Well organized vacation rental, homey and comfortable. Lower level is like its own apartment. No beach out the door but nearby (15 min walk or drive). Towns 20-30 minutes away. Shopping 10 minutes. Drinking water from dispenser; former issues with well water solved. Not isolated but quiet; we felt comfortably "alone."

House and property were as advertised. Owner/property manager was wonderful and the property has everything we needed/wanted. Views from the deck are gorgeous and the property is convenient to everything. Would definitely use again.

This home is in a great location for an Olympic Penninsula vacation. The owner communicates well and provides helpful information. The home has all the basic essentials plus more. The neighbors are pleasant. The view is spectacular. During our week we saw eagles, seals, Orcas, and more right from the back deck. Very relaxing week.

The shipping lanes were what drew us to this retreat in Hansville, and they did not disappoint. My husband’s passion is photographing ocean-going vessels, and his days were full watching the paradade of ships pass our deck. There were only two of us, but the house would have easily provided a great vacation for a whole family. Lydia was very responsive and eager to be please while sharing her beautiful haven. She took our suggestions to heart for making her spot as seamless as possible. There is a lot of light coming into the upstairs bedroom in the morning, so late sleepers may want to choose to sleep downstairs. My husband is quite tall, so the short queen bed was uncomfortable for him, but we managed. The gas fireplace kept us cozy during the early summer chills we had when we first arrived. Overall, we had a very pleasant two weeks communing with nature and counting ships. Thanks, Lydia, for sharing your special place with us.

Great beach house getaway for my wife and I for my bday. Host was easy to communicate with and the property was amazing. The sweet neighbor dogs were a great bonus to the amazing view.

This is a wonderful place in a premium location. We were able to spend a few weeks here in the fall of 2021, and it was even better than we hoped. We couldn't stop looking at the extraordinary Puget Sound view from the deck and from the upstairs living and dining room -- the water and sky and mountain views are constantly changing, and all ship, boat, bird, whale, and marine life traffic passes by this bluff. There's a lovely 3/4 mile walk down to the long, beautiful, public beach by Point No Point lighthouse. Inside it is comfortable and homey in any weather, with 2 large living spaces in addition to the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, plus romantic fireplaces, nice furniture, an easy kitchen, and some high quality fixtures and touches. A fancy machine provides great drinking water. Even with the great view of the Sound, the place is extraordinarily private and quiet. Near Hansville on the tip of the Kitsap Peninsula, the home is apart from the hustle and bustle found in many places, yet it is just a 10 or 15 minute drive from groceries and within 25-30 minutes of attractions like picturesque Poulsbo and Port Gamble. We used it as a jumping off point for day trips everywhere from the Olympic Peninsula to the Hood Canal to downtown Seattle. It just felt like home. The host was easy to work with. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

The view is spectacular and ever changing with the shipping lane including the cruise ship we saw on arrival to the leviathan container ships down to amazing sail boats and fishing/crabbing boats. The big surprise was the clouds - at night with the moon and at sunrise like we have never seen before. So peaceful. The accomodations are excellent. Very comfortable. Feels like home. Great job Lydia!!!

Lydia place was perfect for a several days of relaxing with abundant nature all around (e.g., old-growth forest, Puget Sound beaches, bird sanctuary). The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable - and the views! We hope to return.

We stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday as a quick getaway. The home was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The beach is a short walk through woods and allows for long strolls. We saw about 50 seals out in the water, an unexpected treat. It’s also a bird area, so lots of bird watching to be done. The view from the house is expansive and beautiful. We had a couple of small hiccups (mix up with door code and a short power outage) but Lydia was quick to respond and help resolve things. The power outage actually added to the experience - there were plenty of candles and we had a quiet, screen free family evening. It is important to note the well water, but there is plenty of drinking water on hand. Also worth noting, the downstairs shower is wonderful. We had a great visit and would definitely recommend a stay here.

Note there is not a washer and dryer and that was a little inconvenient for us but otherwise it was great. We enjoyed the games and puzzles that were available. Communication with the host was great.

