The property was great for the short time me and my family stayed there. Close to all kinds of restaurants and to La Jolla Beach. My niece had her wedding at the pier and reception on the field near the beach. Overall a nice to stay. One spider freaked out my daughter, but she is afraid of spiders and she is 32 years old. We had a relaxing and fun visit. The rental is clean, quiet and well outfitted. It is a short walk from restaurants and the beach. Marilyn is helpful and responsive.

This property met all our needs, clean, quiet and close to the beach. We liked the brightness of the home and it was appointed very nicely. The manager was very responsive to any needs we had. The kitchen had most everything we needed from dish towels to cookware. My only request would be to replace the mattresses although the bedding was excellent. We have stayed at 4 places in La Jolla shores and this was the nicest, we really enjoyed it!

Spent two weeks here with the family. Absolutely wonderful. The home is clean, comfortable, beautifully renovated and close to all we wanted to do at The Shores. It’s quiet. Beds were so comfortable. We were a family of four and the layout was perfect for gathering and also for privacy. Has everything you would need. The hosts were attentive and immediately responded to questions and genuinely wanted us to have a great experience, which we did. We hope we can stay here again just a terrific place.

We have been staying here in July to escape Arizona heat for several years now. We always love our stay. It is an excellent location near lots of food options within walking distance. The cottage is immaculate and perfect for our family. Wish we could stay longer.

Wonderful property and perfect location!

This location was really a perfect match for us. 2 couples visiting for a week. The VRBO posting about the location was real and true. We really liked the minimal and balanced decor. The courtyard is such a plus with its fire pit. There is an interior gas fireplace that served us as though it was sunny, it was cooler than we imagined. The place was brand new clean. The extra unexpected plus was the location near some great eateries and shops and a short walk to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and could see returning another time for maybe a bit longer! Thanks to Marilyn and Greg…you know the business of being good hosts.

A lovely property that we enjoyed as a family with 2 kids under 5. Spotless and well appointed with a great layout. We especially loved the zen of the back courtyard. And all set in a great neighborhood and walkable to the beach, restaurants and shops. We hope to stay here again soon.

The unit has all the amenities needed and is located only two blocks from the beach. Greg and Marilyn were extremely responsive and helped make our stay that much more enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was immaculate and all amenities provided. Perfect size for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). Location is amazing- so close to the beach, great restaurants and coffee shops. Owners were excellent at communicating and making sure we were happy. This is a definite "stay again" property for us!

We had an amazing stay at this modern beach cottage in La Jolla Shores. Great location, walkable to restaurants, ice cream shops and the beach. Host was very responsive from start to finish. The cottage is cutely decorated and perfectly clean. It is stocked with all items you might need including beach chairs and boogie boards. 2 patios and amazing during the day and lit up at night. Thanks for sharing your great place with us! We will be back!

Another great trip!

We had an incredible time at the cottage! Property was exactly as described, in an amazing location where we could walk to all the great things to do in the area. Backyard fire pit was fantastic at the end of a long vacation day. Will definitely be back next time we’re in San Diego!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage very much. We have stayed on both sides of the cottage and honestly can’t decide which we like more—both are great. The accommodations are just what we need for ourselves and our two teenagers (now 14/17) to be comfortable for a week at the beach. Everything you could need to cook simple (or more complex if you desire) meals is ready for you in the kitchen. Pots, pans, coffee maker and toaster—even a blender. Plenty of utensils for cooking as well. The laundry is located in the kitchen which is convenient. The bathrooms are nice: the primary bath is a little dated and the hall bath has been renovated. Plenty of sparkling white towels are available and we never ran out of hot water. The bedrooms are comfortable and there is plenty of closet space—and plenty of hangers are provided. The AC is controlled with a Nest and keeps the cottage nice and cool. We often turned it off and left the patio doors open to enjoy the refreshing La Jolla breeze; however, we stayed in July which does have some warmer days, so in my opinion AC is a must for comfort. Speaking of the patio; this is our favorite part of the cottage! Both bedrooms open to the patio which is beautifully landscaped and has ambiance lighting and wonderful relaxing water features. It also has a fire fit to gather around and a grill for burger night. Super high walls make the patio very private and quiet. The hosts are awesome and responded within seconds to a minor question had when we arrived. The cottage was very clean and as I mentioned well stocked. Thank you for another great summer in LJ!

A really great home! Clean, great location, and very helpful and responsive host. Amenities were great. Felt very safe and secure. Location a few minutes walk from the beach. Nice restaurants and coffee shops across the street. Would stay here again!

Our second stay in the twin/sister cottages (now been in both). Wonderful cottage with a very private patio to dine, and another separate larger patio accessible from all the rooms with chaise lounges, firepit, BBQ and sitting area. A hummingbird's delight. Tasteful and whimsical decorating both inside and out. Well equipped and furnished, very clean and quiet. Steps to beach, coffee, restaurants. Enjoy!

Everything about this cottage was perfect - the indoor and outdoor layout, the amenities, the location and Marilyn, the host, were all top class. As a family of 4 we really enjoyed the separate internal and external living areas, we loved wandering through La Jolla Shores to the beach and we loved the many great restaurants within a few minutes walk. Most of all we loved returning to the peace and privacy of the pretty walled yard with its water features and fire pit. This was our second attempt at booking the property and Marilyn was a most generous host. If you're planning a stay in the La Jolla area, don't look any further than here. We really did not want to leave!

Excellent location in La Jolla Shores! Very short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Surprising seclusion in this home, and gorgeous outdoor spaces. The water feature felt very spa-like. Garage parking appreciated. Such thoughtful attention to detail inside the home. I can be a tough critic, but took notes here for my own rental home. Would love to come back ASAP. We were here for our son’s wedding. This place was so clean and comfortable. It’s two blocks off the beach so we walked on the beach every morning. It had everything we needed. We will likely return!

We had a fantastic stay at this La Jolla Shores cottage. There was some minor confusion at check in, which Greg and Marilyn handled very promptly. The cottage is very clean and well furnished. The beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect, just a few minutes from the beach and some great restaurants. We enjoyed taking walks around La Jolla and watching sunsets from the beach. La Jolla Shores beach was perfect for boogie boarding. We look forward to going back!

What a wonderful stay at this sweet La Jolla cottage! It was super clean, very comfortable and a true joy. The two outdoor patio spaces served as extra living space and the proximity to everything made it so easy for our 8 & 12 year old kids to come and go. The landlord was quick to respond and was very accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again!!
