This property was AMAZING! First, let me say kudos for the perfect communication. We had all we needed to find the property (excellent directions) and gain entry and enjoy our stay. The property was MORE than expected regarding location and amenities! We fell in LOVE the "quiet" side of the island and being able to see the bay. Sleeping with windows open and smelling the salt air and hearing the bay sounds were wonderful The décor was so homey and beautiful and made Seaside Rose perfect. I took some ideas back for my own home But truly, what amazed me more than anything was the cleanliness of the home. I have stayed in lots of accommodation's through the years in my travels, and am always a bit leery and prepared to clean if needed upon arrival. But Seaside Rose was spotless! Please pass on to your crew how impressed I was with their diligence, you could tell they took pride in their work! I would LOVE if they lived closer as they would be a blessing to have in our area! I have never felt more at home, and at ease than at Seaside Rose. I traveled with my mother, and knowing that we both were comfortable in the space (first floor accommodations were perfect for her) set my mind at ease and allowed us to be excited to come "home" each evening. THANK YOU for the perfect stay in sweet Bass Harbor, Maine. If we are every blessed to go back to the area- Seaside Rose would be my top choice!

This cottage was the perfect location from which to explore MDI. It was quiet and away from all the Bar Harbor traffic, yet close enough to restaurants and all the tourist sites. The view of Bass Harbor from the cottage was nothing short of amazing! The cottage was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. We cooked some meals there and found everything we needed. There was even a lobster pot, though we could have used some shell crackers. We were there in soft-shell season and made do without them. The Ketch restaurant is in walking distance and was quite good. Their menu is in the handy binder at the cottage that contains all sorts of info about the area. Other good restaurants were a short drive away. We enjoyed lots of good hikes on MDI and over at Schoodic Penninsula. There is a good sunset viewing area up the street between the cottage and the Ketch Restaurant. We enjoyed a nice Acadia vacation, though it was more crowded than we expected for September on the east side of the island, though the west (quiet) side was fine. This cottage exceeded our expectations and we would happily stay here again. It was one of the best rentals we've stayed in.

Loved, Loved, LOVED this property. Comfortable and clean accomodations, beautiful sunsets, room for the family to spread out, and away from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Will definitely return.

We had a positive experience. The house was as advertised.

Traveling with two mobility impaired adults and the first floor was perfect for them. There’s a small ramp from the front entry and then one seamless floor. We sent a shower chair via Amazon in advance and the owner was very kind to allow this and even notified me when it arrived. My teenage boys and I had the huge upstairs to ourselves and we had plenty of space to spread out! Incredible views from both floors and we were fascinated by the high and low tides. The kids were even able to walk all the way out to the middle at low tide! We had a fantastic week on the quiet side! So much to do in the park and outside the park. Thank you.

We really enjoyed this home. The view is amazing and the pictures on the listing do not do the view justice. A very peaceful area with huge picture windows from each floor. The set up of the home was perfect for 2 couples. The 1st floor bathroom shower is really tiny and it was hot on the top floor with no AC, but this would not keep us from renting this home again.

We loved our time at Seaside Rose! Quiet side of MDI, but Bar Harbor and Acadia are readily accessible. The cottage had everything needed and was very clean. And the sunrises/sunsets over Bass Harbor were amazing!

This home seriously has it all. The views are incredible, it was clean far beyond expectations, the kitchen was well stocked with basic essentials, owners were very responsive, and I loved the thoughtful table filled with info about the area. As for location, it was less than a mile to a gas station/convenience store, there was a variety of restaurants within a few miles, and it was only five minutes to reach a couple of trailheads. Bar Harbor was about a half hour’s drive, but it didn’t feel that long. Great location overall, in terms of how it had a little bit of everything nearby. We absolutely loved Seaside Rose! My description doesn’t do it justice. We would definitely stay there again!

Great home right on Bass Harbor. The living room and dining area looked out on the harbor with a wonderful wall of windows. Quiet neighborhood with several lobster pounds/shacks nearby. Easy access to quiet side of Acadia NP.

