The house had amble space and everything you’d need. The host (Carla) was quick to answer my questions no matter how simple they were. We loved the location in the middle of wine country and we were close enough to go hiking at Perdinales Falls Stare park and go to Luckenbach for a night out! The house is cozy and beds nice and comfortable! We even grilled our dinner one night!

We liked the spaciousness of the home with several eating spots, including breakfast! Most liked the Guard Cat! Really thought the home would be in the middle of acreage! Very comfortable bed we choose, the one room without squeaky floors.

The photos in the listing do not do this place justice! It’s such a cute house with a lot of thoughtful amenities. We travelled with our one year old and two dogs. The space was excellent and had plenty of room for us. We easily could’ve had more people with us. The back yard was fenced in, which was great for the dogs. The breakfast supplies in the fridge were a God send! We got in later and no where was open for us to get stuff for the kid for the AM, so the eggs, sausage, bagels, and English muffins were perfect! It’s just a short drive to Garrison Brothers, Altstadt, and several wineries. We would definitely stay here again!

Convenient to Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock, nice, clean home with large yard, large kitchen. Would have been nice to have pots that were newer, as the teflon was peeling. Some old-style bedroom doorknobs came off sometimes. Also, recommend to owner to check washcloth supply/location. Overall, we had a lovely stay there.

Although some of the decor might not be all that modern, do not let that deter you from staying here.
Location was great, and the host made sure we were taken care off for the entire weekend. We were not able to take advantage of the fire pit due to rain but we were so grateful for the s’mores components and all the extra breakfast items.
Also, beds were nice and comfy too.
We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

It’s a gem!
Due to an unexpected accident on the day of arrival, we did not get to enjoy this lovely house. Who needs Fredericksburg when you can stay here. The HOST took care of all our needs. Totally loved that breakfast, snacks, and other goodies were provided for our family. Will definitely stay here again. You’ve d gotta stay in this gem.

Perfect weekend getaway!
Great house in a great location. We had three couples who were all really comfortable in our own bedrooms. It was a quick drive to wineries and restaurants right off 290. We enjoyed the neighbors’ friendly cat who came to greet us a few times!

Perfect Getaway
We loved our stay in this little cozy cottage home. It was clean and we loved that they provided breakfast and s’mores supplies for us. We will definitely stay again and totally recommend for your next stay in Stonewall/Fredericksburg.

Comfortable and Cozy
It was the perfect location between Johnson and Fredericksburg. The house was nice and there were ample choices in the fridge for breakfast. We enjoyed the fire pit along with S’mores-ingredients provided in the cabinet. Thanks for the wonderful time. We look forward to staying again in the future

Lovely Girls’ Getaway!
We had a lovely visit in Stonewall, popping in to a few wineries and returning to our adorable cottage for our evening meal, more wine and girl time around the fire pit and playing hilarious board games around the breakfast table and in the sitting room. We used every corner of the house and it was all very well-appointed, right down to the breakfast treat and s’mores fixings. Our host was terrific, responded right away to the few questions I had about the property prior to our arrival. We would definitely come to stay here again.

Hidden gem
I hate to share how wonderful this place was in fear it will never be available again. Perfect location to the best wineries, the room set ups left plenty of room for privacy, the beds were comfortable and the entire place was very, very clean. I will never book in Fredericksburg again.

Cute, Historical, cozy home close to The Preserve, Fredricksberg and Johnson City. We enjoyed the Fire Pit and porch in the mornings and evenings and the neighborhood cat OTIS who welcomed us and stayed with us throughout the stay... The host had breakfast and milk in the frig which was nice! Fun memories!

First time in Stonewall for the jamboree
We had a group of 6 staying the weekend for the peach jamboree. Check in was simple and the house was exactly as described. Location was perfect and we had a great weekend. We would definitely go back.

This place is phenomenal if you are looking for a Texas Hill Country getaway. Read the other reviews and know them to be true! By far the best experience o have had on VRBO amd I haven’t had a bad experience. It was just perfect for the Cake to the stocked goodies to the Cat that thinks it’s a dog. We will be back to Stonewall! Thanks Carla!

Wonderful Stay
A truly wonderful place. The home is within 15 minutes or less from Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, LBJ Ranch and Johnson City.
The house was supplied with everything you need, even a small first aid kit in the bathroom. And.... a homemade truly delicious coffee cake. Not only was the cake ready to eat, the fridge was stocked with sausage, eggs, bagels, cream cheese, butter, orange juice and English muffins. There was even fresh fruit, snacks, coffee, milk. .....and all the fixings to make smores on the outside fire pit.
We enjoyed our very relaxing stay and highly recommend this lovely unique place.

Close to a ton of vineyards, WildSeed Farms, and LBJ Ranch. Short drive into Fredericksburg. Quiet location with large backyard. Owner stocked lots of breakfast items and a yummy lemon Bundt cake!

Perfect Place for Visiting State Parks
We were very pleasantly surprised by the abundance of breakfast ingredients and items waiting for us when we arrived. Perfect location to visit the state parks and then come back to relax. A very friendly neighbor cat come greet us everyday when we arrive to the house. Love it!!!

Just what we needed!
Initially skeptical of the location, this property was perfect for us. We visited 5 state parks in 4 days! It was lovely to be able to return to a very comfortable and clean house, shower (great shower), make dinner, and walk down to the river to watch the sunset. It was a great sized house for our family of four (2 teen boys). We have to have a kitchen when we travel due to food allergies, so the only thing I would improve (which most people wouldn’t notice), better chef knives, and maybe upgrade the pots and pans.
Overall we loved our “coronacation!”

Great Hill Country House
Our family of five really enjoyed our stay. We chose this house because of the proximity to several state parks including Enchanted Rock, LBJ, and Blanco. The house was perfect for our family and we had a good time on the porch. The breakfast ingredients, homemade cake, and s'mores ingredients were a hit. Thank you!

Relaxing!
We chose this location so our family could have a small vacation while social distancing. The house was beautiful and extremely clean. My kids were thrilled by the breakfast items and snacks provided. They exclaimed “how did she know what we like?!” when they walked into the kitchen. House was everything we expected, nice, clean, and the middle of a lot of attractions. Breakfast was provided which was awesome, and very peaceful. Will rent again in the future.

Wonderful Stay
As others have said, the breakfast items provided by the home owner are just amazing and totally give this property a truly at home feeling. The fridge was stocked with eggs, sausage, bagels, English muffins, milk, juice, etc. Also fresh chocolate muffins and coffee available. This property was comfortable and well appointed and a short 15-20 min from Fredericksburg. If your in the area, check it out.

Girls Trip
We have stayed in Fredericksburg several times, and this was our favorite house. It was clean and had everything we needed, plus some surprises! Yummy brownies, pastries and a stocked fridge with breakfast. We all enjoyed staying here, and would definitely stay again. Thank you Carla!