Nearby trails include Point No Point County Park, the Hansville Greenway, and Foulweather Bluff Nature Preserve, all easy and interesting. The little store at Hansville made good sandwiches, and a big Albertson’s a few miles south had everything else we could have wanted. Netflix and Amazon Prime Video provided evening entertainment (no TV). The downstairs family room is heated by a wood stove. Firewood was supplied but we didn’t use it, so that room was cold at night. However, the small adjoining downstairs bedroom was plenty warm with baseboard heating. The gas fireplace, with thermostat, kept the upstairs living area and bedroom comfortably warm. If you rent, double-check with the owner about the code to open the lockbox. We were lucky that a neighbor was home and knew the correct code, instead of the obsolete one we were given. We hope to return to Loki Bluff!

The property, as advertised, was beautiful with a phenomenal view, a beautiful deck to enjoy it, and a gorgeous, comfortable house to relax in. The owner has clearly maintained the property well, and gone to great effort to make sure every convenience is available. Staying there was very relaxing and there are lots of places to see in the area. All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

What a great place to crash and refuel for a few days. The views were awesome and we spent pretty much all the time on the porch. Lydia was super quick in her responses.

The Loki Bluff House is a beautiful, peaceful, spacious home with an absolutely priceless view of the Sound. Hansville is a charming little waterfront town with a delightful shop for picking up a few essentials, and a large grocery store is only ten minutes up the road in Kingston where you can stock up. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful, socially distant, idyllic weekend reading books, playing games, and relaxing on the enormous deck. Highly recommend if you're looking for a safe and comfortable getaway!

We loved our stay at this home overlooking the sound! The views were incredible and the house peaceful and quiet. Evenings on the deck were cool and lent themselves to good conversations while enjoying the boats driving by or the sunset. Birds entertained us while we drank our morning coffee. We just wish our stay could have been longer!!

We both wanted some peace and quiet with a water view. This home delivered that 100%. The location is easy to find and is on a dead end road that has virtually no traffic. The view is from a couple hundred feet above the sound looking east. 180 degree view from south to north. Saw quite a bit of eagle activity in the afternoon/evenings flying up from the sound over the house with a fish in their claws. We took advantage of the supplied games. I managed to win my share of Yahtzee, which I haven't played in decades. Forgot how fun that game is. We walked the trails counter clockwise to the lighthouse, then west and continuing south through the community forest, then back east to home. Was a longer walk than expected. You could easily do an out and back instead. The lighthouse is worth visiting, and when we were there, the fishing boats were crammed close to each other right off the east facing beach competing for the fish. That was quite a sight. Those folks take their fishing very seriously! There is a small grocery store not far up the road, then a full service grocery a little further, should you need anything. The bed in the upstairs bedroom gets 5 stars from both of us. I am always suspicious of how comfortable the bed will be. This one was very comfortable. We left the window open all night, yet had zero noise as there is no traffic or pedestrians, as previously mentioned. You can get a really nice breeze through the house via the windows. We wanted a comfortable, quiet place with a view, and this home turned out to be just right. Good times.

Stayed at the Loki Bluff House with some friends for some fishing at the nearby beach park. The house was awesome, exactly as advertised. A bit out of the way, but that’s the price for amazing views! Lydia was fantastic, great communication. She contacted us ahead of our stay about some plumbing work being done, and gave us plenty of water to keep us hydrated during our stay. Looking forward to future trips, this is a great getaway!

My family of 4 stayed for 3 nights in July. The views are amazing, spending time on the deck in the morning with my coffee watching the boats and seaplanes go by was spectacular. So quiet and relaxing on the deck and the house is very clean and spacious. However there was a big drawback that we weren't aware of until just before our arrival date which is the water. The water has a ton of minerals (iron?) in it which makes it undrinkable so you have to use bottled water. The owner provided a starting supply which was very appreciated. However, I really feel the owner should address the water issue and fix the problem or make it known on the listing description. It's not just remembering to use the bottled water when making your coffee or getting a drink, there is a significant unpleasant smell when taking a shower. And similar to how the minerals in the water have turned the bathtub and dishwasher a orange/rust color, after 3 days of showering & washing hands in this water I noticed my skin/nails had turned a slight orange color as well. :-( For one or two nights no biggie, but be aware if you plan to stay longer. Also there is a neighboring rooster that starts making noise not only at the crack of dawn but all morning long...keep the windows in the bedroom shut. The owner is super nice & attentive so I feel bad complaining but I just think the water issue is significant enough to mention. Sorry!
