This is a great villa for family or friends pleanty of space and a great pool ,in a quiet location but just a short walk to the village . Sue and martin on hand if you need them . We are returning in September with our family and can’t wait

Very enjoyable stay in Villa Flora.

Very well presented, all you could ask for to have a relaxing and homely stay. The property is very welcoming and well designed to accommodate 8 people. The pool is extremely good and the salt rather than chlorine is much better. You feel you are living within the local community as neighbours go about their daily lives, but it was quiet throughout. Provision of fans for every bedroom was a much needed bonus. The kitchen is well provisioned with washer, dishwasher cooker etc and the appliances all appeared new or nearly new. Extra bedding, towels and especially pool/beach towels provision was welcomed.

Its a wonderful house, quite spacious with a great and heatable pool. We enjoyed the cleanness, the fully equipped kitchen and the various places to sit outside like on the patio in front of the entrance, at the back of the house which is the best place to enjoy sunset or to barbecue, or on the first floor outside the master bedroom overviewing old volcano cones. Dishwasher and washing machine made the vacation easier. During the 2 weeks end of January we spent there, temperatures dropped at night to about 13°C, which resulted in indoor temperatures of about 19°C. Because Spanish houses in the south have rarely heating systems, the owner offered us an electric heater. What else is newsworthy ? Apparently the stove had been cleaned so vigorously that the signs of the switches were wiped off. The nice fireplace in the living room has a sign that it is a forgery. The finca is located in the village Lajares, in the northern part of the isle, and is surrounded by a neighborhood with similar houses. A supermarket and nice mid-level restaurants are in the vincinity. By car, which is a necessity, the dunes and beaches of Corralejo and beaches elsewhere are in a 20-30 minutes drive range. If one likes to get rid of some calories from the breakfast, a hike to the near by Calderon Hondo is a nice experience. The owner lives in walking distance. He was very helpful and questions were answered instantaneously. All-in-all the finca is a clear recommendation and gets a definite thumb up !

Grundsätzlich ist das ein schönes und vorallem ein sehr großes Haus. Die Vermieter eine Strasse weiter sind sehr nett und Hilfsbereit. Leider sind ausnahmslos alle Sitzmöbel, vom Sessel über die Stühle bis zu den Liegen extrem unbequem. Und die Armeisen sind eine echte Plage, in allen Schränken, sogar bis in die Dusche ... Das Haus ist bis zu neun Leuten belegbar, leider gibt es nur für fünf ausreichend Geschirr.

Villa Flores is a really lovely property to relax in, well laid-out, ensuring that guests have their own space, not feeling cramped. The kitchen has everything you need. The BBQ on the rear terrace is great! Lazing around the pool, followed by lunch on the under-cover terrace is how we spent the early afternoons. Later on, the rear terrace was the ideal place for sundowners with the most spectacular sunsets. Upstairs is a spacious bedroom with terrace, and the large bathroom has a window showing a fabulous view. It’s only 15 minutes’ drive to a variety of white sandy beaches at El Cotillo. Lajares has a real laid-back, surfer feel to it. There are some great places to have a range of meals; breakfast is good at los Pirates, which also serves great steaks and barbecued chicken. A favourite was Rojo Tomate, very rustic traditional Italian feel and the food was amazing and well-priced. The French bakery is really good for fresh baguettes and pastries. Sue and Martin couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. They are very welcoming hosts. We will be back for sure.

Lovely, cosy villa that we felt so at home in. We were a group of 3 adults and 3 teenagers and had loads of space in a good location and Sue and Martin could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely be returning!

Mooie villa, goed onderhouden, tuin met grote variatie aan cactussen, verschillende terrassen voor ieder moment van de dag in de zon of schaduw, lekker zwembad, binnen gezellige living, grote eetkeuken, mooie slaapkamers en veel badkamers, kortom een aanrader!

