We had the most amazing time. Watching birds, making fires, enjoying the view from the verandah, switching off from technology. So beautiful! Can’t wait to come back!

An absolutely wonderful place for a quiet get-away, just perfect!

Lovely little log cabin with the necessities, a fire and perfect location away from everyone for a getaway. An added bonus of limited mobile reception was a plus. Fiona was lovely and accomodating, would truly recommend !!!!

The booking process was quite easy, Fiona who owns Magnolia Cottage was very accommodating and was a delight to communicate with both via email and phone. The location was very nice and peaceful, actually getting to the destination was a little curly as the road was a dirt road, but this is to be expected given the location. The Cottage was very clean, the grass was nicely mowed and is a wonderful place for a quite getaway, especially if you dont want to be disturbed as not much mobile phone coverage. Lovely fireplace, Double spa, electric blnkets and aircon, big Verandah with outdoor furniture to sit on, bbq, fire pit! A lovely place to take your pet to as well, our dog enjoyed running outside and at night enjoyed sitting on his bed in front of the fireplace!

We loved so much about our stay in Magnolia Cottage at Hidden Valley Retreat Cottages. Within the first hour of our arrival we were birdwatching (there are so many beautiful birds here) & enjoying all the gorgeous surrounds of the Valley and the bush. We spent the evenings in front of an open fire and the days exploring the Valley. From booking to walking through the Cottage door Fiona & Mike made us feel very welcome and we appreciated their visit to check in on our arrival. Thankyou for sharing this beautiful place with us Fiona & Mike, we will definitely return to check on the Satin Bowerbird's progress. This was simply a perfect getaway.

The property was everything we had hoped for - quiet, easy to get to and most of all relaxing

Easy book online. Got what we paid for and more. Fiona communicated what was needed & was happy to help. We were left in peace to enjoy the serenity of the property. Fiona did pop by on our last night to check how our stay was & was friendly & welcoming. No phone, internet or TV was just what the doctor asked for & our Border Collie just loved it. Will definitely go back.

Absolutely blown away, Very well set up and Fiona was amazing to deal with. I thought we might have issues with minimal wifi or signal but this was an unexpected joy, we played board games, watched dvds, went hiking, bird watching, made a bridge across the creek behind the cabin, We went Swimming at the river (Colo 20 - 25min drive)and (Ripples Pools 30min drive) , Locals were a delight to chat to. A lot of cool history around the valley. The Cabin is well thought out, warm comfy, quiet and had everything, next time we we’ll pack a lot less and take essentials only food, clothes and toiletries. We stayed for 3 nights my only gripe is we didn’t stay longer!!! Thank you Fiona, Many happy returns. 110% see y’all next year 😊 We will 110% be next year.

It was our second trip to Hidden Valley & it never disappoints. Stayed in Magnolia Cottage this time & were as delighted as we were the first time. The cottages ooze rustic charm. Can’t wait to return for an utterly peaceful & relaxing weekend. A beautiful weekend

An easy check in process, a lovely cosy cottage to stay in, close to Richmond and a short drive to Kurrajong and Bilpin

Went away with mates to be in the middle of nowhere and enjoy the secluded nature

Excellent place to relax and unwind. Minutes from North Richmond but feels like you are miles and miles from civilisation. Will stay again

My family & I had a wonderful getaway in this rustic hidden cottage for the weekend - exactly what we needed to rejuvenate & relax in the nature that surrounds the cottage! We could not have asked for anything more than the simple, quiet & moments! Fiona & her husband were very great & helpful! Definitely worth a stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A quaint little cabin in the bush. Loved watching and hearing the birds, and snuggling by the fireplace in the evening. Very comfortable and relaxing, thank you for having us.

We had a terrific time at Magnolia Cottage. It was a really cold weekend but we had air conditioning and a fireplace to get cozy. Nice also to have an electric blanket for sleeping! The surrounds were perfect, absolutely peaceful, lots of birds and the sound of a running creek. Facilities were great. No TV (although there was one we didn't use it!) or internet but some signal for our Telstra mobile when we needed it. We had a great bbq and ate outside on our last night. Highly recommended.

My mother, myself and our dachshund Suki stayed here. I loved the remoteness. Highlights for me was the open fireplace (rather than a burner of sorts) and the large corner bath.

What can I say. This Hidden Valley is exactly that. The perfect escape from everyday life and technology. It was the perfect break we needed and more than we did. I would like to thank you again for allowing us to share in your little slice of paradise. RIta and Mary

This property is breathtakingly gorgeous. Hidden away from the outside world. All you need to do is sit back, relax, make a cuppa and soak up the peace and quite. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the cabin is delightful. Fiona is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend a stay here. 💜🧚🌸

Such a lovely spot secluded away from everything. Just a short drive to all the local sites but you feel like you are a million miles away. I love how quiet it was and each morning it was misty as I sat on the verandah just absorbing the sounds of nature., so many birds. Will definitely be back to this little piece of paradise.

It was just as expected. Lovely, peaceful stay. We did very little but there were local attractions and a tennis court to use at the main house. Fiona was welcoming and friendly. Excellent for our dog too. Thank you Fiona, we feel much better!

Finally after 2 cancelations (Covid) third time lucky! It was worth the wait. Beautiful log cabin in beautiful surroundings. A lovely peaceful weekend. We’ll be back.

This is a little slice of heaven. The property was beautifully clean and perfectly equipped for our three night stay. Not having phone reception was so refreshing - even the kids enjoyed that part of the stay! Our dog also had the most wonderful time. We look forward to our next stay in Magnolia Cottage.

A basic but comfortable cottage surrounded by trees and birds. What more could you need? I took our two sons (9 & 10) for a midweek stay and we enjoyed sleep-ins, walks, board games (which we brought) and discovering the area. We returned home feeling rejuvenated. A couple of yellow tailed cockatoos visited a nearby tree one morning which was a highlight. I enjoyed the lack of mobile reception too. Great stay overall.

The bird life was amazing.It is in an ideal location to explore both up the Colo river area or alternatively up the Bells line of road with its orchards , villages and Mt Tomah botanical gardens.Alternatively take everything you need and never leave for the duration of your stay and just soak up the peace and tranquility of this beautiful , valley.

It was amazing to reflect that this property was only just over an hour from Sydney. It felt like we were hours from anywhere. We had a great weekend swimming in the river, tasting gin and picking fruit. The cabin was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed and the surroundings were just spectacular.
