This is a very quiet place to stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the sleeping area has all kind of blankets and throws available. It has a pleasant view out the large window in the sleeping area and is so close to a really good coffee place and restaurants. The walk to the car on Armstrong Woods Rd. was easy, but it would have been better to load and unload the car nearer to the cottage, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me. The dog and I did morning walks which were very pleasant.

Quaint and simple little cabin in a great location amongst the trees. Walkable to all that downtown Guerneville has to offer, and just a short drive up the road to the redwoods at Armstrong Woods!

Amazing location, very walkable to town. Quiet and quaint. However, bathroom door was completely broken and cabinets in general could use some work. But rustic & charming is what I expected.

A nice cabin close to Main Street. There is no no place to park your car.

Do not stay here unless you enjoy an unsealed room that has between 10-15 spiders on the walls at all times (one was even over 1.5 inches long) smells like must so strongly that it may be actual mold, you like hair including some that look like they pub*s all over white sheets, wool blankets (as in they can't be cleaned fully without being dry cleaned) as warmth and 2 out of 3 beds with mattresses that are probably at best from the 1980s. I contacted Vacasa and asked them to have the room re-cleaned. Talking to Vacasa customer support is clearly talking to an AI. I messaged about the musty smell, they asked for a photo for their documentation. Eventually I was able to get them to say they would send someone. This was around 5 pm on Friday. A person came sometime Saturday evening. They made the beds, but it isn't clear the sheets were changed (still lots of visible hair) and there were actually more spiders in the room than when we had left a few hours before. Just don't say here. And don't trust Vacasa to actually handle issues as the renter.

Small old cottage with crooked sloping floors with a tiny bathroom (*a large person could not sit or fit on toilet) within walking distance to Main Street drag in Guerneville CA. Great to be able to walk to everything nearby but small wall heaters (in each room) are LOUD and sloping floors are not level.

The house is a two minute walk from all the restaurants and bars in Guerneville. It is the perfect location.

Lovely little cottage. Super close to everything and lots of enjoyable spaces to hang. Just note that you can't park right in front, but street parking on the main street was easy to find. Also, the second bedroom is accessed by going outside and downstairs so don't miss that note on the description. Worked great for kids having a separate space to sleep. Would definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay here... i took a star off because it really stunk like cigarettes... and for non smokers that is really irritating... other than that it was as described. the house is very small, but perfect for 2 people... more could be downstairs, but would be hard to share a bathroom and the living space with any more than 2.... very close to downtown.... nice to walk everywhere... this house is very close to the main road, but the numbers are wacky... i waited until we were in Guernville to put the address into google maps - my mistake - no service for ATT in Guernville... so we got lost and it was a little frustrating as you can not see the address on the house from the street... my fault but just beware if you have ATT - the wifi at the house worked great once we were there :)

Location is amazing as you can walk to pretty much anywhere. As stated in other reviews, you can't park at the property, but there is plenty of parking on fourth street. If you have difficulty walking, this is not the place for you. The place is small but perfect for a solo or a couple. It was clean, plenty of towels and nice back deck/table area.

Short walk to shops and river. Yard not great for a dog, had to shore up some fence areas to keep him in the yard that has grown up some since photos were taken. Dog got two foxtails stuck in his eye that required a late night visit to the emergency vet in Santa Rosa for removal.

Great house for a week of remote work away from home. Clean, comfortable bed, a minute’s walk into Guerneville, and blackberries everywhere! The only downside is that one of the neighbors was kind of crazy (shouting at passing cars, etc). But wouldn’t stop me from staying again.

Perfect for two!

This listing has several things going for it, the small house could have great charm, especially with those mid-century modern pieces, but if I had to summarize this listing I’d say this: it lacks effort. The stay for 4 nights is a little over $1000, and 99% of the other vacation rentals make an effort for that. The bed has a futon mattress, like in college. The house has two light fixtures, each with three sconces, only one lightbulb working in each fixture, two sconces didn’t even have lightbulbs so it’s not like nobody knew. There’s no lightbulb in the downstairs security light either; problematic for those who need to go upstairs for the bathroom at night. The house is right there in wine country and there are no wine glasses in the house. There was scant salt and pepper and we had to wash everything we used in the kitchen before using it as it was either dusty or badly washed, not an ideal message to send in the COVID era. As another reviewer remarked, the place is in desperate need of a refresh, yellow paint, rusted kitchen blinds. I booked the house because the response to that comment was that this would happen. Finally, when driving there, keep in mind that Apple Maps does not locate the property at all on the road, so switch to Google maps as it locates the house correctly. If traveling with little kids, please note that they’ll actually have to exit the house to go upstairs to use the bathroom at night.

The property is perfectly situated as it is a short walk from downtown Guerneville but still manages to feel like you are tucked away in the woods. The interior is cozy and a welcoming place to return to after a day along the Russian River or the coast.

The cottage has everything you need to make your stay convenient. It is down the block from the downtown restaurants and coffee shops.

The pictures of the property, especially the exterior look very different from the ones on VRBO. The exterior plants (bamboo) is really encrouching. The studio was in need of a deep cleaning. The small shower had mildew on the floor and the bathroom had cob webs. There was mold on the little kitchen bay window, food splatters on moldings, in between the oven and cabinets and water rings on the window ledge from beer bottles. The location is not tranquil, as described in the description. The road the property is on is noisy, the neighbors are noisy and the road down the street is always busy and loud. We ate out as much as we could, but brought food to cook during our 3 day stay. It just didn't feel like a place we wanted to hang out it, much less cook at. The dead bolt was very difficult to bolt and the front door didn't seem sturdy or really secure. I missed the mention of the futon bed, so that was my fault. But, future renters should know, it is a futon.

Thank you for allowing me to stay in your home. It was very cleaned and well equiped to be a little cottage in the woods. Everything in the description of the cottage was there. It got a little hot up in there this weekend but that's not your fault. HEHE.

It is a very close walk to town. The restaurants and bars are a very short walk from the house.

This cabin is a great get away place!! Very tranquil and quiet environment. Comes with anything you will need in the kitchen & bathroom. Very well stocked and clean. I enjoyed my stay very much and would definitely come back.

The listing did not advertise that no parking is available at the unit. We had to park at the bottom of the hill on a busy road. The posted permit states that the owner must provide off-street parking but none is available. The unit was reasonably clean but the bathroom was dirty. The shower curtain was moldy and the sink was dirty. The garbage was overflowing when we arrived and an animal had torn the garbage apart. Garbage was strewn along the front yard and entrance. We immediately informed the owner and it took over 24-hours before it was cleaned up. The downstairs bedroom had a creepy painting on the wall and the kids wouldn’t sleep down there. The unit is best for maximum 2-people.

The cabin was clean and set up exactly as you'd receive from a hotel. The space was quaint, perfect size for our group, and the decks offered perfect outdoor space. Walkable to downtown Guerneville - we loved it.
