If you are tall you will need to duck in places inside the house. The restriction on number of guests is a bit of a burden.

It's a river cabin. The grounds, view and access to the river is hard to beat. It's a peaceful place off season.

Our stay was great. It’s conveniently placed 5 minutes from a tubing outfitter with shuttles and a place to eat. Every morning we enjoyed our breakfast on the patio watching hummingbirds, deer, ducks, and geese right there in the backyard. John is a very respectable host and an all around good person. Our group has already said if we come back, this is the place.

The inside of the house and rooms was smaller than what we thought before we arrived, but there was still plenty of room for us to enjoy our trip. The area was beautiful and the view was great. The owner was very helpful and did ensure that our trip was worry free and fun.

Couldn’t have asked for a better time. Perfect location. Got a little lucky with water being let in to help with the float. John was helpful with every need. We will be back for sure

Came out to float the river and spent most of our time just chilling at this beautiful spot. We saw tons of wildlife and it was a nice quiet location away from the parties enough to enjoy it. The host was awesome and super accommodating. We will definitely stay here again next year.

The location is great. The house had everything we needed. Great deck for evening gatherings. Great back yard. John, the host, was great. Met us when we arrived to explain a few things about the house. We had a great time.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this cozy littler river house. The location was absolutely perfect! Upon arrival we were greeted by John who made sure to get us settled in and tell us all we needed to know about the house and the surrounding areas. Within an hour, we had our stuff unpacked and were hopping in the river on our floats to start a much needed weekend of relaxation. Thank goodness the neighborhood pet Goose…..my husband called him a Goose-ster….Barney was there to honk us awake like a rooster right after the sunrise to get our day started! He was adorable! We hit the river after breakfast and stayed in it all day. We barbecued at night for dinner and then enjoyed S’mores at the fire pit. We will definitely be back!!

John was very hands on with our rental experience. He even provided a small fishing pole for my 6 yo. Water was shallow enough for my 6 yo to wade through the water waist deep we enjoyed our stay He lives next door, so if you are trying to get rowdy, this is not the place for you

This is our second trip, to celebrate our anniversary. As always, the accommodations are clean and comfortable. The draw for us is the river and the beautiful, natural setting. The second day we were enjoying it so much, we couldn’t stand the idea of not sharing the experience with our 3yo grandson. They came for the afternoon to enjoy the great outdoors! The water level was perfect for him to “swim like a fish” right in front of the cabin. His mom and grandmother (me😉) floated on tubes while his Poppie “watched over” him. Of course Barney (the Goose of the Guadalupe) wasn’t going to miss out on the fun. He joined me on my tube! Our grandson was VERY disappointed to not spend the night on the bunk beds upstairs. There is a fire pit for nighttime relaxation watching the fireflies. Our last morning, we made it a point to watch the sunrise. We watched deer, ducks, otters, and Barney begin their day in the calm of the morning. I feel completely rejuvenated! We can’t wait to return next year...if we can wait that long!

Lovely location for a riverside vacation. Easy access to all the fun spots without the noise of crowds. Beautiful spot for floating or just sitting to watch the wildlife and lighting bugs! House is very clean and comfortable enough to accommodate 6 adults. The owner was very helpful and responsive to all communication. We had a wonderful time!

My husband and I took our son, his girlfriend, his best friends and our nephew, all ages 18-20, to the river to say farewell to the summer before they all went back to college. We had a fabulous time!! John was a FABULOUS host, he gave us plenty of river and local area restaurant information prior to check-in and made himself available for any questions throughout the stay. The house was cute and the deck looking over the back yard with river access was spectacular! Would definitely visit this property again.
