I have stayed here 5 times and every time when our 14 days are up it is sooo very hard to leave. The owners are extremely considerate and they sincerely care about their guest! The condo is close to shopping and great restaurants.

Another year, another wonderful vacation at La Playa Loca. We enjoyed our time in the sun spending time at the pool and on the beach. The view from the balcony is spectacular where you can view the dolphins in the morning and the sunsets in the evening.
The condo is very clean and well maintained. As always, Scott and Laurie are great hosts who ensure you have everything you need to sit back and enjoy your time at their condo in Ocean Sands. We are already looking forward to our return next year. Thank you Scott and Laurel!

The BEST condo owners ever!!!
Excellent communication, amenities, CLEANLINESS, everything you need to just unpack and relax is right there.
Scott and Laurie are wonderful hosts!!! If you should need something ( which you won’t)
They are very responsive and resolve any issues quickly.
The complex itself if safe and secure. Maintenance does a wonderful job keeping the grounds maintained.
You really do not need a car unless you plan on doing day trips. There is a free beach taki service that runs on tips only, Big Willie’s Tiki Taxi, and the Beach Trolley. Winne Dixie and the liquor store is within walking distance as well as MANY bars and restaurants. I suggest taking one of the taxi services down to John’s Pass and boardwalk for shopping, dining and excursions. If you’re not familiar with the area, parking can be hard to find and if you end up in a private lot it is VERY Expensive.
The sunset views from the balcony can not be beat!!! Nice hot tub and pool take advantage of that. The beach is AMAZING!!!!

Spectacular! What a beautiful condo! Scott and Laurie are the most responsive hosts we’ve ever encountered with VRBO. When they asked us if there was anything they needed to change or fix, we honestly couldn’t think of a single thing! The beautifully decorated and unbelievably well- stocked unit, the stunning views from the huge balcony, the pristine building and great location,- 5 stars all around! We cannot wait to visit again!

This is our third time staying at this condo on the beach. Scott and Laurie take excellent care of their property. We love sitting on the large balcony over looking the Gulf of Mexico. The sunsets are spectacular. The condo is well stocked with everything you need for the beach and pool. The kitchen has everything for cooking dinner or restaurants across the street for when we didn’t feel like preparing dinner. We have booked another stay. We will be back.

This condo has everything you need. There is an over abundance of supplies; toilet paper, towels, soap, beach gear, etc. The unit is right on the gulf, great views out of the living room and guest bedroom, with sliding doors going out to the balcony from each room. The king bed in the main bedroom very comfortable. The owners are the best of any vrbo we have rented, and we have rented many places in the US and abroad. Great communication in every phase.
The location in Madeira Beach is perfect. There are restaurants within easy walking distance from the unit. Walking the beach every day is a delight. Bottom line: you cannot go wrong with renting this unit. A no brainer. Absolutely highly recommend.

A group of five former soccer moms thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo. Madeira Beach is the perfect location to enjoy the beach, restaurants and all the amenities along the gulf coast. As trip coordinator, this is my 5th stay at Ocean Sands and first time in this particular unit. To say the condo is well stocked would be an understatement. Everything you need is on hand and in total abundance! Just a quick trip to get some groceries and you can relax in the beautiful pool or on the sandy shore. I took the gals exploring on day one via the "Jolly Trolly" with stops at Treasure Island and John's Pass. Numerous restaurants explored during our two-week stay included Sculleys, Conch Republic, Lucky Lizard, Dockside Daves, Ricky Ts, Frabottas, Salt Rock Grill and Berns Steakhouse in Tampa. Very little cooking for this crew! Hosts Lori and Scott were fabulous and we enjoyed the most delicious welcome gift upon our arrival (I won't spoil the surprise here!). The sleeping situation was a little tight for the five of us, but fortunately we brought along an air mattress. I highly recommend LaPlaya for those looking to stay in this area.

Ocean Sands is a wonderful place to stay and we’ve been to several condos there but when you walk into Play Loca it is like going into someone’s home, not a beach rental. The nice tile floors in the common area are clean, well maintained carpets in the bedroom catch your attention immediately. Everything is up to date, the furniture and beds are comfortable and the TV’s are all equipped for streaming and there is cable of course. The kitchen is well equipped with a large sett of matching dish ware and a large set of matching silverware, not always what you find in a rental! There is a bountiful supply of paper products, soap, shampoo and detritus. The owners are very attentive and helpful should you need any assistance while you are there. This was our 2nd stay and we hope to go back.

