Great getaway regardless of the weather.

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable lake house. The sunsets were breathtaking and beautiful. Possum Kingdom lake was a mere feet from the door. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend watching geese, deer, birds, and more roam around the open area. What a treat!

It was great little lake cabin. Our boys fish, swam, played in the dirt and slept. We played at Rocker B and this was very close for us to Lake while we weren’t playing baseball!!

This home was absolutely perfect for our family. We have several young children and a brand new baby. We stayed for a week to soak in some family time. The whole setup was so peaceful and quiet (minus my children). We had more fun playing cornhole on the porch, fishing off the shorline, and using the canoe/paddle boards. The owner went above and beyond with her communication and willingness to help us have the best week. We will cherish the memories we made that week and would certainly recommend this sweet home.

Second year at this house on the water at PK. It's perfect for 6 of us - grandparents, parents, 2 boys. The cove is calm and quiet, sunsets are amazing!

This is the perfect place for a visit to PK Lake or as a rental for families with kids playing at Rocker B Ranch. Our family rented this house when our son played at the Rocker B Ranch baseball tournament. The location was perfect and despite extremely warm temperatures, there always seemed to be a nice breeze on the deck. Not to mention the great views while having morning coffee or watching the sunset on the comfy deck rockers. Laura was a great host and so helpful on making local recommendations. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay on the lake.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Laura’s Lakehouse. Laura was an excellent host and very responsive to our questions. The house was beautiful and clean and very spacious for our family of 5. The kids loved the cornhole game outside and riding the surfboards in the lake! My husband and I felt totally relaxed and peaceful enjoying the breeze on the outside porch. Really beautiful house and beautiful view! We hope to be back again soon!

This was our 2nd time staying at this house because we had such a great time the first time. The location is amazing, 2 sides face the lake with wrap around porch on both sides, extremely comfortable beds, and so many things to do during the day. And the owners “The Mayo’s” are such genuinely nice people that you feel it throughout your stay. We will no doubt be back again.

This was the cleanest most well kept property I’ve ever rented! The kitchen, bathrooms and overall condition had been updated and is well maintained. And the beds! Once I laid down I don’t think I moved till morning 😊. We enjoyed watching the geese and deer that were daily guests and the view was beautiful. Overall this place gets a 5 🌟from us!

My husband and I stayed while we were looking for property. Was a great place! Beds were so comfortable, very clean, had everything we needed. Sunsets were amazing no better view then from this cabin. Owners were so accommodating. Recommend this place ~ Susan

This house is absolutely perfect for our family getaways. Everything from the big, peaceful wraparound porch to the boats idling by, beautiful sunsets, big grassy yard, water toys, quiet neighborhood, and super comfortable beds, this house gives it all. We enjoyed our first stay so much that we are returning again this year. We highly recommend this house for families of all ages. There is something to do for everyone and it’s close to restaurants if you need to drive into town real quick. 5 stars all day for this house!

I totally loved it!

Sunset point is a beautiful property. The porch is perfectly situated for all to enjoy a most spectacular sunset! The house is clean and comfortable and has all the necessities. The closet full of games, books, and puzzles kept us entertained while we were inside and the canoe and paddle boards outside were fun for my 14 year-old daughter, my husband, and me. I hope to return to PK one day and would love the chance to stay here again. Thank you.

Beautiful location on the water, large porches/deck for outside time, lots of water activities (paddle boards, canoe, etc) and lawn toys (bags), and books, toys, movies for inside entertainment. The view is amazing. Definitely a do-over next year!

We had a wonderful time. What a beautiful location. Everything was as described and great communication. Perfect for a family getaway. We spent early mornings drinking coffee on the porch and watching the birds. Beautiful sunsets. The kids enjoyed the water. Would love to come again.

I can not recall any vacation being so thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable. Sunset Point was like taking a trip back to simpler, quieter times. The property comes just as advertised - clean, warm, comfortable, and inviting - but the panoramic view of lake is wildly understated. The lakehouse, with it's wrap-around porch, is situated in a way as to provide a full southern and westward view of the lake. Most waterfront properties only provides a one-directional view. In addition, I was not expecting all the wildlife that came to visit while we were there. The new goslings had recently hatched and provided my wife and me with hours of enjoyment watching the new families come and go to feed under the mulberry trees. From jumping fish at dawn to herons walking the shoreline at dusk, this vacation spot was a true delight of nature. I took several lengthy videos there so I can playback the sights & sounds of our trip now that I'm back in the noisy city. If you're thinking about Possum Kingdom Lake as a vacation destination, Sunset Point is the perfect place to stay! I can't wait to go back!

This was a very clean and cozy house. The location can’t be beat. It was beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed all the bird viewing from the front porch. Laura the owner was very nice an quick to respond with any issues or concerns.

Wonderful location (right on the water yet close to the local Trading Post), stocked full with games and sports equipment, everything you will need for a getaway vacation. Hope to return.

Will for sure come back to stay!

This was the classic lake cottage, reminds me of the lake cottages in the Great Lakes area I've stayed in. Well decorated, modern, well furnished with everything we needed. The view is amazing, loved drinking coffee on the back porch in the morning, and a glass of wine at sunset! We had fun with the cornhole game until it was too dark to see. The only thing that would have added to the experience would have been a small dock/pier to fish from. 17 year old kid would have loved a place to sit and fish. But still an awesome place and we had a great time. We would definitely stay here again if we return to PK lake.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay at for our getaway to Possum Kingdom Lake! The location gave us amazing sunset views from the house and while on the water. It's setting was romantic and private, and the SUPs were an added bonus since we only have 2 and the kids each brought a friend! It was away from the heavy boating areas so we were all able to peacefully lounge and paddle in the water day and night. Thank you for sharing such an amazing home that gave us all memories for a lifetime!

This house was just what we needed! It was quiet and beautiful! The sunsets! The wildlife! The views! Enough room for us. Owners had a canoe and paddle boards that were awesome. Amazing porch! Can’t wait to visit sunset point again.

It’s a beautiful home, surrounded of windows, with a beautiful view. Our stay was short but comfy.

We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again. It was out first to pk. Our favorite part of the house was the beautiful porch where we spent a lot of our time at. Sunsets were beautiful. The owner had a canoe that we were able to borrow, our kids really enjoyed it. Clean home, comfy beds, everything was great. Definitely recommend staying at Sunset Point.
