A very cosy cottage in the perfect location to explore Hexham and the surrounding areas

Fantastic location on a park. Loved seeing families walking their children to school through the park. We were close enough to the main part of town that we could walk everywhere. Very cozy inside and welcoming.

A wonderful comfortable cottage in a very quiet spot close to the centre of town.

Booking.com's description of the accommodation says an additional bathroom, however there is only a separate toilet.

We enjoyed the high quality of everything in the cottage and the lovely garden, trees and rock wall views. There was a welcome pack which we loved and a bouquet of yellow 💛 roses. It's complicated to find but the detailed instructions got us there flawlessly.

The parking is not convenient but we felt the cottage was worth the trouble.

Everything. The cottage was warm and welcoming and felt like home. The hosts had left a bag of goodies. The towels and linen were of an excellent quality

Trouble with the WiFi

The cottage was beautiful inside and out, excellent location and lovely welcome pack. We were traveling with a new baby so spent evenings in and it was a home from home feel.

only drawback is having to use the park path to unload the car. the instructions and permit for doing this are really helpful and clear but with a lot of baby things and a staircase to go down it wasn’t straightforward. it can’t be helped though!

Beautiful location by the park, and short distance to the centre of Hexham. Lovely cottage, well decorated and very clean. Owners were easy to contact.

An amazing cottage with everything you could need. Beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean. The welcome parcel was a great additional.....allowing for that all important cup of tea on arrival! Hexham is a beautiful little market town with plenty of cafes to grab a coffee in during the day & various places to eat at night. The town is a short stroll through the park at the back of the cottage (10 mins max) & there is a childrens play area located on the park as well. Well worth a visit to the Abbey as well....its stunning! There is a big Tesco in Hexham as well which is easy to get to and you are very close to the train station; we took a train into Newcastle (40 minutes) for the day and the trains run regularly. Would also recommend going to the Beamish Living Museum.

The only slightly downside for us was the parking and not being able to park near the cottage itself. To unload you have to drive through the park, unlock padlocks for barriers etc. This was a bit problematic for us as we arrived in the dark! But it was sorted with a quick call to the owners who helpfully talked us through everything. We found a place to park on Hexham Terrace which was a 2-5 min walk from the cottage. Parking within Hexham is free if you have a pass which the cottage provides, but they are also available in some of the local cafes etc which is good

It was spacious, clean and really well finished. We liked the little added touches, tea, jams, etc, fresh flowers on arrival. It was very family friendly, our children loved the toys! Beds were really comfy and the bed linens and towels were comfortable and ample.

The cottage and location was lovely and the attention to detail outstanding can’t wait to stay here again. Love Hexham and this cottage made it a perfect stay a little gem of a find.

Only thing was no light at the front door as would be good when dark on a night.

Parking could have been better but nothing can be done about that. We always got free parking - was just a bit of a walk with my nearly 80 year old mum.

Our 4th visit to this lovely cottage and it never fails to bring a smile to our faces. Beautiful location, park and pub very close by. Cottage is immaculate, lovely welcome pack, everything you can need.

Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely welcoming pack. Kitchen was very well-equipped. Parking available within a couple of minutes' walk. Easy stroll into town via a large park adjacent to the cottage.

Close to town and a large park

The location is amazing. You can just park the car and forget about it. Walk into town, catch the hop on hop off Hadrian’s Wall bus. The on street parking is literally a 2 min walk. No garden but the park is the biggest garden you could wish for. Sam was so helpful, the cottage spotless and comfortable.