It's quite common for people like us who travel, to look forward to going home to rest after they've become tired from events on their vacation. We can honestly say that when we vacation at La Playa Loca, we wish that our vacation could last longer.
When we arrived and opened the door to our condo, everything was as perfect as it was on our previous three rentals. The condo was kept up-to-date and fully stocked and we noticed several upgrades that took place since we were here last year. We knew that if we had any questions or had any problems, we could contact Scott or Laurie, and they'd get back to us as soon as they received our message.
This is our fourth booking with the Gough family, but we've vacationed at least twenty other times in this area with other condo rental owners. Most of these rentals were good, but we didn't know what “Excellent” meant until we stayed with Scott and Laurie. They put all of the other rentals to shame.

Our second stay at La Playa Loca was truly a delight. The condo is clean, comfortable and very well stocked. It provides everything you may need during your stay. We enjoyed our days relaxing at the beach/pool and evenings watching amazing sunsets from the balcony. There are many good restaurants and shops within walking distance or a short drive. I had the pleasure of meeting Scott and Laurie last year in the hot tub at Ocean Sands. Wonderful people! I decided to rent from them this year, best decision ever!!
The condo is exceptional!! The cleanliness cannot be beat. The communication was exceptional. Any questions I had they were quick to get back to me. The condo is very well stocked with anything you could possibly need.
The sunsets are beautiful, the grounds are well-maintained, the pool and hot tub are clean. Everyone you meet is friendly.
From over abundance of towels, beach chairs, and supplies, to the welcome gift was an awesome surprise. They go above and beyond to make sure you really enjoy your vacation and worry about nothing.
I had an excellent time and cannot wait to return for a month next year! Thank you again for everything!!!!

This is a return trip to the same condo and hosts. Condo was spotless and loaded with supplies and amenities. Never felt that we needed to replace the few supplies we used, abundant available. Location amazing with an incredible beach steps past the back door for walking, the gulf for swimming and dolphin watching from the balcony. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance but lots more a short drive away. Love catching a baseball game. We will keep coming back.

Scott and Laurie go above and beyond. I have been staying at ocean sands on and off for 35 years. Made some of the best memories this time around. I’ve never had owners be so accommodating and thoughtful. What stands out is the owners the pride they take in making your stay comfortable.
Great sunsets and great weather made it all in all a great stay. Great places with in walking distance to eat or drink. Live music on many nights. Can’t wait till next time

Scott and Laurie are 6 stars hosts. The unit is clean, neat, organized, well stocked and has an incredible view. We stayed here last year and was so happy to return. The pool has friendly people and the view from the balcony is beautiful. We would sit on the balcony each night and enjoy the sunset. We went to the beach and pool everyday. If there was ever a problem Scott would answer within minutes and the problem would be solve within a few hours. We have already booked another 2 weeks for next year. This is a wonderful unit and makes us so happy. Thank you Scott and Laurie for sharing it with us.

My wife and I spent a thoroughly enjoyable 2 week vacation at La Playa Loca. This was our first stay in Madeira Beach and our only disappointment was that the unit is already fully booked when we want to return next year.
The condo is as described in the listing, with a truly stunning view up and down the beach. The unit itself is well appointed, well maintained and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped.
The building, property, pool and beach are also all very well maintained.
As many previous visitor's reviews have stated, Scott and Laurie are exceptional communicators. They go out of their way to ensure their guests have everything they need, as well as communicating information to ensure guests are informed of any pertinent current circumstances in and around the condo to be aware of.
For baseball fans, there are a number of spring training parks within easy driving distance to take in a game or two. Groceries, fresh seafood, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance or a short drive.

We had an amazing time in Madeira Beach while staying here. The condo is in a great location and enjoying coffee on the balcony overlooking the beach each morning was fabulous! The hosts are great to work with, responsive and accommodating. We felt very welcomed and appreciated in their condo. Whether we were in the pool, inside, or on the balcony we were able to truly relax and enjoy our stay.

After staying at multiple properties in the area, this was our favorite. The condo is beautifully decorated and well appointed. We especially enjoyed the balcony and evening sunsets. Our return to La Playa Loca did not disappoint! January used to be the longest month and is now the shortest. Our stay from January 1 to Jan 31 flew by with morning coffee and evening sunsets on the ocean front balcony every day. Scott and Laurie have thought of everything; the condo is extremely well equipped. The location is excellent. Winn-Dixie grocery, restaurants and shopping are all walkable or we could hop on the Sun Coast trolley. We did not have a car and did not miss it. We would love to return!

Condo fully equipped with an abundance of supplies: toiletries, paper towels, regular towels, beach toys, kitchen ware. Condo has everything you need and then some.
Gracious hosts had 2 hats, a delicious coffee cake and a six pack of Corona for us upon arrival. The owners also very open for suggestions.
King bed in Master very comfortable.
My wife and I had a very great time here, one of our nicest vacation rentals and that is saying a lot because we have rented many places throughout our retirement.
We liked it so much we are returning next year.
Highly recommend this condo. You can't go wrong.

