The location, cleanliness, surroundings

Needed more toiletries, tiny bag of sugar and a tiny box of salt would have helped.

It was small but perfectly formed, lots of hot water, very clean and in a lovely setting within lots of trees and green fields.

Very little information in the property about the surrounding area and what info there was was a little inaccurate; the local restaurant based at the old school was closed which meant nowhere to eat out in Mount Hawke itself. I understand that the owners had to remove all the info due to covid restrictions, however, we missed this element.

The bungalows were spaced apart so you did not feel you were on top of your neighbours. Each had their own picnic tables tucked away. The owners seemed to have made a lot of effort to ensure privacy. The location was beautiful. Very peaceful. No public through road. Amazing walks. Great for stargazing!

Only 2 towels bath towels between 3 people.

Very quiet at night. Hosts are very friendly. Bungalow is very comfortable.

We loved the property and surroundings. Perfect for our toddler and our dogs. I worked from the location and the internet was sufficient. My little boy made friends with Malou, Gracie and their dog beau on the site. Such lovely children.

It isn’t an dislike as such. A couple of observations would be that the curtains could do with a wash and as it is a dog friendly location it did smell very strong of dog, I’d therefore recommend leaving some air fresheners dotted around to reduce the smell. On the whole we had a great time and will be booking again for next year.

Double mattress was uncomfortable

Clean and tidy when arrived. Self check in, all sent via an email, straight forward instructions so all good. Pleasant little location, looked very nice well kept and tidy a nice place for little ones, sand pit & play area, ( not that we had any!) Took our puppy, nice big field for him to run around in, which he loved. We travelled out each day, visiting local beaches, and a trip to St Ives. Also ate out, each evening a pub around 10/15 minute drive away, couldn't fault it, excellent value, incredible food. (Chaverton Pub)

The bungalow was quite basic, as a party of 4 adults there was only enough room on the sofa for 3, one of us had to either sit on the breakfast stool or on the floor, very uncomfortable. We stayed 3 days, this was an issue in the evenings when we got home to relax for the night, obviously not an issue during the day. A corner sofa would be a suggestion by removing the coffee table in corner of room, not needed! We all slept well though, I would say the double room is very small you wouldn't be able to swing a cat...the twin room was a lot better though! Also, there was no bath mat in the bath/shower, my Dad almost had an accident and slipped over, we ended up using a towel as felt quite slippery without. We took full English breakfast to cook over the weekend, but unfortunately no frying pan...okay as we had a grill but no fried eggs etc ( not a big deal but worth noting! )

Great place to get away from all the noice in the city. • The location, it’s close enough to all the major sightseeing places in Cornwall. • The beds are soooo comfy! • The little heaters are definitely a nice touch, especially with the weather we had. • All you need under one roof! • The pictures on the website don’t do it justice. We stayed in chalet 6 and it’s a lovely retreat from the ‘real’ world.

• It needs some lights in the car park, it’s way too dark when you come back in the evening. It could also do with some lights next to the paths towards the chalets. • An extra shelf in the bathroom would be nice to put your toiletries on.

The place was central too all the parts of Cornwall we wanted to visit.No problems with the property in any way.

The location was ideal, everything was spotlessly clean, great shower and a comfortable bed.

A lovely small holiday site. The bungalows were excellent value, with everything required for a week's stay. Good location, close enough to venture to a range of fabulous beaches.

Quiet location with lots of space for kids to play. Nice playground and beautiful countryside views. Comfy beds.
