Very clean plenty of room highly recommended a+++±

Very quaint and clean property. We rented it purposely so our dogs could swim in the pond. The ponds were so low though there really wasn’t any fishing to be done but the dogs still loved it. Location was excellent. I wish we would have known ahead of time that there were two loose dogs in the area.. Had to keep an eye on our dogs when they went outside to go potty. The absolute only drawback to the property was the mattress in the main bedroom was not very comfortable! Excellent communication with owners.

Cabin was neat and very clean. Well organized and very well stocked. It was immediately obvious the attention to detail given by the owners. Layout of the cabin was great for 2 adults and 2 pre-teens (bedrooms on opposite ends so we didn't have to listen to video games all night). It's very quiet, peaceful, private, and easily accessible with almost no traffic. The property surrounding the cabin is very well taken care of with plenty for everyone to explore and do.....plenty of wildlife and fish in the ponds. Kentucky lake and great restaurants are within a 10 min. drive. Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is a short scenic drive across the bridge and is a fantastic little day trip. Owners were great and communicated very very well. In short, if your idea of a relaxing getaway is peace and quiet, and you appreciate the charm of a rustic cabin, yet you require cleanliness..........you won't go wrong with this property. We look forward to getting the opportunity to book another stay soon.

Checking in was easy. A phone call and a few instructions was all that was needed. Once we got there things changed quite quickly. The exterior of the property was a mess. The grass hadn't been mowed in some time firepit smoldering with trash and candy wrappers on ground. There were old doughnuts in the yard along with a slew of tomatoes and a pile of an unknow white substance. Also the exterior landscape was very old with faded mulch, weeds in landscape and the place could use a pressure washing and fresh stain if it were to accurately represent the pictures on Vrbo. There is a personal saw mill on the property, which provided three foot slabs of wet firewood which smoldered for several hours. Once inside the residence was clean and pretty nice. My only complaint with the inside was lack of central air. the A/C was a window unit that would freeze you out of the living room, but leave the bed rooms very warm in the night.(Even with the two box fans provided). My biggest complaint is the outdoor amenities. I specifically booked this place due to the "STOCKED" fishing ponds and walking trails. Neither were accurately represented. Both ponds were 6-8 feet low of water and the only fish we caught were 2-3 inch bluegills. The walking trails were rock roads that went between the four houses and into the timber, which showed as a road on my phones map. Very disappointing for my family. The are nice thing in the area, and Land Between the Lakes is very nice, but I would look for other places to stay other that this listing. It was available and fairly cheap, but if I go back I will stay somewhere else.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were looking for get away and relax and we found just that. Easy access, fantastic view of the stars at night. The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed. Our group is already planning on coming back next year if we can.

The cabin was well stocked, neat, and clean. Property around it is well maintained. Owners were super friendly and helpful. 2 ponds on site and the catfish…oh the stories about the one that got away. I would highly recommend to anyone that would like to go. We were made to feel right at home.

We enjoyed our stay, we needed a quiet get away to rest and unplug for a few days. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The fire pit and small yard area were perfect for us and our two small dogs. Restaurants, attractions and stores a short trip away. Vacation description was as described. Thank you!

We traveled from Central Ohio to stay here (8hrs). The cabin was nice. However, for the long hours of travel, the place wasn't worth the trip. The ponds were not as clean as shown in the pictures. Definitely not for swimming. The cabin has a little funny smell, which we figured out was the carpet in the living room. Smelled of urine. We found the creek, which was mostly dried up and not as expected. Across the creek was a field which wasn't mowed very well. It basically boils down to the description of the property making it look and sound better than it actually is.

It was the perfect little hideaway spot for our quick family vacation. Picturesque location and clean accommodations!

Great family time, fishing, walking and just sitting in Peace. Had fireworks on the property, Very pleased! Would come back again!

Everything was amazing, the owners were very helpful and friendly. The cabin was perfect. The location was so serene and tranquil. Perfect getaway for us. We will definitely be returning!

Best mini-vacation EVER! Mr. & Mrs. Anderson went above and beyond to make our stay excellent! The cabin was exactly as described and fit out family perfectly. We are already looking at dates we can return to their property. Highly recommend staying with the Andersons. Please note, this is a CABIN IN THE WOODS...NOT a luxury hotel! If your expectations are the Ritz, this is not the place for you...if you are wanting a good quiet, relaxing place to go, then you are booking the right place!

