Can’t say enough about the property and the owner. The cabin was just what I wanted for my girlfriend’s 40th birthday get away. You are about 15 mins from a main road. You overlook the lake and at night it is just the sound of nature. We had some issues that the owner took care of promptly and we had great communication. Probably the cleanest VRBO/home stay I have had in a very long time. So many times it seems like the cleaning fee is an excuse to get extra money but in this place you can tell it is put to use. Things to know: Verizon service was 0. The WiFi is satellite so there are restrictions on downloads and streaming. I was able to work from the cabin over VPN but Teams meetings was a bit sketchy. The cabin is 1.5miles down a dirt road which if you have a low car can take some effort. The driveway is steep and cars will need some speed to get up it but we have a Malibu and I never worried it wasn’t going to make it after the first time. I highly recommend downloading the map of the area on Google. Take your time and read the road signs don’t rely completely on GPS.

My husband and I came here hoping to see the leaves doing their thing, while relaxing in what we hoped would be a pretty setting. We got more than we hoped for. Staying on the lake while still having the Mountain View’s was the best of both worlds. The home was lovely, the lake was beautiful and the area was quiet. We had a great stay.

Had a blast

We truly enjoyed our fall break at this cabin! The lake is gorgeous. We took advantage of the kayaks and fire pit. The space was perfect for us with our 17 year old daughter and 9 year old son. They each had their own room which they loved. The view of the lake from every room and each balcony and the hot tub is perfection! We left a couple of times and went into Murphy for the River Walk and then Highlands for some shopping and lunch. Greg was super helpful with questions while we were there. Loved everything about it!

We stayed at this lake cabin for four nights and could not be happier with the accommodations. It is a beautiful clean home that feels like truly like a home. They offer so much more than just a clean lakefront home... paddle boards, kayaks, a firepit, hot tub, amazing lake views. Fantastic experience here.

Overall we totally enjoyed our stay.? House was beautiful and well supplied. Only recommendation is lighting of landscaping needs attention and as a veteran the tattered American flag was a embarrassment.

My wife and I stayed 3 days here in late May. The home was very clean and well equipped. On the main level is the master bedroom, living room with a gas fireplace, kitchen, deck with a grill, and beautiful views of the lake from all rooms. If you navigate using your phone I suggest printing a hard copy of directions as you will likely lose cell reception en route.

We came down from Chicago to get away from city life and relax! We kayaked, fished from the Dock, built a fire, roasted marshmallows over the fire pit, sat in the hot tub and listened to the owls and just spent quality family time with our teenaged kids. House was great. We had plenty of room, Beds were comfy and house was very clean! Would love to come back!

What a beautiful place on the lake! Super quiet. I loved how the owners provided kayaks, canoes and life vests. Every room has a view to the lake and mountains. We fished every morning from the boat dock - 2 fishing poles located in the downstairs game room (pool table, couches, game table and 2 bedrooms/baths and laundry room). Things included are: full kitchen pots, pans, crockpot, baking, Kurig, reg Coffee maker, grilling utensils etc. Things not included are s/p spices, oil, aluminum foil, papertowels etc. I would suggest going to grocery store first before arriving. The drive to cabin is beautiful but very very windy and about 30 min from grocery! Tons of board games available, satellite tv and dvd movies. We had such a great time! SUCH a great time! Have coffee on the balcony watching so many birds and at night, relax in front of the fireplace with a nice glass of wine. This place was great for my husband and I or for large families. So much room!! Thanks so much to Greg for making our anniversary stay one to remember! We will ABSOLUTELY be back!

This was our 2nd time visiting this Cabin because we had such a great experience the first time! We’ve been lucky enough to have snow both times, and love the gorgeous views. We hope to return one Spring or Summer to enjoy the lake.

Our stay was phenomenal! The beauty of the house only comes second to the view. A great family getaway!

We chose this property for our annual family Christmas vacation. The cabin is absolutely beautiful with amazing views. The walk to the lake is a bit far down and the walk back up is not the easiest. The driveway is quite steep but we have a 2 wheel drive SUV and had no issues. I suggest going trout fishing at Otter Creek Trout farm about 30 minutes away, it was a fun outing for the family. We grilled our catch for dinner that night. Also during the winter months there is snow tubing in Maggie Valley a little over an hour away. Greg was a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with. Thank you so much for a lifetime of memories made!

Our experience was absolutely wonderful here! The views are stunning and the location is so peaceful and relaxing. From the bird watching in the morning, the campfires by the lake, to evenings in the hot tub and watching the stars at night, this location exceeded any expectations I could have had. The house is very comfortable and cozy. The fireplaces were great and we really enjoyed the pool table and games. Kitchen was perfectly equipped and beds were very comfortable. The driveway and ride up were not at all bad either. We’ve stayed at properties where the driveway gave me anxiety and made me not want to leave. While there is an incline, it was absolutely manageable for us. We’re from Florida so even the smallest inclines are nerve racking and this was very easy. It was a little closer to the neighbors than I expected but we didn’t mind at all. This was the perfect peaceful and relaxing getaway and I would absolutely stay again!!

We enjoyed the stay. The house was as described and everything was in great shape. The views were fantastic and the cove was private. The fire pit was a highlight for us. We would stay again. Some commented on the steep drive, but we had no issues at all.

We had a wonderful time, home and property are great. Recommend all wheel drive vehicle for steep driveway.

We had a fabulous vacation! The house is everything the reviews say about it. Super clean, big, and has amazing views of the lake. Incredible place to stay. We rented a boat for the week and our kids and friends skied all week. We have stayed in the area before but this house is the best by far. We will be back.

The house was perfect, with everything we needed! Kayaks, paddle boards and a floating pad!!! The views off the balconies were beautiful. Our host Greg, was easy to reach and VERY helpful from booking throughout our vacation time and after! We will be back!! Highly recommend!!

The views are incredible and you probably wont find a better rental in this area. The host is responsive and very helpful. Secluded property, which was nice, and the gated community made us feel safe.

truly perfect cabin in a fantastic setting. If you haven’t been to nantahala area, it’s just really beautiful. The cabin porch has a perfect view of the lake. The hot tub is a great addition to cooking dinner and relaxing after a full day of fishing. The area is a bit remote (which is what we were looking for) but the ingles in Andrew’s (about 30min away) has everything you need and more. Finding the perfect cabin like this, with activities to do in the evening, completes a nice vacation which would mostly be focused on everything to do there outdoors during the day- whether that’s fly fishing, lake fishing, hiking, or even white water rafting

We were looking for a place to send off a good friend moving away. This was perfect. Plenty of space, private site, perfect cove. Tech connections are sketchy- between location and storms quite a bit of buffering but turned into a running joke for us and we talked and laughed more together. Greg was responsive and we had everything we needed and much more! Definitely will be back!!!

We were six adults, two generations of one family. The home was perfect. From the moment we were greeted by the beautiful views of the mountains and Lake Nantahala we knew that we were in for a restful stay. Everything was provided, from the wine glasses in the fully equipped kitchen to the sups and Kayaks. The younger set closed out the evenings in the hot tub or playing billiards with music and we never heard a sound (the house is solidly built). There is terrific hiking, white water and fishing within a short drive. I didn't want to leave the house...
