Mauro and wife were very nice, engaging and accommodating to us. House and yard space were spacious and nicely appointed and they responded pleasantly to the few requests we made. For instance, we knew we would need a stroller for our 4 year old and Mauro promptly secured one for us for the week and it was waiting at the house for our use. Our 4 grandkids absolutely loved the pool and outside space. One suggestion that we felt we would have enjoyed , first of all, was a printed and laminated list of operating instructions for use of key items in the house. Secondly, we would have liked another list of helpful hints of area suggestions for restaurants, local places to drive to and see, modes of transportation, phone numbers, and timetables for trains or buses to Lisbon, day trips by car and any “ should see” sights we should see. We would highly recommend this house for anyone with a large family as we were 10 people and were all very comfortable there.

We had a great week's vacation with 3 families (6 adults and 7 children). The villa is spacious and very well equipped (outside BarBQ, crockery, glassware, cutlery, bedrooms for children ...). The swimming pool is heated. The house is very well located (close to beaches, golfs, sintra, lisbon) with several shops nearby. Mauro was a great host and gave us great tips for our stay (restaurants ...). Thank Mauro. We loved it and would return.

The house and what it offered was more than expected with lots of room for a larger party and excellent garden, pool and outside BarBQ and associated facility. Very well maintained with exceedingly well stocked crockery, glassware, cutlery and kitchen equipment. Wood thoroughly recommend to any larger group. Mauro was very helpful and called in to offer help and fixed the one minor appliance that needed some attention within a very short period of time. Family loved it and would return.

Mauro was a great host, villa had several outdoor seating areas. It was very well equipped, we particularly liked the bbq and proper pizza oven, best home cooked pizzas ever. Thank you for a lovely week.

We were a group of 13- 6 adults, 5 kids aged 11 to 3 and 2 Grandmas. The villa was perfect. We spent most of the time either in the pool, garden or outside dining area. House was pristine and very well equipped. Mauro and his wife were very helpful and accommodating. Hope to be back again soon!

Mauro was excellent to deal with, very accommodating and flexible as we were a large group with different needs. The house is one of the best we have stayed in, everything is thought of from beach towels to stocked bar. The out door area and pool are top class, great for large groups. Would have no problems recommending Mauros villa, and we would definitely return if travelling back to the area.

We are just back from a wonderful 2 weeks in this property. We were a group of 6 adults and 7 children and this house had everything to suit young and older alike. The house is very well equipped, maintained and is spotlessly clean throughout. It is cool during the day and great air conditioning in the bedrooms for a comfortable night's sleep. The pool is large and heated. The garden and outdoor surrounds are amazing and beautifully kept. We enjoyed a few great BBQs and the owners have all the equipment to cook anything you want on this facility. We also made great use of the games room on the top floor and appreciated the many fridges located around the house! The house is in a perfect location - a short drive to gorgeous Cascais and a very manageable 30 minute drive to Lisbon . It is a short taxi hop to Sintra (I do not recommend driving) and is close to some wonderful beaches (Guincho is particularly stunning) and natural beauty spots. Only two very minor suggestions to improve - the beds could do with more pillows and for our number of people we could have done with an additional laundry drying stand or washing line for outdoors. But overall a wonderful stay and we would like to thank Mauro and his wife for their hospitality and responsiveness. We will be back someday!

A short taxi ride from central Cascais, this was a great location to be able to explore the region. The house was very clean and the garden was immaculately kept. The swimming pool was huge and had a fantastic outdoor area next to it with a very impressive brick barbecue. Mauro, the owner, even provided the charcoal for us! We really hope to return next year!

We had a wonderful time in Mauro's villa. It had a great pool and large garden, a tree house for the kids to play in and he even provided us with inflatables fo the kids. The inside of the villa was large and cool for the extreme temperatures we encountered with all the amenities we could have wished for.

A group of 9 friends from Canada and the UK (4 couples in their 60's and 1 woman aged 27), stayed at this property for one week in May 2018. We were welcomed by Mauro and Mariluci (the owners) on our arrival and shown extensively around the property. They had promptly answered all of our questions that we emailed to them prior to arrival. Their home is even nicer than the photos can show. It is immaculate and the location is convenient. It is a perfect property for families or couples. Our favourite place to gather and relax was in the outdoor areas after a wonderful day of sightseeing or enjoying sporting activities. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need for a great stay. Unfortunately, after a wonderful week, one woman in our group took ill on the way to the airport when leaving and needed to stay and be hospitalized in Cascais for several days. When Mauro heard this, even though we had already checked out, he immediately went to the hospital to offer help to the couple who needed to remain in Portugal. You will not find more genuine caring hosts. Thanks Mauro and Mariluci for making our holiday so special and for all of your kindness! We hope to return to Portugal and your beautiful home some day. My family and I rent a home every year and this house was the best! Everything you could possibly need or want was already there, from wine glasses to plates to cooking equipment, it was all there. The house is in beautiful condition, the beds are great (the pillows could be better) and the pool was an everyday treat. We look forward to another trip to Portugal and we will stay in this house again for sure. The owners are great people to deal with, made or time there perfect.

