Comfortable beds and lots of space. Wrap around porches were excellent and relaxing - nothing like reading a book, sipping a cocktail and listening to the waves crash onto Kiawah's shore!

The location of the house is fantastic with its proximity to the beach. The layout of the house is great for families. The maintenance and condition of the house and furnishings. were disappointing and certainly not up to the expectations of a house of that value in Kiawah. The upholstery on the dining room chairs and upholstered chairs was dirty. We felt as if we should put a towel down on the dining chairs before we sat on them. The pads on the outdoor dining chairs were filthy as well. We just took them off when we sat in them. The washing machine was full of mildew. The kitchen sink was dirty and had mildew as well. The trash cabinet would not close (it completely broke and they came to fix it but it still would not go in) so we left it open throughout the stay. The kitchen was poorly furnished. We found one pot holder, no dish towels, limited sizes of pots and pans, no baking sheets and chipped coffee mugs. The upstairs king mattress needed to be replaced (dented in the middle.) There was only room for one car in the garage since the owners keep one there. There was a lot of junk in the garage that other renters must have left. There were outdoor pots on the porches/decks but they were empty or the plants were neglected. The house needs a good pressure washing. We had a wonderful stay in Kiawah in spite of the shortcomings of the house.

The baseboards,corners of ceilings need to be cleaned and free of dirt, dust and cob webs. Some of the living area furniture could be cleaned or upholstered. Other than those few cosmetic touch ups the stay was well enjoyed by all. I will definitely use Akers Ellis again for my future vacation needs. House was clean and kitchen was stocked. There were pool and beach toys, boogie boards which was a bonus. Easy walk to beach and pool was a necessity since it was so hot. Cons: house is very warn. Lots of stains on couches, chairs, bedspreads, carpets. Mattresses need to be replaced.

Notable features of the home which enhanced our stay: the beds and bedding were all very comfortable; the dining table was spacious enough for us to all gather around it with a few chairs we brought in from adjoining rooms; the sofas and chairs in the great room were comfortable for long group chats in the evenings; the kitchen was well equipped to allow us to cook and serve meals which we really enjoyed; all the separate bathrooms were spacious and clean; the house was well maintained and everything worked properly; the decor was nice and updated and thoughtful in the way it was arranged throughout the home; the management company was prompt in their response to one small issue we encountered; the location was excellent, right beside a path leading to a quick walk to the beach over a charming boardwalk.

One of our favorite rentals on Kiawah! Spacious, clean, well-equipped, pool, "guest" house, grill outside, gourmet kitchen, comfortable bedding and high quality furniture.... literally can't think of a complaint! Owners did a wonderful job transforming this house into a comfortable home.

Reviewer Comments: We have rented large houses on Kiawah for the past several years and though this house was clean, comfortable and well situated, it didn't provide us with the amenities we are accustomed to when we rent a home for 10 people. With a large family, we cook a loot and the kitchen was lacking large pots, pants and various containers to make this work efficiently for so many people. The pots were WAY to small to cook for a large group! there was also only 2 dishtowels available to dry the dishes and that was largely insufficient. The chairs around the main dining room table were uncomfortable and the lack of a well situated outdoor shower/ rinsing area made it impossible not to bring sand back in the home and in the pool. Finally, the air conditioning units located on the side of the garage made for a very noisy sleep ( or should I say lack off) on the detached bedroom, above the garage Other than that, the house was fine & comfortable. I am sure the next large family of renters will appreciate you taking care of these issues. Best Regards
