Decided to use VRBO for our son’s soccer tournament in Granbury instead of a hotel. We decided on the Firefly Cottage because it looked amazing and we could go fishing. The cabin was amazing. Clean with everything we needed to cook, keep kids entertained and have room for ourselves. The beds were very comfortable. Carolyn was a fantastic host, started communicating as soon as we booked the rental. We will going this route for now on for tournaments, and if we are in Granbury, will try to get the Firefly Cottage.

The quiet cove was just the setting we were hoping for. The cottage was immaculate…complete kitchen & spotless throughout.

Cute, comfy, quiet, and easy to find lake house. Close enough to town. Very relaxing, and my fav was sitting on the dock with friends, and making s'mores in the fire pit.

We had a wonderful time. The house was well stocked with everything you need. It is a great place to stay. I highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage despite the rain for the 2 days we were there. The place has everything you need and is a great place on the lake. We will definitely be back another time to enjoy boating and fishing.

Lovely cottage on the lake. Our 8 yr old daughter and her friend really enjoyed the paddleboat, as well as the adventure exploring in nearby Dinosaur Valley State Park. Spot on recommendations for eating - Loco Coyote and Firehouse Cafe. Thank you, Carolyn for being a helpful and gracious host!

The property is kept up nicely and there was nothing lacking for a couple or a family. EVERYTHING inside was immaculately clean and comfortable. There were Indoor and outdoor games, WiFi, streaming services and other activities available. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and access to the water was ideal. We are definitely looking forward to a repeat visit. Had to make one call to the owner, which was completely my fault, but she answered promptly and was very courteous.

This was our second trip to Fire Fly cottage. We stayed 10 days and had a great time. Granbury is a cute place with very friendly people. Carolyn has very helpful. The kitchen was stocked with every thing you could possibly need. We will return again. The Teel family

It was the last week before my Mom started chemo and my daughter and I wanted her to have a nice, peaceful week. She absolutely loved it. Everything you could ever want or need is in this home. Sitting on the dock, I took the most amazing pictures. It will be a memory of a lifetime and we really hope to be able to take my mom back again. 🙏🙏

Wonderful property with everything you would need for an amazing time. We enjoyed the sunsets, relaxing on the covered patio & boat dock, playing the outdoor games & cooking on the grill. Inside was decorated so nicely, beds were very comfy and view from the master bedroom was awesome. Will definitely be booking again

Property is beautiful and well maintained. Furniture comfy. Well outfitted kitchen. Very welcoming. Super beds. Close to town but very quiet when you get back. Watched the geese land every morning. Second trip there and will definitely go again. Owner very responsive.

This is a great place especially it you have a boat or rent one! The kitchen is the best out-fitted kitchen I’ve ever rented, so if you want to be able to cook this is perfect. The beds were comfy and the home very cute. The owner is very responsive to questions. I would love to go back in a bit cooler weather and rent a boat with our grandkids! I think they would love it!

This was our 3rd time staying at firefly cottage. We love being in the water on our floats to beat the TX heat and the swing is a big plus! Cottage is equipped with everything we needed for cooking as we ate every meal there. Would definitely recommend firefly cottage!!

This cottage was perfect for our family!! We loved how close to town it was and the walk to the water from the cottage was perfect!! Our kids had a blast on the paddle boat and rope swing. They caught a couple of catfish off the dock. It was really hot but the air conditioner worked great in the house. We had everything we needed! We will definitely be back! Lake Granbury is beautiful and close to the square where you can visit wineries and catch a ghost tour! There's so much to do!!

The Firefly Cottage was perfect for our July 4 long weekend. We try to get family together for this weekend every year but busy schedules make it a challenge. One son and one grandchild joined for one night. Didn't plan on the dog but last minute changes were easily and graciously accommodated by Carolyn. Other friends joined us for two other nights and we all had a great time. Small issue was addressed quickly and completely by Carolyn which was greatly appreciated and worked around our schedule which was perfect. Mostly enjoyed sitting morning, noon and night on the deck but was very hot so enjoyed the lovely living room for a break from the heat. We will definitely be back! ADDED NOTE FROM OUR GUESTS WHO VISITED WITH US..."We had a great time in this cozy house. The owner's have put an amazing amount of time and energy into decorating every room with a different lake theme. It was a comfy addition to a great 4th of July!". Thanks again!

We really enjoyed our stay. There were only two problems we had with the inside of cabin. The shower was very difficult to get in and out of. The remote for the TV to watch in morning you could not get any local channels and the remote did not work properly. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings. We would have loved to go swimming but the lake was down and were nervous about getting in and out of lake. The inside was very nice and homey.

Carolyn is terriffic!! The stay was perfect for our family, and we enjoyed the cottage completely. The two children could not have been happier with their lake experience.

What a find! My sister and I and 2 grown children loved staying at Firefly Cottage. We had so much room and we’re so comfortable. We enjoyed fishing and paddling around in the water. Carolyn is an excellent host. We are talking about visiting again when the husbands don’t have to work and can join us.

This was a great place to wind down, enjoy the water and sunsets, play outdoor games, cookout. We would stay here again!!

This was our second stay at this property. We love this place. It’s not fancy but has a wonderful homey feel. Super clean and quiet. Excellent furniture, tv in every room and comfortable beds. We love the outdoor space! Enough outdoor chairs for all of us. As a family we have agreed that this is our lake house. Can’t wait to come back.

It was a brothers and sisters get together. We really enjoyed it. My brothers enjoyed fishing from the dock. Plenty of table and chairs outside to look out on the lake. House very clean. Kitchen well stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. Big TV’s in every room. Lots of games to play. We all played corn hole for the first time. We kind of made our own rules up at first. Beds very comfortable. Bedding light but kept you warm. The only trouble we had was the step down from kitchen to dining room. Our ages were 67 to 82 with bad knees. It was only one step but hard for us. Thank you for letting us stay there. Enjoyed it so much.

Our daughters and their family joined us for a fun family weekend to celebrate our anniversaries which all occur in April. This trip was a high success! The accommodations were great, the covered patio was as wonderful, and the dock area so much fun! Our host was easy to reach and very responsive. My son and I came here for a little father son bounding time. We brought our 2 Goldens. His dog is the father to my dog. They also had a great time. It was relaxing and very clean. Every amenity was thought of by the host. I just wish we could have caught some fish. They just weren’t biting.

Great place for a girls getaway. We enjoyed sitting on the dock watching the birds and the view. The Cottage was perfect for our visit.

Relaxing, fishing and beautiful sunsets happened every day of our stay. Our days went by too fast! We'll be back!

We decided to rent a lakefront home for my son's 18th birthday. We had a great time! There was plenty to do for the whole family. We have two small dogs and they loved the adventure too.
