The place is a bit too hot to sleep in the first day arrived. would prefer air conditioner place next time. TV signal is weak, unable to watch Channel 7,9 etc.

Beautiful views, well equipped house. So relaxing and so handy to the beach, only a few minutes walk. Stunning beaches. Local food and service faultless. The house is tired and worn, and not overly clean but not an issue enough to take away from the ocean views, the sounds of crashing waves and the serenity that is the sea! On a clear night, star gazing is a must! Helen and Ian are very responsive

Some windows wouldn't open. Blinds didn't work etc. Great for supply of crockery and appliances. Needs an iron and towel airer. Also need access to the 3rd bathroom in the studio because the one main bathroom is not sufficient for the 8 people without the ensuite. Overall a very nice place and an enjoyable stay.

Amazing location. Heavy rain caused a leak from the skylight which disappointing the owner was aware of when notified. We had 9 people with only 8 dining chairs available. The house can cater for 10 people! Another outdoor setting would enable the whole group to sit on the back deck and enjoy the amazing view. Overall just looking a little tired. Well appointed kitchen and appliances good. We had a fun family holiday.

Stains on pillow and quilt. Dirty sandy floor and table tops. Food crumbs on the floor. Black mould in the bedroom. Pet hair on surfaces. Dead spiders and cockroaches on bedroom floor and in bath. (I suppose that is better than live ones). Unclean place and owner was not willing to offer a solution and believed cleaners over me. Of course they would say they cleaned the place! He accused me of lying about the state of the house despite us supplying pictures. Had the owner had offered a sensible solution on the night, we might not of been in this mess. He offered a full refund minus service fee and went back on his word resulting in us losing close to a thousand dollars and ruining a holiday that was meant to be a memorable 50th birthday with good friends. We had an agreement and he went back on his word. He offered partial reimbursement and then refused to cover alternative accommodation, which was less than the current accommodation. He would not cover the cost of the hotel room we had to stay in because of due to lack of accommodation because at short noticed. So sad. So upsetting.

The house, with it's 2 living areas, was perfect for our extended family. The kitchen is large and well equipped - we were particularly grateful for the supplies of basic store cupboard items. An umbrella on the back deck would be a great addition since it can get very hot in the morning sun.We all really liked the fact that we had the surf beach in front of us, and the calm beaches of north Jervis Bay only a 20 minute drive away.Helen and Ian were very easy and prompt to deal with, and we all hope to return for another visit.

Thank you for a lovely long weekend at Golden Shores. The house was everything we hoped for, and the added bonus was our hosts being super organised and generously accommodating. The beach views from the kitchen, dining and lounge area meant we spent most of our time cooking, eating, and relaxing while watching the waves come in, after a walk or a surf. An excellent spot to be as active or as tranquil as you please. Thank you so much. We look forward to returning!

We found that the property was in need of some updating and repairs, ie the blinds in some rooms did not work , toilet set in on suit broken , roof leaked water in the tv lounge area , roof leaked from fire place flue. Oven was dirty, dish washer smelt had to clean the filter out . I think for the fee they charge for cleaning , the place should be spotless ,also there were spider webs and a few cockroaches found . Other wise we had a good 4 days , I just thought I’d let them know so they can attend to these problems regards Noel Harris.

top location if you are a beach bum and have good weather! Not really any shops within walking distance but only a short drive.

This is a beautiful property, a little difficult to find but once you knew where it was we were right. Very relaxing , quiet and wonderful views. Would definitely recommend for a group or two families.

Despite the difficult conditions on the South Coast we were still able to enjoy some time at this lovely beach house. Great location & views & pet friendly. A generous welcome basket & well stocked pantry was very much appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at Golden Shores. The house is absolutely beautiful and the view of Culburra Beach is spectacular. It is literally a 50m walk down to the beach from the backyard. The house is clean, well stocked with items in the pantry, and you can tell there has been a lot of thought and detail that has gone into the design of each room. We loved our stay here, as did our family from overseas, and we would love to be back again. The hosts are lovely and leave very detailed instructions for a smooth check in and check out. We would definitely recommend this house and hope to be back in the near future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A well planned and spacious house. Great views and location and generous amenities.

The setup of the house is very comfortable but it could do with a make-over. We noticed a few things that would make a difference such as a rangehood over the cooktop, smoke detectors are missing which is illegal, a fire extinguisher in the kitchen, airconditioning, a roof over the deck & the water pressure in the kitchen is very low.

We used Golden Shores for a weekend family get together. The house is modern with great architectural features and is in a wonderful location overlooking Culburra Beach and ocean. Direct access to the beach enhances the location and the large expanse of windows in the kitchen and living areas, and the outdoor deck and lawn, exploit the wonderful ocean vistas. We were lucky enough to see migrating whales whilst relaxing on the deck. The ocean frontage is north east facing and great for capturing the winter sun. The house is carefully maintained, clean and well furnished. Even dog beds are provided. Ian and Helen are excellent hosts and provided plenty of information about the house and area. The welcome basket they generously left was much appreciated by our group. We would hesitation on booking this house again for future trips to the coast.

We had a family group of 6 adults plus our old dog and there was more than enough room in this spacious home for everyone to be together or do their own thing in a separate area. The house is very clean and very well equipped. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The view is just beautiful and we all enjoyed the direct access to the beach, walking the dog and swimming every day. Helen and Ian are lovely hosts with great communication, we highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing beachfront getaway.

Superb and quiet location.

Had a lovely family extended weekend holiday at Golden Shores - everything was well kept, plenty of space for kids, grandkids and the dog! Thoroughly recommended for anyone looking for that beachside respite.

This house was well located, with stunning views of the beach. The house was well equipped and spread out that you didnt feel on top of each other. Beds were comfortable and would definitely recommend this as a family getaway. We were lucky enough to catch dolphins in the break of the waves.

We had a great getaway at Golden Shores. The owners have put in alot of effort to ensure the place is fully equipped from the kitchen amenities, household needs through to board games. Helen is very responsive and welcomed us with a nice gift basket for Christmas. We love the lay out of the house as it has breakout spaces and the bedrooms are quite spacious. Kitchen was also very spacious and great views of the water. Great location right on the beach. Accessible to the beach. We really had such a great holiday.

We loved our stay at Golden Shores. It’s a spacious, comfortable home with outstanding ocean views. The position on the beachfront is fabulous. We had the opportunity to do some whale watching from the back deck. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen is very well equipped and made cooking easy. The hosts are wonderful, great communication and very thoughtful extras in and around the home. We were a family group of 8 adults and we made a great choice to stay here.
