to just stay at Villa Paraiso and enjoy all that it has to offer!! I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a little bit of paradise!!

We so enjoyed staying at this property! It was a beautiful home and you can hear the ocean from the back yard. Only a 5 minute walk from the house, and we were at the ocean and able to walk on the lava cliffs. The only thing that would make it better would be Air Conditioning, but I'm not sure how many homes in Hawaii utilize it. Thanks, so much, Juan and Yvette for making our vacation lovely.

A fabulous home with all the amenities that one can wish for...and more. A spacious villa for our group of 1 to 74 years old to spend time together, yet it is well designed so that each one of us could "escape" for a quiet solo time. Spacious kitchen with the best cooking utensils to prepare fine dinners for all. The house is spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. The lovely garden was a great place to wake up and welcome a new day. We enjoyed the relaxing time by the pool, and treated ourselves to a soothing evening in the Jacuzzi after our hike in the Kilauea Iki crater. Best of all...the prompt and effective communications with the owner and the manager of the property. I have stayed in many rented homes all over the country and abroad, and the response and flexibility of this team was by far THE BEST. I do hope to return to Hawaii and will definitely book ahead of time so I can stay again in this awesome home.

Villa was wonderful. Felt like a private compound. Loved the pool and outdoor kitchen. House was nice and large. No AC was a bit of an adjustment but seems normal for the island.

This is a beautiful home and well maintained. Yvette, the hostess checked us in and was informative of sights to see and she always responded quickly to our emails about restaurant suggestions. Our children loved the pool, making s’mores and of course the video games. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying our family here.
