My wife & 2 friends stayed at the retreat. The accommodation was excellent. There was everything you wanted for cooking & a lovely BBQ area outside. The water views looking back at Port Arthur were outstanding.

Just outside Port Arthur in a sleepy village called Carnavon Bay, Bay Retreat was a comfortable and ideally placed home to visit the Three Capes Walk as day trips. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing, Bay Retreat was a great place to stay.

Was easy to access tourist activities of Port Arthur. The trees and bay offered a peaceful setting with lots of wildlife.

Clean and convenient location. Only issue was that I didn't receive any communication after paying the deposit -- this was likely an issue with Stayz and not the host. But I had a fright when I saw that my final payment was way overdue. As for the property, the setting is lovely and everything worked as expected.

Quiet, warm and roomy retreat
A great place to stay when exploring the Tasman Peninsula, its centrally located to all historic and scenic sites. Would suit a family or two couples, and everything is there to cater for long comfortable stays.

Central to Tasman Peninsula highlights and a 20 minute walk to the location of Port Arthur Historical Site which can be viewed across the bay from the accommodation. The house is as presented on VRBO and situated so that occupants are not aware of there being any neighbors. Highly recommended.

We found the property a little dated with uncomfortable sofas,small TV, noisy water pump and an unexpected mezzanine bedroom.

Exceelent property
Nice view just next to the sea shore, with a lot of privacy too. The location is not far from the historic port arthur site, where you can find restaurant, infomation and quite some other activities around. Room size is good. Very relax property only thing is if you are not with Telstra you may find the signal a bit of issue, but host is going to have an WIFI installed soon.

Excellent Property Close to Historic Site
We stayed for 3 nights at this property with our two grand daughters aged 9 and 5 years.It was an excellent stay. The property is well secured, quiet, clean and very close to the Port Arthur Historic Site. One of our grand daughters has a broken arm and the provision of both a separate shower and a bath tub made personal bathing so much easier for her. The washing machine and dryer are high quality appliances and much appreciated. The house was warm and comfortable. We highly recommend the property.

Fabulous location
We had a great stay at Bay Retreat though would have liked an extra couple of days. Right on the water with easy access for boats, canoes an water activities. The amenities at the house good and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Kitchen well equipped and spotlessly presented which is a must for a good cook. We recommend at least 3 days to explore the area and enjoy the surroundings...a week would be even better
