Excellent food in the evening and very good cooked to order breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. well situated in the centre of Ballater
The double bed was very small. Would go back to this hotel but will order 2 singles. room was small but adequate for one night

The hotel for me was clean, comfortable with very friendly staff and good value food. The location was good central and easy to find. Whilst there was no residents parking there was never a problem finding space close by.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar meals were very good and the location was excellent, with plenty of local shops and cafes.

The welcome and willingness to help me at arrival and departure and my odd working hours helped insure my comfort and maximise the value of my down time. Overal excellent welcome and first class hosting. Very nicely refurbished comfortable and functional wee hotel.
Room ventilation: I couldnt open window for air. Broken I think.
TV is far to small to view enjoyably.

Beautiful building, rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. The town of Ballater is really pretty.

Perfect location to explore the town & surrounding area. Room and bathroom were a good size and definitely met my needs. Staff were very friendly and sociable.

The Alexandra Hotel is a well run hotel, clean rooms, good food and hotel bar and a fantastic Scottish breakfast to start the day.

This Hotel was beautiful, extremely friendly, a great Location and our rooms exceeded our expectations especially for the rate and it ALSO included Breakfast!! The Breakfast Menu has a varied choice of hot meals or snacks, fresh hot beverages and it also had a table which had a choice of cereals, yogurts, fruit juice and more. We also dined here in the evening and the menu was lovely with a varied choice. I'd like to add that as I have had weight loss surgery, they have some options on the menu for half portions :-) I will definitely be back and will certainly be recommending to friends and family.
The only thing I would mention is that when we arrived we stood waiting until we found a bell on the wall...maybe this could be more visible to customers :-)

So welcoming and friendly owners and staff. Very comfortable stay that ticked all the boxes. . Fabulous breakfast and evening meal. Would certainly recommend to others, haste me back
