What a delightful find. The Abeling sits above The lake with a fabulous view and lovely flower beds cascading down to the crystal clear water and beach. Kirsty and Gerard have outfitted their lovely home with everything you could think of for a relaxing and/or active water sports vacation. We had a wonderful week with our family and enjoyed all the features of the property: the lake with kayaks, outdoor dining on the patio, lots of games and cooking!

Had a wonderful week vacation at this beautiful lakeside home. Everything was perfect for our family of six and our dog. The home was so comfortable and clean, and the view of the lake is unbelievable. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a long time. We spent our time down at the beach swimming and kayaking during the day and having campfires at night. The Stargazing was incredible! We also took the short drive into Lake George and Saratoga for shopping and dinner, which the kids loved, and we hiked the nearby mountains with our dog as well. He had a great vacation too. It really was the perfect family getaway location for us to simply unplug, and connect as a family. We highly recommended it. The week flew by and we were truly sad to leave. I’m sure we will be back!

We were a family of 3 adults, 2 kids under 10 and a dog. There was ample space for all of us. Having the paddle boards, kayaks, and beach toys available was a highlight for us. Additionally, the small beach was perfect for the kids. It allowed them to be free to explore the water without us feeling stressed about deep water. The location and the decks were great. Just be prepared that there isn’t much close by so grabbing a bite to eat out isn’t an easy option. If you’re looking to primarily stay at the house, BBQ, and enjoy the lake, great place to be. A day trip to Lake George is very doable for more tourist attractions.

The property was more than we could hope for. Incredible views throughout the house. The owners were great communicators and everything was as listed in the ad. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed with our friends for two nights. We were so so happy with our stay, and we will absolutely be back. The house was well stocked, modern, and perfect for a getaway. None of us could think of any negative about our stay. We’ll be taking about this place for a while!

We had a lovely stay at The Abeling. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. This rental is in fantastic shape and had everything we needed and more. The view is incredible and we loved skating on the frozen lake. All in all a great weekend.

We felt at home as soon as we walked in. Very nice, comfortable furniture and linens. So great that linens are provided. Stocked with everything you may need and then some, but not cluttered at all. Very neat, organized, and clean. We had a great stay and enjoyed the quiet time with our kids and grandkids. Gerard and Kirsty were so accommodating. I’d rate this at the top of my list for vacation stays. With the special touches, nice linens, and comfy furniture, it almost felt like we were at a hotel, but with the amazing views and coziness of a waterfront cottage. Perfect!

House was incredibly cozy and comfortable, and had everything you would need. The view was amazing from every room in the house! We ventured to a couple of the local towns but spent majority of time in house and down by water. Was a great mini vacation for our family, would love to come back during summer season.

We stayed at the property for a short while but it was a much needed relaxing time. The property is in a beautiful location on the water's edge. The house and property are well maintained , super peaceful and stocked with everything you could need. So very happy for the opportunity to experience it amongst the beautiful colors of Fall.

There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said by virtually all the reviews of this house. Our family loved it! Our dog Sydney misses the lake so much that she brought her water toy to me a few days after getting home to play. We hope to come back again next year! The house is great with all the amenities and the view of the lake is perfect.

The house was very clean and outfitted nicely with everything we could ask for. The views were spectacular from throughout the house as well as from the large deck. Gerard and Kirsty are wonderful hosts and it was a pleasure to meet them!

Our family loved our time at the Abeling! The property itself is well-stocked with all kitchen essentials, outdoor water toys (kayaks & paddle boards), comfortable beds, towels, etc--you name it, they had it! The view was an absolute joy to wake-up to each day and we collectively agreed that this was the most relaxing vacation we have had in a very long time. Not to mention, we think our 2 dogs had the best vacation of their life! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay! My husband and I and rented the house with another couple (and our dogs) to ring in the new year and it was exactly what we were looking for - clean, comfy, cozy, spacious. The views are absolutely gorgeous of lake even when it was foggy and we really enjoyed taking the dogs on the beach in the morning for a walk. The house came with everything that you could think to need. This was one of the cleanest properties I’ve ever rented, I usually find I always have to do some sort of tidying up or wipe down when I rent a property but not with this place (the inside of the microwave is my ultimate clean test and this house passed with flying colors!) We will definitely stay here again and are even looking to come back in the summertime when we can fully enjoy the lake and all the beautiful surroundings!

House was clean, bright, had everything we needed plus many things we wouldn’t have expected to have such as a full selection of seasonings, condiments, shampoo, lotion, etc. We spent the our entire trip indoor, taking in the views of the lake and mountains. It was truly a winter wonderland experience. Owner was responsive and helpful. We look forward to experiencing the cabin in the summer months as well.
