The apartment was just right for our family of five. We all had space to sleep, hang out, and eat together. Daisy was awesome, educational, FLEXIBLE, friendly and fun!! We learned so much from her, it was like walking around with a history and culture book. We were so impressed with how she adapted to our family's rhythm. We also appreciated all the spontaneous times she and Zho stopped the van and let us out on the side of the road because we just HAD to see something! THANK YOU!!!

We are so thankful to have connected with Daisy to help us plan our visit to Guilin. From the moment we were in contact, she did everything possible to meet our needs as a family and even accommodated our itinerary to stay within our budget. Our flight was cancelled twice, and Daisy went above and beyond to help us get to Guilin. Once we were in Guilin, we had the privilege to spend 3 travel days with Daisy, as she brought us to the Longhi Rice Paddy Fields, set up a Li River Cruise, brought us up Mount Yao, and guided us through Seven Star Park, among other things. She is a wealth of information, and she was great with our 3 kids (9,11, and 13). The accommodations in the Penthouse are excellent. The beds are very comfortable, which is rare for China. All necessary amenities are in the kitchen. The central heating unit in the main room kept the temperature comfortable for our family, and we were there in late December. If you want to visit Guilin and get the local perspective, I highly recommend that you stay here and ask Daisy to be your travel guide. She's wonderful!

On a busy, bustling day in Guilin, Daisy Chan greeted us on the opposite side of a street that was torn apart, and scraped bare due to construction. Daisy was warm and hospitable, helping us with our suitcases as she directed us to the apartment. The apartment was as promised, roomy and spacey, clean and adequately furnished, with an elevator that drops you right at the apartment door. Hopefully when you choose to rent this apartment, the construction and renovation of this part of Guilin will be completed. There is a brand new mall opening a short bus ride away from Daisy’s apartment featuring a large modern super market fully equipped for shopping needs. Our experience with Daisy was more than exceptional. She was extremely helpful and always answered her phone and our questions. A word of caution however, the heating system of the apartment is not equitable to most western standards. Unfortunately, we chose December to visit Guilin and coming from New England, were not use to the ‘spotty-heating’ systems used in China. There are wall space heaters with fans, BUT, if you are used to Western central radiant heat systems' as we were, you may find the apartment to have areas that are cold. All in all, the apartment in warmer weather, should be comfortable and pleasant. Also, do take Daisy’s guided tour on the Li River. She is an exceptional host and experienced tour guide. Because it was just the two of us we had an intimate tour with the best of Daisy's 16yrs experience in the travel industry. Our weather was very wet in beautiful Guilin, but Daisy was able to make the best of it changing plans so we could experience the most on our visit. The Penthouse was more then ample for us! With all the comforts of home we were even able to do some laundry. We especially enjoyed meeting your student's from your English class!! This vacation rental has everything you'll need for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. Daisy has been in the tourism sector for 15 years in Guilin and knows the ropes. Not only does she rent this wonderful holiday home, she also offers informative, safe and value added tours of the surrounding area. Daisy will give you an honest price and work hard to make sure your trip is everything you want it to be. Her rental is located on the top floor of an apartment/condo building and its two stories. There is plenty of room for large groups or big families which is HARD to find anywhere in China. The price is unbeatable since you aren't forced to rent 2 hotel rooms to fit your family. The rough and jagged mountains that make Guilin famous are visible from all the balconies of Daisy's place. She makes a great breakfast - which even my picky little eaters were happy with. We hired her for 4 days of touring and it was wonderful to be able to custom pick the places we wanted to go and things we wanted to do rather than join a large group. I was very impressed with the van driver Daisy choose for us. He was such a safe driver and I felt confident that he could manage the long drives on sometimes a little scary roads. She gave us great restaurant advice and made sure we were able to get where we wanted to go. A taxi ride to downtown from Daisy's place is a little far but just a couple bucks. I would highly highly recommend Daisy's rental to anyone going to Guilin. Also - if her place is already rented - contact her for tours. She's probably the most honest tour guide out there.