There were 5 of us staying here and we loved it!! We grilled out one night, cooked breakfast every morning and ate while looking out at the harbor. We were comfortable, I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to visit Bar Harbor. Nice and quiet, close enough to all the activity, and the drive around Acadia National Park was wonderful!!!

We are a mother and adult daughter who are particular about cleanliness. I have stayed in MANY VRBO properties but this one could be the cleanest...it was that good! Great view, loved how the furniture faced the view and not the TV. We stayed in upstairs loft which is comfortable and cute with more of that wonderful view. Good hiking on that side of island (easy: Ship Harbor and Wonderland; moderate: Mt. Acadia, Beech Mountain). About 25 min drive to Bar Harbor. We cooked in, well stocked kitchen and grill worked perfectly. Overall a 5-star rating from us!

Property was very nice! Location was good for day trips to Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor and other neighboring communities. Enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the harbor activities! Clean and well equipped (kitchen/laundry/towels), and a lot of room. Owner was very helpful/responsive to any questions asked. Would recommend this property!

Property was exactly as listed. Beds comfortable, kitchen equipped nicely, beautiful view, close to Southwest Harbor shops and restaurants, lots of info on local attractions, nice touches such as night lights, extra blankets. Would definitely re-book this home.

My family of four (our kids are in their 20s) had a wonderful stay at this house. The photos of the house are accurate; it is a really nice house. The view of Bass Harbor from the living room is spectacular. We had a terrific view of a beautiful sunset from the living room! Acadia was pretty crowded so we were glad to be staying on the "Quiet Side" of Mt. Desert Island. We had a minor hiccup (the power was out one time when we came back) and the owner was very responsive and helpful. (The power came back on very quickly--it was a planned, brief outage.) I highly recommend this house!!

We had a wonderful experience at Seaside Rose! Great location for exploring Acadia, restaurants are within walking distance, and the harbor views are fantastic! We definitely would rent it again.

My husband and I, along with our two teenage girls, (16 & 19) had a delightful stay in this beautiful scenic cottage. The upstairs space was perfect for our two girls. We were delighted that all our basic needs were provided for, and then some. The sunset views from this cottage will take your breath away. We felt so blessed to be there and enjoyed every moment. Thank you for sharing this spectacular property. A slice of heaven on the Maine coast!!!

The house is in a quiet neighborhood on the quiet side of the island and features a fantastic harbor view. Well maintained and very clean, this is a great place to stay if you want to enjoy Acadia without the crowds in Bar Harbor

My husband and I have stayed in lots of VRBO homes. This was by far our favorite. The view of the harbor was beautiful from both floors and the surrounding area provides lots of fun things to do like the Island Cruise and Acadia National Park. The house is very clean and we had everything we needed. Thank you for such a wonderful vacation. We want to come back soon!

This house is right on the water and with a western exposure you can watch the tides change in the bay and watch the sun set from either the deck or the living room.

Lovely house, very clean with all the necessities. The photos do not do this place justice. A great view with friendly neighbors. Enjoyed starting our day on the deck with coffee and ending it with a gorgeous sunset over the water. We will definitely be back!

Pictures do not do this properly justice! The views are just incredible, and while the home is small, it makes such an excellent use of space! So many hooks, drawers, and shelves to stay organized. Home was clean, cozy, and well-organized and furnished. We really enjoyed our stay here in Bass Harbor and would definitely recommend this property to others.

Early may a lot of restaurants were not open and had to travel to Bar Harbor. The house had great view and a deer showed up the last day in back yard. First time to main..., glad we went in early season to avoid big crowds but wish more was open. COVID has an impact I'm sure. Highly recommend the homesites central location to all the harbors.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location! Quiet, private and spacious. The photos online while accurate, do not do justice to this gem!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The views are wonderful and the house was clean and had everything we needed. Excellent proximity to the lighthouse and Seawall where I photographed the sunrise, sunset, and Milky Way. Can’t beat rolling out of bed and driving only 5 minutes to these southern points. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time and the house was as advertised. The only negatives were the weather that had some showers but the owner can't control the weather. Nice views of the harbor and we enjoyed seeing the tides fill the "pond" and then draining it. It is very near some nice places to walk and see the Maine Coast. We had a very fine stay.
