It wasn't fancy and it was a bit dated, but it was clean and had lots of little amenities like beach chairs and coolers etc that facilitated day trips. Access to Longs drugs and Coconut Marketplace came in handy. The Market, though a bit pricey is well stocked and the delivery, bakery, ice cream and coffee shop could satisfy almost any craving more than adequately.Great central location for exploring the remainder of the island. Pool at facility was ok....bar b que and hot tub in proximity.Perhaps the only downside was the beach which was within walkable distance was not conducive to swimming; narrow, rip tides, large trees washed up etc. , though it was quite a pretty view. The large field in between condos and the beach had been taken over by a combination of impromptu campers and some longer term residents( perhaps homeless) who had enclaves that were often messy and uninviting. These blocked access in many cases and many of these folks were a bit sketchy and really didn't put out a welcoming vibe. They clearly saw this as their turf in spite of signs indicating no camping, it obviously was not being enforced. There were many nice beaches nearby; Lydegate Park is about a 5 minute drive and is really nice. Recommend: Waimea, coffee plantation and Poipu Beach on the east side and Ha ena at the end of the road as well as Annie Beach on the West. Lots of quaint places to visit all over, but also lots of spending touristy shops etc if that's what your looking for. Did a flight around the island which was spectacular and in my mind worth the cost...approximately $ 160/ person.Great island for scenery, vegetation and perusing dream homes.

Likes: Great central location. Walkable to a lot of eateries. Close parking. Unit has a cooler, chairs and other items available to use. Great communication when needed. Easy check in and out process. Dislikes: Shower curtain did not close and water spilled outside the shower. Bathroom did not have extra shower mat. Paying additional cleaning fee however having to make sure you swept prior to check out as well as placing all used towels in bathroom and taking all trash out and dumping in outside trash bin.

This home away from home is located in the perfect spot. Just a couple minute walk to a beautiful beach, sunrise is the best time. 5 minute walk to coconut marketplace. There is a big ABC store for all your needs. This property is located perfect for going north or south. You're right in the middle, limiting your travel time so you can make the most out of your day. The unit is just as pictured. Clean and very comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen, beach towels and cooler. I saw reviews of road noise, but it didn't seem noisy at all with the exception of an occasional siren. I would definitely stay here again!

It is a great location in Kauai; however too close to a main road that is noisy 24/7. The resort is quite old and needs some updating. The oven was not really usable. The bed was uncomfortable and the patio not pleasant. I don't think this was good value for money

The property was great. Parking was always available. We checked in and walked two minutes to a beautiful beach. Right next to the property is a great market with some good eating options and JoJo's Shave Ice, which we got every night. The place was clean. It was really nice having an air conditioning in the living room and the bedroom. They weren't very powerful, but worked well enough to keep the place comfortable. The pull-out bed was easy and sheets and blankets were supplied. One of our favorite amenities was that they supplied a bag and cooler, beach chairs, an umbrella, and beach towels. This is important to us because we can't haul all of that stuff on the plane, and we don't want to buy it just for a few days on the island. Our only complaint was that the beach umbrella was broken, so we couldn't use it. And the unit next to us supplied the renters with boogie boards, which would have been a nice touch. I'd recommend the owners invest in a new umbrella and some boogie boards, as this is one of the things we look for in a rental like this. Overall, the place was great. It's an awesome location that puts you close to Lihue, and at a good halfway point between Princeville and Waimea. Lots of great beaches close by, and good food options. I recommend, and we will probably be back.

The condo was perfect for our family of four. It was convenient near shops, not far from Lihue, and the kids enjoyed the pool and the beach right across the street.

Our first impression of the property was a little disappointing. The property in general seemed run down and our unit was adjacent to the main road going through Kapaa with lots of road noise except late at night. The condo was small but adequate. The lanai was uninviting due mainly to traffic noise. Although the property wasn't beachfront, it was only a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed walking from our condo several times each day.Our unit was very well supplied in terms of kitchen essentials, especially for seasoning, oils etc. as well as plates, pots, and pans. Laundry supplies were more that adequate. Beach essentials were also great: 4 chairs, a beach umbrella, a nice cooler, and many beach towels. We ejoyed the 5 minute walk to the Coconut Marketplace, especially in the evening.

You can tell when people take care of a place. Nice kitchen. Centrally located for food, shopping, and my new favorite beach- Lydgate Beach is a mile south. Well air conditioned. Comfortable bed, good TV selection.

The overall experience was great. Great location, well equipped condo. My only complaint was the musty smell. I assume it was from the A/C units in the condo. Otherwise, nice layout, great bed, big bathroom and the pool and hot tub were perfect. Right across the street was a nice path down to the beach which was perfect for watching the sunrise. Central on the island so getting to activities was great. Close to shopping. We had a great stay and I would definitely stay here again, if we go back to Kauai!

It was a lovely suite/unit, very clean and super quiet! It was also about a 6 minute walk to the beach but the waves were a bit too aggressive to swim, so we drove to much better and more calm beaches which was a 30 minute drive. There was a market within walking distance, and an outlet with clothing stores and restaurants next to the market. We really enjoyed our stay and loved that there was even a Lū'au at the Sheraton which was like a 5 minute walk from us!

The hosts graciously provided so many little extras such as a pantry stocked with all the right cooking equipment, a few spices and basics, pool/beach chairs, umbrellas, ice chest, etc. The furniture and bed were comfortable. We loved our stay here it was super convenient location to see the whole island of Kauai, we could have snacks and cook as we pleased but we didn’t actually use the kitchen. All the amenities we needed were there and it stayed very nice and cool!

The property manager tried to help me get get some kind of refund but the owner wasn’t willing to give us any credit at all. I ended up relocating and had to pay for 3 days at another place as an additional expense. In the end it was a better choice hearing ocean noise versus intense highway noise while I was trying to sleep and have a nice vacation. The unit was clean but old and funky. The place we moved to was much more modern and beautiful. I would not recommend this unit or Plantation Suites because it is too close to the highway and I especially would not stay at G5 being closest to the highway!

I had to remove a star for some slight issues I had with the area around this condo. It is supposedly immediately across the street from a path that leads straight to the beach. You can see it on the map but also there is a photo in the gallery here. The entire street has been boarded up and the area between the building and the beach is overgrown, so beach access is not quite as convenient as it looks. I would have appreciated knowing that ahead of time to better set my expectations, so I assume others would as well. Also, there is a very busy street right behind the unit separated only by a row of bushes and you can hear traffic even while inside with everything closed basically 24/7. Not great for light sleepers like myself, or anyone looking for quiet in their home. Other than that, it's a great and comfortable place and the description is very accurate. The staff is very communicative and even helped me with a lost item, which I very much appreciated.

What a perfect 1-bedroom condo! I was pleasantly surprised by all the extra small appliances and outdoor supplies provided by our hosts! I enjoyed the easy walk down to the beach and the comfort of the pools in the afternoon. Kapa'a had everything we needed for our family vacation! Mahalo!🌺
