Little owl was a cute little place for our fall getaway. Beautiful views and close to a lot of trails. Only 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Looking forward to our next adventure there

This cabin was the perfect getaway for our elopement / vacation. Such a cute and well-maintained home!

The short version. Dust and dog hair everywhere. Everywhere. In her defense, she offered to send cleaner right over, at our convenience. That was laudable. I said we had already cleaned. We hadn’t. We were just leaving. More to come, on our time. And in our time. Stay somewhere else. Maybe all these good reviews came when they used to care about this place. Maybe they need new cleaning. What was their problem became our problem. Look under the Little Owl reviews and you’ll see more Little Bear reviews. My husband will be back on when we do post, with all his pictures. “They” are right. As a former journalist, I know, a picture is worth a thousand words. We can back our words up.

Great spot! Even better that they allowed our dogs. 💙 Comfortable easy location to everything. Easy check in and out. Hope was very responsive and a great host. We loved the fire pit and view. And of course the hot tub.

The cabin was very cute, perfect for two people. Location was great, hosts were very responsive. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. Only complaint was the mattress, Very Uncomfortable....Needs to be replaced.

We were very excited for our stay since we try to go up to the ADKs yearly & this year we could bring our pups along with us. The house was fine, as long as you weren’t stuck inside. We were also hoping for privacy which there was not. There’s a house literally right next to you and we could hear them all weekend, and it’s very close to the road. Pros: -shelter & amenities -close to town (Wilmington) & only 30 mins from lake placid - allows dogs -hot tub - good communication Cons: - very close to other people & road(not advertised) - hot tub was dirty inside - the door knobs weren’t dog friendly, my dog was able to open the door to the outside very easily just by hitting the knob - firepit is in the front when there’s more privacy in the back - very tiny, it was cramped with just the 2 of us and our pups - expensive for what it’s worth - on a very busy / fast road

Family of four for a summer stay, the location was perfect. Close to whiteface and a quick 22 minute drive to lake placid. Wilmington beach is cute and loved the chocolate shop on the corner. My kids named it “the owl house” and gave a name to each owl!

Cabin was very cute and clean. Plenty of towels to use. This was my second time booking here because I loved it so much. I have no doubt there will be a third!

We had an incredible stay at the Owl Lodge. Our dogs loved it and so did our son. Beautiful cabin, amazing location and incredible yard. We look forward to coming back in the fall.

Really convenient to ski resort. Felt cozy despite single digit temperatures. Close to restaurants. Gorgeous views.

Another great stay at this cabin! Homeowners are friendly and responsive, and the property has all you need and more. Despite some VERY cold temperatures at the beginning of our stay, we were toasty warm inside. Once it warmed up a little we were able to use the hot tub and hike nearby. Great location.

Apartment was in a good location easy access and close to shops and beach

Clean and charming little chalet, with gorgeous views of Whiteface, particularly from second story. Very comfortable.

She let us come earlier due to a snowstorm and was very easy to communicate with. Cute cozy place.

Property was ideal for me and my husband. Close to mountain biking,kayaking ,and hiking trails. And we could bring our dog! Everything we hoped for. We are looking forward to a return trip!

We loved the location and the cute cabin. The owls and wood carvings were beautiful. The cute touch of the owl shaped chocolate was also appreciated! The furniture (couch and bedding) were worn and uncomfortable and the hot tub has seen better days. We did use the hot tub though and enjoyed it and the mountain views were so beautiful. We enjoyed all the many hikes around the area - so this cabin was a great location for outdoor fun.

We had a wonderful stay. They host actually provided a lot of items I brought from home. For example, laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and trash bags. Everything was quite perfect for some much needed wireless family time.

We loved staying in Wilmington and enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings. Gorgeous hikes and great restaurants are all very close and it was wonderful to have a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day! Enjoyed many mornings taking in the view of the mountains from the balcony. We are hoping to be back soon!

Very much enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean and cute. The cabin was tucked into the woods a bit which made it secluded more. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, cozy cabin. There are beautiful views of whiteface mountain, a great fire pit, and a hot tub. Very close to everything you need but also is private. The host was quick to respond and is very knowledgeable about the area with good hikes, restaurants, and activities to do. I highly recommend this place!

This cute little cabin was great for what we were looking for with a great view from the hot tub. My only complaint was the bed needs to be replaced.

In Michigan, I have a hard time in the winter months even though I always played hockey and skied, etc. My birthday is mid Feb, so every year I try to plan a trip around that time so I have something to look forward to after the holidays. Normally it is a getaway to northern Michigan and it is a nice break. But this year for my 55th I wanted something a bit more. Booked 2 days of skiing at Whiteface and stayed here with girlfriend and 2 dogs. Couldn’t have been more happy. Nice place to stay, close to slopes and anything else needed. Great attention to detail overall. Very responsive and quick responses to questions by email. Very happy, we’re looking at returning again during the warmer months to see this beautiful area in the summer.

Very charming, cozy cottage in a great location for enjoying Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid area. Extremely clean and well appointed for a short stay. VERY small home for two adults and two children and all your “stuff”. Overall enjoyed our stay!
