Had a great time here with family. Listing was accurate. Reviews were accurate. Pool was a plus! Short drive to Cane Beach and The Landing. Accessible to various parts of the island for beaches, snorkeling, fishing, horseback riding, shopping. Rent a jeep. Spent a few days getting day passes at various resorts to get different experiences. Rented beach chairs during the week. Somewhat of a drive to grocery stores so get stocked up early. Don't forget to get lots of water. We cooked breakfast and some dinners here. Used the grill as well. Some guests liked the bedroom a/c but others felt it was unnecessary. Nice view of the ocean and lush greenery on the property. We used the pool a lot as well.

Stunning ocean view, lots of privacy, comfortable roomy accommodations. A vehicle is required.

We loved so many things about this house and the property it sits on. You truly have privacy and really feel comfortable rinsing off in the outdoor shower. We had brief visits from a 4' iguana, all sizes of hermit crabs, a couple kinds of little lizards, and peepers sang us to sleep. The inside of the house has great gathering areas with large couches and tables. The kitchen is well-supplied with utensils, pans, dishes, glasses etc., but you need to search through the cupboards to find everything. We used the grill outside multiple times. If you want a 5-star resort, this isn't for you. It's authentic island living with all the quirks that entails. The house manager is very responsive if you do have a question or problem, and the wifi was very reliable even when there were 7 of us using it at one time.

Great trip and vacation

Could handle all the bugs but the rats were a bit much

Super comfortable with room for all seven of us to spread out! Air conditioning in the bedrooms helped everyone sleep well (though my husband and I didn’t use it). The pool kept my children and niece occupied while I watched over them with a gorgeous view of Cane Bay. We made use of every inch of the property, eating fruit from the trees, throwing horseshoes, so many games of billiards, the grill. Plenty of bath and beach towels, a cooler for excursions, well equipped kitchen, outdoor showers for rinsing off the beach sand, washer/dryer, close to a variety of local eateries (from casual to fancy). And I can’t say enough about Chris, the house manager. He was promptly available and responsive for all our concerns. And I especially appreciate his detailed directions to the house, with pictures included because it may have been difficult to find otherwise since we arrived at night. Would recommend this place for any group, family or friends. An amazing place to bond and find quiet time too. We could come together to play games, watch movies, eat meals, or find private moments too.

A wonderful, unique house. The landscaping and pool are great. The house has washer / dryer, big fridge, and plenty of space. The house was nice for us because we love nature, but if you're expecting a polished resort, this is not your place. The road up the mountain requires a 4x4. The location is great for us as we like snorkeling / diving at Cane Bay and Davis Bay; however if you need a grocery store or go to either town (Fred or Christian) everything is 20 minutes away.

Great place and location

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The property is excellent and the location and views are hard to beat. It’s a nice place to just relax and unwind when not out exploring or doing island activities. The road getting up is rough but passable with most vehicles. Stop in and say hello to Miss Sylvie at the bottom of the hill for a cold drink. A couple of things we didn’t like...there were dishes in the washer when we arrived that appeared to have been sitting there for some time and had to be re-washed. There were very few towels in the bathrooms when we arrived. It took us a few days before we discovered a batch of damp towels in the dryer and had to re-wash them. The water ran out the day before we left so we couldn’t wash or flush toilets the last day. The general cleanliness of the house is typical for the island, but given the price point to stay here, needs some improvement. It seems like the attention to detail is lacking but that’s life on St Croix. Overall the property is lovely, warts and all. Just bring an island attitude and have fun!