Well maintained and clean condo that was well equipped with beach equipment, beach towels and a nicely appointed, modern kitchen. We have stored at several other units in this building and this was definitely the nicest. Excellent communication with the owner who seemed genuinely interested in our well being. I plan to return.

We've just come off our third consecutive stay at La Playa Loca. This place never disappoints! It's beautiful, always kept up-to-date, and amazingly well-stocked with things one doesn't usually expect to find in a rental. But what makes La Playa Loca really special (aside from the beautiful location) are the hosts, Scott and Laurie. Extremely gracious and hospitable, they always go the extra mile to assure guests the best possible beach experience. Without reservation, We can give La Playa Loca out wholehearted recommendation.

My family and I had an amazing time! Scott and Laurie were AMAZING hosts! They were proactive in communication and very responsive. They genuinely care about their guests!! The condo was clean, nicely maintained, comfortable, and well stocked! Plenty of towels, beach gear, cleaning/everday products - it made our stay easy! Location is perfect... beach and pool just steps away, easy access to roads, nearby restaurants, shopping, etc. The balcony was perfect with full views of the most beautiful sunsets the gulf coast has to offer! My Favorite Place
Madiera Beach is our favorite place to visit every summer. We have stayed a few places but this condo is the best we have found and we have stayed here for 3 years in a row. From the friendliness of the owners to all the extra beach toys they provide, the experience is wonderful. I almost hate to write this review because I don't want to have competition in booking this condo in the future. We will absolutely be booking this condo for years to come.

Who could ask for more?
We just completed our latest two weeks at La Playa Loca on Wednesday, May 25th, and we miss it already. It's been great, as usual. Normally, after we stay at a beachfront location like this multiple times (this was our third rental), we begin to take things for granted. In this case, though, Scott and Laurie seem to work hard to make things better and better, and there are pleasant and surprising touches during each visit that makes us wonder what we'll experience on our next visit. That's why we've already booked our next two-week reservation, and we hope that we can book other reservations after that. Why should we look for other lodgings when we've found perfection? Thanks again, Scott and Laurie!

Amazing stay.
Call it luck or a blessing but we booked this condo last minute after others cancelled. What an amazing location, area, and condo. Scott and Laurie do not disappoint with this one of a kind stay. They are so hospitable and welcoming. The condo has absolutely any and everything you would need. We were even greeted with chocolate covered strawberries! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area to stay here.

Excellent beach vacation
I read reviews. So I hope this helps you make the right decision. This condo is EXCELLENT. Scott and Laurie were wonderful hosts. The condo is right on the Gulf of Mexico with beautiful sunsets. Upon arrival we had all the directions we needed to enter the condo. We were pleasantly surprised to find a welcome gift from Scott and Laurie. Everything was spotless. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need to cook with. It even had a crockpot. There was plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, wagon, cooler, and many beach towels. The bathrooms were very clean and had shampoo,conditioner, and body soap. There was even a first aid kit. Plenty of supplies of paper goods. The king size bed was very comfortable. We loved our stay here and hope to come back every year. We found our happy place. Thank you Scott and Laurie.

Exceptional Beach Paradise
Our stay at La Playa Loca exceeded our expectations. Scott and Laurie were perfect hosts and thought of everything. Anything you could possibly need was in the condo. The location near restaurants and stores is ideal. All the beach equipment and even a cart made beach time a breeze. The large deck was a perfect place to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets and dolphin sightings.

A Piece of Paradise
January has become my favorite month of the year, since we spent it at La Playa Loca. The ocean front balcony is the perfect place to watch dolphins with morning coffee and sunsets at day’s end. The condo is exceptionally well equipped and stocked with everything we needed, including beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. The kitchen is fully equipped and we cooked many meals after a visit to the fish market down the street. The condo is in a beautiful, quiet complex located close to restaurants, grocery stores, and anything else you would want within a short walking distance. The homemade ice cream at the Amish Creamery was a treat we all enjoyed. Scott and Laurie are great and we greatly appreciate the thought and attention you give to your guests. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to our return!

Unforgettable First Visit to Madeira Beach
This was our first visit to the Madeira Beach area in Florida and it left a great impression on us. Our stay at La Playa Loca was just perfect, the location was right on the beach and we had everything we needed and more. The condo was fully stocked, I mean anything you can need and more was there! We saw dolphins regularly and looked forward to seeing them almost daily. Scott and Laurie were super accessible and easy to work with. We felt like family while we were at La Playa Loca and would love to return again. We were sad to leave.