We rented the cabin for a birthday weekend getaway. We were impressed with how nice the cabin was and the location was great! Close to the activities we had planned, but a nice and quiet setting with no loud neighbors. We really appreciated being able to travel with our dogs and they enjoyed the nature surrounding the cabin. There is a window ac unit in the living room/kitchen, we found it a little stuffy a couple times, but the bedrooms had box fans to help circulate the air. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

My family was able to rent this cabin for a long weekend. This cabin is located about 25 minutes from the closest state parks but that is part of what we enjoyed. The cabin itself had everything we needed and was so clean and new. My teens both appreciated the Wi-fi is which seemed faster than what I have at home. We spent our days hiking and fishing over at the Land Between the Lakes and Paris Landing State Park. Then we enjoyed coming back to this isolated area away from everything. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the fireplace in the mornings while drinking coffee. The cabin has a fire pit and the owner provided firewood for our fires in the evening. My son caught a couple of fish in their stocked ponds. Communication with Jodi was awesome. Couldn’t have had a better time. Highly recommend this cabin for a getaway if you are looking to leave the world behind. “Glamping” at its finest!!

Cabin was very cozy, and property was so quiet it was very peaceful. Caught lots of decent sized catfish as well from the ponds. Owner was very kind to us and made sure we were taken care of. Would definitely recommend!

It was a nice, quiet stay. I really appreciated the warm gas fireplace when it was chilly and rainy.

We made an impromptu decision for our family to get away, and boy was it the best decision ever! The cabin was absolutely perfect and so clean. Everything you possibly could need during your stay was already provided. Dena and Jody were so sweet and even dropped by some more firewood and even had one started for us when we returned from a day on Kentucky Lake. Kentucky Lake is gorgeous and I highly recommend renting a pontoon and spending a day on the water including fishing! My husband caught several huge catfish while out. Tons to do and see as well. We will definitely come back on another trip soon. Also huge bonus for the cabin being pet friendly. Our fur babies truly enjoyed their first vacation and we would definitely book this cabin again.

Loved this cabin already planning next year. Out in country. Only a couple of cars did we see. Loved sitting and fishing at pond with the deck in the evenings after taking a small day trip to land between the lakes. Owners were great. Had a minor problem with stove witch they took care of that evening. Loved the peace and quiet.

The process was super easy. We were looking for a remote location away from our everyday hustle. We got just that. The cabin was very clean and the perfect size. The only compliant was the hot weather.

So in love with this place! Beautiful cabins, beautiful property, beautiful people! They’ve thought of everything. Spotless! Far enough out of the way to charge your soul yet close to so much. Family owned restaurants, diners, antique shops, shopping, exploring. Lakes Barkley, Kentucky, Tennessee River! Or stay on site and hike, explore the beautiful property, fish, swim, picnic, volleyball. So much to do, not enough time!

My fiancé were looking to get out of town for a weekend and we found this little cabin. It was exactly what we were looking for! If you are looking for some nice peace and quiet this is where you need to go. We explored surrounding areas of Hazel, KY and Paducah, KY for antiques and restaurants. Other than that we did some fishing at the pond with the deck and had camp fires and relaxed. Thank you for an awesome getaway!

Had nice time but owner was impossible to get a hold . We had no cell phone recession and when we went somewhere we tried texting her. Most importantly because we were only given 1 roll of toliet paper. Luckily my Mom brought another roll until we could go buy some. Walked up to owner home 3 times and no answer.For that reason probably would not go back. Very noce palce otherwise.

My family and I stayed this past weekend, what a wonderful relaxing stay! The cabin was very clean and fitting for the 5 of us (plus one pup). The icing to the cake was the hospitality of the owners, Dena and Jody, from the start they were welcoming. The property is very spacious, it was like a home away from home for us with. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Nice, cozy cabin perfect for isolating and relaxing!

We were so pleased with our stay, we will definitely be going back again. The cabin is clean and decorated so well, it was so cozy. There are plenty of kitchen items available - we didn't have to buy anything extra, just our own food and drinks. The owners live just down the drive in case you have any issues, and I truly enjoyed meeting and talking with them! The only thing I could have asked for was the weekend to not go by so quickly!!!

I had a family reunion vacation here with my two sons. The cabin was beautiful and peaceful. The ponds were great for swimming and the water was warm and relaxing. We caught a lot of large catfish and some bluegills. We had campfires, played volleyball and badminton and bags. We rented a pontoon 11 minutes way and fished and swam in the Kentucky lake for half a day. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this wonderful cabin in the woods.

Amazing property, very secluded, Owner of the property was very polite and made sure that all of our needs were met. Also a lot of fish in the stocked ponds!
