Everything was spot on. No complaints about the house at all. Pub on site very nice clean and welcoming. However menu very poor. They should add to it. Both for food and drinks. I also think £9 for a glass of wine is a bit steep!

A lovely clean, dog friendly cottage in a great location. The welcome hamper was very generous and a nice touch. We struggled a bit with a small fridge and no freezer for a family for two weeks but otherwise a really great cottage. Communication prior to the stay was excellent too.

A very well maintained and appointed home-from-home. Good location which has quick access to the beach which is great for our four-legged friends! Some lovely touches include an arrival hamper and a dog box in case you've forgotten any essentials for the most important occupant. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

The house was warm and clean when we arrived and a cot was put out for us with fresh bedding. The location is ideal for for walking on the beach and a little further will take you into Filey for some decent fish and chips. We loved it and would definitely stay again!

This house on The Bay is a perfect holiday home with all that you need. Nice and clean, comfortable and in a good location on the resort. Easy to book and check in and the owners get back to any queries really quickly.

Immaculate and clean on arrival. No negatives at all! Host was fantastic - answers all queries within minutes. Highly recommend and would book again!

Rodger's Retreat was the perfect holiday home - on a quiet road in The Bay resort, with lots of green space around it for toddlers to run around. Lucy provided a fantastic welcome pack and everything in the house was laid out for us (lots of towels, spare sheets etc). We BBQed and sat outside most nights and loved being able to pop down to the cafe to pick up breakfast. The beach is just beautiful and an easy walk or trip on the balance bikes down through The Bay. Everything felt very safe and not too busy (e.g. pool times) and the staff we met at the leisure centre were friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our trip and only regretted we hadn't booked to stay for longer. Thank you Lucy!

Fantastic last minute stay at this lovely property. So clean and well equipped. We travelled with a dog and baby and had a great time.

Rodgers retreat is the perfect home from home, absolutely spotless with everything you could need. we stayed for four nights and couldn't fault a thing. Fantastic little holiday village, and a nice walk to the beach, which is also spotless.

We have stayed in The Bay before at a different property. Around Xmas it is quiet. The beach access and pool complex are great. Lucy's house was spectacularly clean and the welcome hamper was appreciated. On this occasion a major negative was the paint smell in the house. It appears that the internal doors had been painted before out arrival and the acrid smell of oil-based paint dominated the house for our entire stay. We had to sleep with the bedroom external-door ajar to try and reduce the smell but this was only partially effective. It gave us headaches. As a matter of policy, I think the renters should be provided with the key-locker code as soon as they have paid. I had to chase to get the code a few days before we arrived. Until I have the code, it is a constant stressor whether I will get it and having to remember to chase for it. This should never be necessary.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Well equipped with everything and more needed for our stay. Great hostess with good communication. We couldn’t have asked for any more for a weekend away with two dogs.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it definitely won’t be our last. We brought our new baby with us this time and Lucy kindly put a travel cot in our room which made life much easier for us and he was so comfy in it. Thank you for a lovely stay and for all the little extra touches that make us feel so welcome.

As we walked in, there was a welcome basket and a file with activities , menu and places to visit. Beautiful house. Clean and tidy. The beach just on ur dr step, kids loved. Entertainment for kids outstanding. Already looking at for our next holiday. Lucy responded within 24 hrs with anything I wanted ro know before the holiday. Thank you
