We had such a lovely time staying in this property - our family of 4 plus our dog. The studio itself is small but had everything we needed and it was actually wondeful to all be together playing, reading, cooking and hanging out. The yard area for the dog was massive - I was expecting just a courtyard, so that was fab. Cute labs next door. Awesome location. Beautiful views. Lots of nearby kangas. Hosts had anticipated all our needs.

The studio was warm and cosy, plenty of room with kitchen. Electric blankets, air ons and heaters if needed. Heated bathroom towel rail and heated light.. all well appointed. A comfy bed, sofa , arable and chairs. Fiona left a nice block of chocolate for our arrival, marshmallows for the fire pit, cereals, condiments, tea/ coffee all provided. There were games to play such as scrabble.
Woodend is a great location and the studio is on the outskirts of the Main Street of Woodend so in the countryside but only a short trip to restaurant/ bars and other shops.

This studio is lovely and peaceful. Definitely suitable for young kids being surrounded by nature and native animals (also the friendly doggies next door). Kitchen equiped with the basics and a small mini fridge . Only a short drive to the main town and attractions. Will never forget the stunning sunsets, the open fire and misty mornings .

I finished my little getaway at this lovely spacious property with my fur babies.The studio was very cosy and very clean. Great location next to plenty of walking tracks and shops. Including a very delicious bakery. Fiona the property host was lovely.

Exceptional! Even better than we expected! The host was warm & thoughtful - allowed us to check in earlier, provided beautiful nibbles, condiments, rocky road chocolates. Christmas decorations in our cottage. We travel a lot, & this has been one of the best stays that we have experienced! Completely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at the little cottage. Thankfully the torrential rain subsided by the time we woke up and allowed us to sit outside for the day with a fire pit, tunes, snacks, books and sketch pad…. Also some added Labrador cuddles who kept us company for the day (our choice of course). The location is very close to the Woodend township and supermarkets.

Just out of Woodend, set in the lovely countryside with beautiful views and nature. It was neatly presented with little surprise in the kitchen (yum). Unfortunately the weather was not right to sit around the fireplace, but next time we will try the experience. Thanks to the hosts for accommodating us.

grounds for our fur babies and the house was kept warm even before we arrived. View was gorgeous and the host friendly and allowed us to enjoy the property with privacy. Coles and town centre was accessible. Would love to stay again

We found Studio @ Halpern very comfortable to stay at and the location and views were lovely. The open fire pit was set and ready to light up so that we could sit back and toast marshmallows and enjoy the sunset and views. Perfect.

We loved staying in the studio. Aside from the stunning view and fire pit, which we made the most of, the studio is well appointed and generous with supplies. Everything we needed from milk to a special treat on arrival was provided. Despite its proximity to the main house, the studio felt very private. We really enjoyed our stay.

Magical spot, had a very relaxing evening around the fire pit under the trees. Saw lots of kangaroos which is a nice change from a laptop.. Great to be able to cook dinner. Explored during the day, feet up at night. Comfy bed, hope to come back.

We had an enjoyable stay with our 2 border collies. The location was good for walks and the large fenced, grassed area was ideal for the dogs who were very comfortable in the new surroundings. The Studio was very comfortable for us as well.

Our timing for the short break could have been much better if the weather had been kind, then again the whole of the east coast has had worse. We still ventured out into the towns and communities, had some great meals, under an umbrella, our dog was with us. Enjoyed the view from the studio across the valley. Very relaxing stay. Would like to stay again, in better weather.

Studio was quaint but well equipped with everything you can think of. Whilst situated next to main house we felt miles away. Communication with owners was timely and check in & out was hassle free. Views are stunning and backyard makes the most of them with a great fire pit and chairs to pass the hours with a glass or two of wine 🍷