The house si amazing, the swimming pool si huge, the garden really nice , clean . Se loved the outdoor kitchen with all amenities ( fridge, barbecue, freezer) you can enjoy all your meals outside. Toilets an shower outsider near the swimming pool are also usefull. The house ils clean , all rooms are bigs. Above that The owners are very nice . For sûre if i need to rent a house un Cascais, i will come back in this house

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in this spacious, well-equipped villa. We were a group of 6 adults and had ample room to lose ourselves in. The games room on the top floor, with table football and a snooker/pool table, provided an excellent play area for us, with bar and fridge. The pool is well maintained, clean, big enough and deep enough for exercise and to enjoy. The garden is beautiful, again well-maintained and made the perfect surrounding. Our favourite area was the outdoor kitchen. Mauro must love his barbecue cooking as it has everything you could possibly need to cook anything from steaks to a whole chicken, leg of lamb, sardines, etc. The villa is very clean and well-equipped. Bed linen and towels were provided and the villa was cleaned mid-stay. A gated property that felt safe and secure and like home. We thought it was just too far to walk back from Cascais after a night out but taxis were plentiful and cost around €6. We walked down to Guincho beach on a few occasions which took half an hour. While we were there we visited Lisbon, Sintra and the surrounding area, Pena Palace, played golf at some wonderful golf courses and one of our party, who is a keen cyclist, went out nearly every day on his bike (that he brought with him). My husband strutted around the villa as if he owned the place ... if only he did! ; ) We loved our stay and would thoroughly recommend this home from home. Our thanks to Mauro and his wife for being there if we needed them (but we didn't).

Mauro was very helpful before and during our stay. The pool was enjoyed by everyone. The children in our group had lots of space to play. The location is perfect, less than 10 minutes from cascais. I would recommend this property to anyone and would love to return.

The property is fantastic and the owners are great to deal with. 3 stories, with lots of space inside and outside the house. The pool, bbq area and game room are a great bonus! I look forward to returning to Cascais and will definitely seek to stay at this property again.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in this wonderful house. We being my 2 daughters, their husbands and my 5 grandchildren from 11 years to 4. A big house with loads of room for the 10 of us and many quiet corners to escape into. But most of our time was spent outside in the lovely garden, in the large pool (a true winner with all 5 children and adults alike!) and preparing meals in the outside kitchen/eating area. Al fresco dining taken to the extreme - perfect. A big plus were the electronically controlled gates which offered optimum security and privacy with small children running around. Mauro and his wife were very friendly and helpful and we wanted for nothing. Thank you so much again Mauro for that amazing barbecue “South American style” you kindly prepared for us – the best ever – won’t forget it and the tip with the special salt has been noted. We made two trips into Lisbon and as we had to gear so much to the young ones, I vowed to return to enjoy a more cultural taste of this beautiful city. Nearby (10minutes) Guincho beach is very picturesque but windy and a pity you are not able to swim there because of strong currents and waves but great for aspiring surfers. Local beaches in and around Cascais were more suitable for smaller members of our group. But invariably it was afternoons in the pool with the large inflatables which Mauro had provided for the children. (another big hit!). There are plenty of good restaurants in Cascais and surrounding area and food shopping was easy in the local supermarkets or markets round about. All in all a great holiday in a beautiful house and an interesting area to discover and take home memories of. I would thoroughly recommend Mauro's house. Linda C.

On your arrival, Mauro and his wife are friendly hosts and will give you a good guide to the area and will explain the Villas facilities. The Villa is well constructed, with marble throughout and is spacious over 3 floors. It and the grounds, are kept in a good state of repair and are very clean. If you are on a two week stay, as we were, Mauro and his wife will come once a week to change the linen, and maintain the pool and garden. The Villa is located on the North West side of Cascais, on a spacious site with covered parking on the secure gated Villa site, which is located in a residential area, with restaurants within walking distance. It is on the road to Guincho beach which is about 5 minutes drive away. Our kids aged 14, 12 and 10 loved going to the beach for surfing at the Moana Surf School (located at the more relaxed north end of the beach) and then returning to vent their remaining energy in the good pool at the Villa! The Lidl supermarket was about 5 minutes drive away. It was also easy to get to Sintra and Lisbon via the good road network which is again 5 minutes drive away. Mauro and his wife built the Villa with entertainment in mind !! - on the top third floor the kids loved using the full size pool/snooker table at night and other games room equipment. The outdoor barbecue area is purpose built and you will spend a lot of your time in that area which is located beside the pool. Mauro is Brazilian by birth, hence his attention to making sure he has provided you with the best facilities for making your own Brazilian barbecues!! He will enthusiastically explain how you should use these facilities on the handover and has all the implements. Enjoy your cooking! The villa offers a retreat from the busier Cascais centre which is about 5 to 10 minutes drive away, with many restaurants, including those on the shore road round to Guincho Beach. The Villa is excellent for a relaxing break with all your home comforts and wifi for the kids!! Enjoy your stay!

To sum up, I am very glad we (eleven friends) got the opportunity to spend an amazing week at this lovely villa. We had such a blast, obrigadas! Firstly, everything was tidy and clean when we arrived, there was a huge living room, tons of bathrooms, a refreshing pool with sunbeds and even the possibility to build your own barbecue. Moreover there was plenty of decent cutlery and tools to prepare our own food and drinks, which was definitely a plus. Besides, supermarkets are pretty close (15 min walking) and by taxi you are able to reach the center easily. Without doubts, I can say that Cascais and especially this place is must-stay. Also the owner and his wife are very kind and more than helpful, so please do not hesitate to contact them. Once again, we really enjoyed our holidays, thank you Mauro!
