The beach & views were very beautiful. The landscaping and the setting is beautiful. Some parts of the resort are rundown and need maintenance.The restaurant had good food, especially the woodfired pizza. Prices were similar to the US. There is a language barrier if you don't t speak Spanish. The waterpark is nice however, you have to pay per person for the week. Unfortunately, for my daughter, the waterpark is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and only from 11 AM to 1 PM and then from 3 PM to 5 PM. The beach is Rocky, we tried walking out into the water from the shore and we got sea urchin needles in our feet. There is a pier with steps into a sandy area further away from the rocky beach. My daughter didn't like the steps because they were slimy from the ocean. We like to make drinks and take them & and snacks to the beach but they have a strict no cooler policy. We got tired of being yelled at for having a cooler. We even got reproved for having a cooler when we were not at the beach. We started taking our drinks and snacks in a backpack. The resort had no Wi-Fi. We were told that they were waiting for replacement parts from China & were having difficulty getting them. The owner of our condos had Wi-Fi from Verizon with very limited data, couldn't stream, it was slow, often disconnected, but we had email & web browsing. We originally reserved a two bedroom condo but due to a scheduling error it wasn’t available that week so they offered to substitute 2 studio rooms that were next-door to each other. We accepted this offer. However we didn't realize that the studio did not have laundry. We packed lightly because we were planning on doing laundry there. No laundry on site so I washed clothes in the sink. Both rooms had good air-conditioning, good shower and good kitchen, basic supplies in the kitchen, pots, pans etc. 1st unit, sliding glass doors to the balcony did not lock, it has two small refrigerators however, one did not work at all, the other barely worked, would not keep the ice frozen in the freezer. The toilet was constantly running, the screen to the balcony was tore out, one of the barstools was broken and the room was stinky when we arrived. My wife mopped the unit with Fabuloso, that helped, but the source was dirty bed linens left in the closet. The bottom trundel bed wasn't changed, sheets filled with sand. TV didnt work in the other room. I don't want maintenance in my room on my vacation, I want it right when I arrive

This was a great place to end our 2 weeks in the DR! Giancarlo was a great host, easy to get a hold of, and quick to respond! The Sea was lovely! Some smoothish rocks/coral to get past from the sand but if you go in off the dock it was perfect! Great for swimming, floating, and splashing around! Pretty calm waters, some gentle waves. Not sure if this is an effect of COVID (likely less people traveling than normal) but just a heads up to help manage expectations. The restaurant was open but had a limited menu and we never saw the swim-up bar open. (Our stay was Tuesday-Saturday) The menu still had enough options and the staff was great! They did clean up behind the swim-up bar while we were there so maybe it would be open soon?? And the waterpark, which was a selling point for us with our 7yr.old, wasn't open everyday. It did open on Thursday and was open the remainder of our stay till Saturday but was a bit of a disappointment in the beginning as that was a big reason for choosing this place. The location was great and easy to get into town for dinner and ice cream! And we also arranged a zipline tour from town which was really easy (Picked us up at our place) and a thrill for our kid! :) We truly enjoyed our stay here!

Cadaques Caribe is a perfect place for a family vacation! The community has an old world feel with plazas, beautiful beach, great pools and even a restaurant and mini mart. It was busy but never crowded. We were there over the holidays and yet we could always find beach lounges or pool chairs. There are many different areas to relax. The pier is also an enjoyable location. Our family enjoyed the many amenities such as the pool water slides and the inflatable one in the ocean. You don't have to leave the area! There were even beach soccer, volley ball and a nice childrens play area. Our owner Giancarlo was wonderful to work with. We had never been to the Dominican Republic and I must have asked him 100 questions and he answered every one patiently and promptly. The location of this unit is perfect. It is close to everything and yet very tranquil. The balcony has a beautiful view and we enjoyed eating and relaxing there. You can tell he takes pride in his property as things such as linens and cookware were nice. It was very clean and his manager Wendy was there as promised. We had 3 generations enjoying this area and would recommend it highly. Our grandchildren enjoyed a horseback ride on the beach arranged onsite and we enjoyed walking into the adjacent national park. We didn't rent a car but found taxi into Bayahibe easy for an evening.

modern apartment complete with all comforts in the context of the beautiful cadaques resort. A few steps from the beach and restaurant and near the swimming pools, ideal apartment for couples, friends and family Perfect for relaxing holidays but also close to many tourist places easily accessible by car or scooter I will definitely return here.