Die Villa ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es fehlt nichts. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und mit 2 Terrassen und einem Balkon gibt es auch für 6 Erwachsene genug Platz. Der Garten ist liebevoll gestaltet. Die Vermieter wohnen 100m entfernt und waren bei Problemen sofort zur Stelle. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Wir haben mit 2 Erwachsenen und 3 Kindern 1 Woche in den Herbstferien in diesem schönen Haus verbracht. Von Anfang an fiel die angenehme Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter Martin auf. Er war jederzeit für Fragen erreichbar und hat diese schnell beantwortet. Auch vor Ort waren die Ansprechpartner sehr freundlich und jederzeit erreichbar. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir am Haus persönlich begrüßt. Das Haus ist sauber und gepflegt. Es verfügt über vier Schlafzimmer. Zwei davon mit jeweils einem En-Suite-Badezimmer und die beiden weiteren mit einem gemeinsamen Badezimmer. Die beiden großen Schlafzimmer sind mit Doppelbetten und einer großen Bettdecke ausgestattet. Die Matratzen waren von sehr guter Qualität. Im Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss ist zudem ein weiteres Einzelbett vorhanden. Zu diesem Zimmer gehört ein kleiner Balkon (Morgensonne). In den anderen beiden Schlafzimmern sind jeweils zwei Einzelbetten, die entweder zusammen oder getrennt gestellt werden können. Der Wohnraum ist mit zwei gemütlichen Rattansofas, einem Sessel und einem Couchtisch ausgestattet. Es gibt einen Fernseher. Die Küche verfügt über alles, was man braucht (großer Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, Herd, Geschirrspülmaschine, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Mikrowelle). Die Waschmaschine (neu, Siemens) steht in einem Nebenraum. Der Essplatz liegt zwischen Wohnzimmer und offener Küche. Von dort aus ist die kleine Terrasse direkt zu begehen. Die große Terrasse mit Pool und überdachtem Essplatz hat den ganzen Tag Sonne. Sie liegt vor dem Haus. Der Pool ist zum Sichtschutz durch eine Mauer aus Lavasteinen vom auf dem Grundstück liegenden Parkplatz und der sehr wenig befahrenen Straße abgetrennt. Es sind 5 Liegen vorhanden. Der Pool hat mit ca. 4 x 8 m eine gute Größe, ist aber mit 1,20 Tiefe sehr flach. Zudem war er recht kühl - vielleicht hat die Heizung nicht funktioniert. Unser persönliches Highlight des Hauses war die nach Westen ausgerichtete kleine Terrasse. Dort kann man auf gemütlichen Möbeln oder auf der Schaukel sitzend den Sonnenuntergang über der vulkanischen Landschaft genießen. Das Haus liegt am Rand des Ortes Lajares mit vielen Restaurants, einem Supermarkt, einem französischen Bäcker und einer Apotheke. Der Ort ist zu Fuß in ca. 10 Minuten erreichbar. Zu den Dünenstränden bei Corralejo und den kleinen Sandbuchten in El Cotillo fährt man mit dem Auto ca. 15 bzw. 10 Minuten. Haus und Lage sind perfekt für Familien mit Kindern geeignet. Wir können es wärmstens empfehlen.

We stayed at Villa Flora for the first 2 weeks in August - from the moment you arrive you cannot help but be impressed with this villa - the size and location of the villa is something that we never thought we could afford. The owners, Martin and Sue are so lovely and helpful, from staying up late to welcome us due to our delayed flight to even bringing ketchup round when all the other shops in the area were closed ! The villa does not have air conditioning but we knew this beforehand, to be honest, the climate during our stay, we didn't miss the air con as much as we had expected. There are 2 large fans that are sufficient for the downstairs. The large lounge area has 3 windows allowing light in during the day, the kitchen is well equipped with everything that you need including multiple utensils, crockery and glasses - the added extra of the utility room was a bonus that contains ironing board, iron, lots of little home extras such as ice coolers, etc. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs, which are all double and 2 bathrooms, one with a bath but also has a shower over it. This is especially useful for us as we were a party of 4 with 2 teenage girls. The storage in this villa is unbelievable, plenty of wardrobes space, and lots of hangers which made unpacking so much easier. Upstairs there is a completely separate living area, a large double bed and another bathroom including a spa bath. The pool was a great size as there was even room in it with 2 girls, a large blow up Unicorn, Flamingo, Watermelon and Donut!! The water was warm from midday onwards, although it wasn't too cold beforehand. The local area is very village like - there is a SuperDino within 5 min drive that has everything you need. We did travel to the more larger supermarkets in Correlejo to get some more items. Correlejo is only about 15-20 min drive away - where the more tourist shops / restaurants etc are. There is also the water park which is a good day out. All in all we couldn't ask for any more - we will be back in the future.
