Most welcoming host we have ever had - could not have been more helpful. The property is beautifully finished and fantastically located in the heart of the old city. Exceptional classic French breakfast on a charming little roof terrace.

Noise (cafe DJ) from the market square outside until 10pm or so was a bit intrusive.

Wonderful experience with the team they really elevated the whole experience of the stay. Rooms were lovely and location was amazing. Can't wait to return to Bordeaux and stay again!

We had the great stay at Maison Fernand. The room was beautifully designed, and you could tell that every element had been carefully thought out. The delicious breakfast they served each morning was a true treat. The recommendations of restaurants and attractions were spot-on and truly enhanced our experience in the city. I highly recommend Maison Fernand to anyone visiting Bordeaux. It's a great place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, thanks to the attentive owner and their dedication to making guests feel at home.

I can't speak highly enough about our stay at Maison Fernand. Ahmed and his wife (the owners) run this gorgeous B&B like a 6 star hotel and with so much passion and dedication to their guests. Ahmed engaged with us from the moment we arrived and assisted us with great local knowledge including places to eat and suggestions of what to do in Bordeaux. This B&B was renovated painstakingly by themselves and shows a level of sophistication and elegance in the design choices they made for each space. There has been so much thought put into every single little detail - and it is those little things which makes this an absolute gem of a place to stay! From the amazing breakfast on the balcony, to the small gift parcels of cannelés left at our door every afternoon, to the set of postcards they have created for guests ready to post back home while you are away. Stay here - it is truely a wonderful experience!

Our host Ahmed was so welcoming on our arrival that we immediately knew that we would enjoy our stay . Our bed was very comfortable and the room was exceptionally nicely decorated with traditional "bits & bobs!" The location was excellent. Other staff members were extremely helpful also with very good English . Continental breakfast offered plenty of choice & was very good . Merci ! Merci

It's only a personal problem for me as a 72 year old who has had double hip replacements but the stairs were a little steep .

I can't say enough about how wonderful Ahmed was and how accommodating. The room was so well appointed with everything you could need. Great location and great price. Would definitely stay again. We loved Bordeaux.

Great location, easy to get to via public transport and right near plenty of restaurants and shopping. The facilities were clean and aesthetic, and our host was delightful and extremely helpful at arranging restaurant reservations for us.

I loved everything about this place, to start with the very warm and welcoming Ahmed made us feel like we were home instantly. He is very passionate and his communication was 100%.The building is beautiful and full of little details, right in the centre of Bordeaux. Ahmed provided us with a very useful guide and go to places. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Also, brought a little plant from the indoor garden as I gift :) Will definitely go back.

The hosts were so warm and welcoming. Loved the modern bohemian chic decor, the thoughtful touches, the bathroom, the terrace, the breakfast in our room, the balcony, the communal kitchen and the overall vibe simply cannot be beat!

Bed could have been bigger for the size of the room and it wasn’t the most comfortable.

Great and cozy B&B full of details that will make you feel at home. All the decoration has been chosen with great taste and care, so you won't miss anything at all from a traditional hotel. At the breakfast you'll be able to try one of the most yummy pastries that I've never had, with a very good fresh coffe. The hotel is located just in the middle of the town with plenty of restaurants and bar just around the corner and with a walkable distance from the main spots of te city. And last but not least, Ahmed is the perfect host, he'll help you out with many recommendation and will even book restaurants to make sure you have a great experience.

Nothing at all

The owners were very attentive, they even prepared a full vegan breakfast for us which was amazing. the location is very central for exploring Bordeaux, but not too noisy overnight for sleeping. The room was modern and spacious and the view overlooked a large square.

The only thing that I would prefer is proper curtains that cover the whole window, as I like to sleep in complete darkness. The curtains did not fully cover the windows so there was lots of natural light and street lights coming through the window making it a bit light in the room.

Ahmed and Cloe made us very welcome and we had a very enjoyable stay over Christmas in lovely Bordeaux. The lovely breakfast was, by choice, taken in the kitchen so we were able to meet the others staying there. Ahmed was at pains to avoid my wife's food allergies and she was able to enjoy the meal as much as the rest of us.

The hotel is impeccably setup from decor to comfort to practical living. I have travelled for 20 years and I cant say anything compares to this touch of elegance. The hosts are more than superb They find you restaurants, they go out of their way to make you comfortable. They deliver you sweets and cakes to your room. It is the biggest room in Bordeaux and Paris you will ever find. Breakfast is outstanding. You would swear guy you were eating out of a French bakery. You even feel like staying in the room longer than you need too. Simply amazing