We planned our vacation last minute, and were thrilled when we saw this property was available! This home, and vacation overall, was exactly what our family of six needed. We were looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat, close to water, and this place was just that. There was more than enough room for our family to relax, find quiet spots to study or work. The bedrooms were comfortable and fit our family's needs. We LOVED the outdoor shower in the master bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with everything one would need for a beach vacation (we did store most items in the refrigerator due to humidity and to keep any ants out of the sweet stuff). The pool was amazing. We packed a few inflatable toys (there were some at the home, too), which made it perfect for our kids to play and enjoy. The house is within walking distance to Cane Bay, a gorgeous beach, snorkel and diving hot spot. Overall, this home is the quintessential beach retreat and we'd absolutely, 100%, stay here again. Thank you, Sharon and Chris, both - I appreciated the great communication and meeting Chris prior to arriving at the house couldn't have worked out better. He graciously met us, drove us to the property, gave us a tour and pointed out things to note and of interest.

We visit the USVI every Spring Break and this was our first time on St. Croix (we usually stay on St. John). The property had everything we needed and the views were outstanding to say the least. The home itself is in need of a few improvements including new sliding doors (for security purposes) and water pressure in the showers. The 2nd Master Suite was the only bathroom with adequate water pressure. The pool was a lot of fun and the BBQ and pool table were good. Overall, the stay was as expected and we had a great time.

We absolutely loved our stay. This property was beyond gorgeous. Our children loved roaming the grounds every morning, playing pool and enjoyed swimming into the night. The main bedrooms were spacious, the house was full of natural light and the outdoor shower was extremely romantic. Chris, our host, left a few frozen water bottles in the fridge for us and it was the perfect treat after a long day of travel. Aside from the dirt road which actually wasn't as bad as we were anticipating, this is a 5 star property!

Beautiful property. Loved every moment of it. This little hideaway was exactly what we needed for our anniversary, alone time and calming scenery. Will most definitely stay here again. Maybe in the near future!!

Private, great pool, great house.

This trip was our first time to St. Croix. My husband & I usually put a lot of "stock" in reviews when purchasing anything online, so here is what we wish other reviewers would have told us about this property: The house sits quite a ways up a very rocky road. It's really beyond a "dirt" road in our opinion, it's full of pot-holes and rough terrain - you WILL NEED a 4-wheel / AWD vehicle to get up to the property without blowing out a tire. Most of the roads in St. Croix are rough. I will say that by the end of the trip we were "used to" going up and down the road to the house, but that still didn't stop me from gripping my door handle every time! Ha!! The house has a fairly nice layout: 2 master bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, on one "side" of the house, and 2 MUCH smaller bedrooms that share a bathroom on the other side of the house. The 2 smaller bedrooms are SMALL! We did not fully realize this just by looking at the pictures. One of the smaller bedrooms has a futon for a bed, which is very squeaky and sits pretty low to the ground. That "bed" can only hold 1 adult (barely) or 2 small children. The other small bedroom has a full size bed, but I doubt 2 adults could fit on it comfortably. The two master bedrooms, along with their bathrooms, are a very nice size. It is important to note that the main master's bathroom does not have an indoor shower. We were a little surprised about this, thinking that the outdoor shower was just a nice bonus. The outdoor shower IS THE SHOWER for that bedroom. When we first realized that, we were a little disappointed, but by the end of our trip, we were LOVING the outdoor shower. It is quite the experience, and VERY PRIVATE. So don't let the thought of an outdoor shower scare you away - you'll enjoy it, I promise. The swimming pool is a decent size, but we wish we would have know that there is NO SHALLOW END (except the stairs), so even my teenagers couldn't "play" in the pool, because they couldn't touch. This was really unfortunate, because that was one of the major reasons we booked this property. The pool is basically for doing laps or floating. The property is secluded with beautiful landscaping all around it (along with a VERY noisy rooster). The view of the ocean from the property is gorgeous! We would recommend bringing as much food as possible - The island is VERY EXPENSIVE! We can't say enough good things about Chris, the property manager. He was very kind and helpful.

Over all a great time in St Croix. The house was in a good central location. The views were amazing. The house was nice can use some updates. The house manager was great and very helpful.

Incredible property, feel like you staying in the jungle but with large views of the water. Only item was the mic to heat up food did not work. That’s the only item of concern.
