The house is very comfortable. My friends and I spent a relaxing few days by the river. Lots of room for the five of us college buddies who get together for a few days at least once a year. Beds are comfortable, TVs to watch baseball games, sat out on the deck under beautiful trees, great access to the river. The house is a little worn from usage, but nothing broken and everything clean. All necessities are there. Nice location on the river and less than 10 minutes to get to Sattler for groceries, pizza and hamburgers. Rhonda at Vacay Hill Country was very attentive; helped us get an early check in and gave us a phone call to ask if we needed anything.

The house was nice and cozy. We were upset that the grass was really tall while all the neighbors grass was mowed. That made it difficult to enjoy being right on the river. The chairs outside had a lot of cracked legs but overall it was a nice getaway.

This property was really nice and convenient to the river. Any communication that I had with the management company was responded to you in a very timely manner overall it was a excellent experience

Location is great , great landing to float right outside the back door.. Patio with fantasic views of the river. Loved this place will be back again!

Perfect location, clean home, had everything we didn’t think of bringing

House was perfect for us (5 adults, 2 kids). Clean and everything worked. We did have one problem that popped up mid-visit but property manager got it fixed right away. One of the best VBRO stays that we have had.

This is on the perfect spot for a stay on the river. Although the house is older, it is very clean and well maintained. The kitchen provided enough space to cook for eight. All appliances worked. A big table provided space for boardgames and puzzles. The real treasure of this place is it's setting on the river. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We loved the property and the river views! The house was perfect for the 7 of us to enjoy our thanksgiving, and the kids loved all the outside space and foosball table. The weather was chilly but that didn’t stop us from kayaking down the river! We plan to book again for the summer so we can float the river! Thank you

A very relaxing and quiet stay. Near enough to San Antonio and New Braunfels (wedding in NB) but secluded enough for quiet. A few kayakers. Would be fun to come and do that sometime. we only had two vehicles but 3 would definitely max out the parking area. So glad we picked this property.

It's a great property with a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, and everything you need to have a great stay. The deck is huge and well-lit for nighttime games or dinner out. Easy access to the river with chairs to carry down as well. Nice place!

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Having someone rush onto the property on early Tuesday to take trash cans to curb which we entirely planned on taking out Tuesday evening was a bit unnerving. The house itself needed some work, with cracks in the tile and damage to some walls. Also, the back deck and stairs didn’t look like they had been swept in awhile. There was also a pair of shorts and trash under the beds.

This was our tenth stay at this wonderful house. Direct river access. Room to spread out. A responsive management team with SkyRun. Improvements every year. All these make our annual stay a delight.

The property location was great which is what was the most important! Great spot on the water, with a shallow area perfect for kids swimming and some nice deep areas to swim in. Plenty of dishes, utensils, pots/pans, blender and really everything you need! Washer and dryer was nice to! The only down side is the sliding door leading out to the porch water/gets stuck and was a pain to open. Other than that it was perfect. We enjoyed cooking dinner each night, used the BBQ pit and sat down at the nice big table, perfect for 8 adults.

Perfect location, clean home, easy check in process , easy to get in and out of river even though it rained the entire trip.

The deck is huge overlooking the River. Just steps away from floating or sitting with your feet in the water. Love the lights strung on the deck. Thank you for a great experience.

We loved this house! Everything was super easy. One of the cleanest places I've ever rented. I wish there would have been more toliet paper/paper towels but everything else was amazing. Great water location.

We all had a great time and loved being on the river. It was too cold for most of us to get in the water, but my 2 boys did get in. The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of seating for the 8 of us

Our stay was a breeze for us. Check-in/check-out was simple, the property management company was quick and helpful, and the house was clean. Only very minor things were noticed but not even worth docking a star (cracked tile in the upstairs bathroom, labels on measuring cup were rubbed off, backyard gate door was somewhat difficult to unlock).

We had a blast for my 40th birthday celebration. We enjoyed eating out on the deck and having drinks by the water. We weren’t far from the town of Gruene and enjoyed an afternoon of shopping and eating.

Owner is surely not aware of of the deterioration of the property. Management is doing poor job for owner. Broken furniture, cobwebs inside and out. Rusted out vents and bathroom cabinetry everywhere. Electrical outlets not working. Dirty garage fan in bedroom which already had a ceiling fan. Could not see out the windows because of the dirt and cobwebs. Cleaning lady (on property when we arrived at our designated check in time) did perfunctory cleaning. Food crumbs on furniture and floor. Stains on carpet throughout. Backed up septic system which caused toilet overflow in 2 bathrooms a few hours after our arrival. Fortunately, this was taken care of shortly after we reported problem. Thank you SkyRun. Glass shards on patio left over from table top which was broken before we arrived. We had an infant in our party so this was a concern for us. Top was replaced within a day of our arrival. The river access is wonderful. The location is beautiful. Property could not be appreciated because of the condition of the house itself. Our family has stayed at various VRBO properties, including one in Mexico. This is the worst property we been in which is truly a shame given the property's potential.

It was way more impressive than we thought it would be. Very spacious house and the backyard view was amazing. The 2 back patios we great and everything we could need was provided. The beds were very comfortable and clean, there was plenty of fans throughout the house and they all worked great. Lots of seating provided which was great for our party of 8. Going down to the water was a bit rough for our baby but nothing crazy. The bonfire pit that was by the water was great and the water access was perfect for the little ones. All in all everything was FANTASTIC. We do recommend that you bring plenty of mosquito repelentes, the property has the tiki torches out back which work great for the night but those little buggers are relentless lol. We will definitely be back next year.

Had a enjoyable, relaxing stay with my sisters here. Because we are neatniks we were worried about previous reviews saying it was dirty and the bed upstairs was uncomfortable. But we did not find this to be the case at all. Property was clean, all beds were comfortable, and the toilet seat that people mentioned in other reviews had been replaced. Beautiful location. Plenty of room to spread out. We had just four of us, but could have had several families easily. I docked one star because wifi doesn't work and umbrella was broken, and though owner responded immediately to my initial report, there was no follow up. Luckily we didn't need to use a laptop or tablet, but we did have to use our data. Overall a great place and would stay here again!

Perfect House that backs up to the river

This house sits on the Guadalupe river. There is a wonderful beach on the water's edge, made up of long rocks. This area was perfect for the toddler in our family. She could walk and play without fear of deep water. The middle of the river was deeper and the older children enjoyed playing. The water was cold, but felt great in August! The house had all essentials and lots of extras- including air pump for tubes, noodles, fishing poles, etc. There was an extra fridge in the garage, which was very convenient for holding extra food. The four bedrooms were spacious. The house has two small living rooms, but this allows for separation within the home. The home has a deck and an outdoor eating area. This area is private and unique. Based on the deck, shallow beach, and sloping yard, this house is absolutely the best in the area!
