Staff were super nice. The rooftop was a plus and the WiFi worked decently in the room. Surprisingly hot water.

Quite possibly the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Bed springs were digging into my back the entire night. For $60 a night you can at least get a mattress topper. The room also smelt awful. It definitely wasn’t worth the $60ish that I paid. The only reason I’m not leaving a lower score is because the people working there were very nice.

Good location, nice atmosphere within the hostel. The price is definitely what makes it a great option. The kitchen is nicely equipped.

The bathrooms are old and obsolete, not very welcoming at all. It goes the same with the beds.

A/C is on all day long

They had bed bugs the night before I arrived. Roomed smelled of chemicals, but they showed and explained before check-in. When I left 4 days later I still found live bugs and head lots of bites (could be mosquito, don't know). There is only one socket with power outlets for the whole room. Beds are completely shaky Ventilators in kitchen and common areas do not work, it's really hot and humid there. Only three of four flames work for cooking. Knives are more for squishing than cutting, panhandles are completely loose. Downstairs shower heads are mounted at neck hight. Staff prefers to put mood dampening comments in common areas instead of moving a finger.

So, when we arrived we was told there was a charge for paying by card and that the card machine wasn't working. Ok so we asked if we could take our stuff to the room and pay later that day. No. We was basically frog marched to a cash machine before we could enter the hostel any further. Anyway, room was basic but did have a fridge and air con. Showers were gross mould everywhere and didn't look like it had been cleaned, ever. Did some laundry here, it got lost but they did eventually find it. Hostel is cheap but not cheerful

The hostel is located on a quiet neighborhood in the northern part of Bocas Town. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn' t use the kitchen so I can' t comment on that area.

No pool and hailing a cab was a little difficult because most cabs were filled with passengers.
