Herb and Janette are fantastic hosts whose property is in a beautiful location and who go beyond the usual to make sure their house is well stocked with those conveniences that you take for granted at home including utensils, crockery, and pantry basics for groups up to 8 people. They even had picnic resources, travel mugs and thermoses for us to take out during our day trips. Their friendliness and local knowledge also made sure we made the most of our short time on KI.

Our wonderful hosts Herb and Janette provided the best equipped and most comfortable holiday home we have stayed in.The home has a lovely view to the sea and is in a whisper quiet location. The kitchen and lounge are spacious and well equipped. Location was very close to the jetty, beach, penguins and a koala. The deck was a wonderful highlight at the beginning and end of wonderful day trips around the island. The home was very clean. We had a wonderful holiday.

If you are after luxury and top end finishes, plus friendly and helpful owners then this is definitely the place for you. Great views, kangaroos in the back paddock, a resident echidna and everything you could possibly want for anything from one night to a week or two. Plenty of space, and super friendly hosts to give hints on what to see and where the best places to visit are. Cannot recommend highly enough - if I ever come back to Kangaroo Island this is where I’m staying.

Our stay at Searenity Home was amazing. Herb and Janette met us at the property and showed us around. It had an amazing view of Emu Bay and was centrally located on the island, reasonably close too all attractions. It was clean, well kept and had everything you could want included. We were visited by some kangaroos most days too which was a bonus.

Janette and Herb have thought of everything! This beautiful, spotless home has everything you will need for an amazing stay! A beautiful location with sea views, quiet and private and walking distance to beautiful Emu Bay! A short drive to Kingscote and access to the rest of beautiful Kangaroo Bay. The only mistake we made was not staying longer at Searenity!

The warm welcome was only beaten by quality of the accommodation. Everything you could want was there and on first sight you could easily believe it was a brand new home. Great location,wonderful views,excellent hosts and good value for money. What else could you ask for?

The accommodation was excellent value for money. We had a terrific time on Kangaroo Island and the hosts were very welcoming. We appreciated the extra effort Herb and Janette went to, to make our unplanned extended break enjoyable.

A beautiful home that had everything we needed and more, including spectacular views from the lounge room. Hosts were lovely and met us on arrival, their knowledge of the island was invaluable. We only had 1 full day on KI and of course wanted to fit in as much as possible!! Herb was able to recommend some of the highlights on the island and our family had a fantastic time creating memories for a lifetime. From the seals (and all their babies) at Admirals Arch to Remrakable Rocks we loved every minute of it. We would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to anyone visiting KI.

Very convenient to all attractions, lovely views of the sea, sheltered from the wind and private. Obviously a very well cared for home with great attention to detail. We stayed for 3 nights and could easily have stayed a week.

Herb and Janette made us most welcome during our short stay at Searenity. They went out of their way to ensure that our large family gathering was comfortably accommodated. We didn't have the best of weather so being in a terrific house was more important, and Searenity did not disappoint. Fully equipped kitchen and beautiful view.

We had a lovely stay. The accommodation is very nice. It is very well tended and the hosts were very friendly. We highly recommend the property.

"The Serenity of Searenity!"I travelled to Kangaroo Island with my husband, and two other couples early February and we all stayed at Searenity. It was wonderful!! Having stayed in holiday homes before, this one was by far my favourite. The layout of the house was perfect with living areas in the front and bed & bathrooms in the back. It provided a beautiful view of Emu Bay and is only a short walk to the Jetty and the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed (some holiday homes only provided a limited amount of cooking items and utensils but this one left us searching for nothing)! All linens and towells were also provided including towells for the beach and deck chairs. Our hosts were so friendly, greeting us upon arrival and giving us ample information on our area. Herb is a retired park ranger so he was able to give us lots of info about the wildlife. He even came and got us one evening when he discovered a koala in a tree by our house! They are located in the neighbouring house so very handy if there is anything you need during your stay (including a cup of flour, thanks Janette!) The third bedroom in this place is set up with two twin beds and a bunk bed so one couple was in twins but no complaints. The beds were all comfortable. Ideally this place would be perfect for two families of four. We were aware of the bed confirguration prior to our arrival as they have a very accurate description of the holiday home on their web-site. The holiday home is located at Emu Bay which does not have a general store of any kind nor any restaurants. This adds to the serenity of "Searenity". However, it is only a 15 min drive to Kingscote which has all you would need. I would not hesitate to recommend Searenity to others, we enjoyed our stay immensly. Thank you Herb and Janette!

We had a great stay at Searenity.We were two couples and stayed two nights. Not long enough as we felt a day just relaxing in those lovley soft leather chairs looking seawards was needed. Searenity is very well named. Lots of sea and peace and quiet. The facilities were absolutely top standard with our every need and comfort thought about and provided. Our hosts were warm, friendly and made sure we were settled and happy.

A fully equipped modern house situated in a peaceful location with magnificent ocean views, is well situated to explore the island, Hosts were very friendly and helpful we had an excellent holiday.Everything you could think of is included in the house.
