I don't think the pictures do the house justice. There are two "grand rooms" (1) on the lower level walking in from the back yard had a large livingroom / Kitchen / Diningroom set up. It provided plenty of space and we were in and out around the firepit and patio table and chairs right outside. then there was a second floor gathering space that was very large with two tables and livingroom seating area and I nice wet bar area with mini fridge. this was upstairs which you can then walk out to the upper deck which has a large out door patio table and chairs as well as a number of lounge chairs on the deck. Fabulous space for large groups to gather. All together, there were 14 adults hanging together / eating together / playing games together and no one felt crowded at all. We had 5 couples stay at the house which provided us all private bedrooms and baths. There was another bedroom with bunkbeds but we did not use that or any of the pull out couches in the living room space, so I cannot speak to that. The view was spectacular from the deck - Sunrise was stunning!!! Location was great, lots of great local bars, shopping, restaurants. We went the first week in Nov. so much quieter than during busy season but the weather was gorgeous. The management company we dealt with was great, answered all my prep questions ahead of arriving giving me the guidance I needed to prepare.

When I reached out about the home I was told it was an older home but very nice and remodeled. I wish I could post pictures of how dirty the home was. Ceiling fans, air vents, window blinds, floors, corners, behind toilets and sink were so so dirty. Things that should be cleaned after every rental should be addressed by the house keeping. We brought it to their attention and they could only apologize. They did send someone out to clean the grill. The TVs did not work in any room. There needs to be instructions on how to operate the Roku/Spectrum system. Maintenance came out Wednesday afternoon to pull cords, find where cords plug in and pull things from other rooms to be successful at getting three of the TVs working. The home should be thoroughly cleaned after every rental. I was going to bring my Mother-in-law down but she fell ill. I am actually glad she was not able to go because of the cleanliness and condition of the home. I truly hope the owners take this review to heart. It’s sad the rental company had to apologize so much for things the owners could address. The home is convenient to the beach. But the convenience doesn’t make up for the down falls!

Property was well located. The screws are rusted and the deck uneven but such as to be expected beachfront and sun baked. Quite little street good access to the beach plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The upstairs living room is immaculate and the view from the top deck breathtaking. All in all I'd say a good little house just keep an eye out for those rusted metal pieces sticking out coming up the stairs to the porch.

This was perfect for our large family. The location was on point! Thanks for hosting us!

Hazels child beach house is the first Beach home I’ve ever booked and it didn’t disappoint! The description is as it said . Home was clean and it accommodated our family perfectly ! Beach access was amazing and not overly crowded . Very convenient location for groceries & restaurants . We loved it so much we already booked this beach house for next year!

We loved our time and Hazel's child north! The weather was beautiful the house was immaculate and we just had a great time. The only thing I would suggest is that there are better instructions for the Roku tvs, which seem to be different in each room.

My children and grandchildren live scattered along the east coast and don't have nearly enough chance to spend time together, so finding this charming place right on the beach in North Myrtle Beach with room enough for all of us was such a blessing. In spite of Mother Nature bringing unusually cold weather, we had a very warm holiday together. The layout is perfect for a big group with space for everyone to gather in different activities or all together. Comfortable and welcoming. We need to do this again.

This was a lovely place. It is not new but they do not advertise it as so. The location was convenient. The common areas were great and the view is amazing. My family enjoyed.

Upon our arrival the first thing we see is all the dead cockroaches on the back patio. When we go into the house, we find it hasn’t been cleaned from the previous renters, and this was after 4:00 pm which is check in time. Nobody from the rental office informed us of anything until over an hour later by email after they were contacted by the cleaning staff that was cleaning the adjacent house. It was finally cleaned, if that’s what you want to call it. There are so many issues with this property that need addressed. Half of the light bulbs in the lights don’t work, the refrigerator leaks and was dirty inside, the inside of the cabinets are nasty dirty and have dead roaches, door knobs are wiggly, the pans they provide (even though description says stocked kitchen) all need replaced because they are disgusting, 2 of the toilets were wobbly which after I complained they did come fix, only 1 burner on the grill works, several light switch covers are pulled away from the wall, dirty walls and dead bugs everywhere, dirty bed covers. I complained about the roaches and was told that they are “palmetto bugs”….same thing as a roach. Who wants to stay with roaches???? Property description is so not accurate all all! Only good thing about this house was the location with being oceanfront.

The advertisement says Premium Upgrades, where? The floors were filthy. Internet connection was not good. Towels were stained. Roaches Refrigerator was leaking Spider webs all over outside downstairs furniture Pillow cases smelled The only thing nice was the beach.

The rental process was easy to navigate. The property was in a great location. We had more then enough room. We did find some trash left under furniture from previous guess.

Upon arrival: Trash and beer bottles in the parking lot. Upon entry: Door unsecured and open. Upon stay: No WiFi for main tv. Used our hotspots. Dead roaches, trash on bed, feces-filled clogged toilet, filthy stove and oven, scratched and unpainted walls. Dust and dirty baseboards. Dirty floors. Slobber and other stains on unchanged bed linens. Nasty laundry room. Flies flying in house during the entire stay. We couldn’t kill them fast enough. The cracks in the doors were how they kept getting in. Door knobs falling off of several doors. These are just a FEW of the issues!!! Dead flies and dirty window sills. Broken and rusted lounge chairs. Unclean refrigerator. Dirty unwiashed trash cans inside the house. Construction going on next door. Dirty bathrooms. Floors covered in sand and dirt. WE had to clean the place just to tolerate it! This experience ruined our vacation and will be remembered as the worst rental ever!!!! VRBO, I strongly suggest you cut ties with this company! They gave me a small refund that I was "lucky" to get, I guess. They offered me a free extra day in the roach haven. Ummmm…NO! I loved my previous beach house that I rented through you all by Seaside Vacations in the OBX, NC. However, this experience has me thinking. Hotels are looking so much better to me again. Please look into this matter, and make it right. It’s the right thing to do.

Love the location to the beach

We had both units Fri & Sat weekend in June. Given the high cost, we should not have had flimsy linens, no soap, broken AC in upstairs of 1 unit, and have to take the propane tank from the fire pit to have enough for the grills. Great location though and good furnishings.

I had an amazing stay here with my family I would recommend this place again because of all the room one of the best features of this property was that it was right on the beach and I didn’t have to go too far to find a good spot on the beach

The property itself was nice. When renting it claims to have a chef kitchen. There were no 9x13 pans, no big pans, no kitchen towels, no grater, measuring cups were unreadable and there were only 4 wine glasses. The bath towels were thin and we weren't provided extra. There were not sheets for the pull out couches. They did, however, bring once we called. There is a gas grill and fire pit but tanks were empty. We filled them, the next group can thank us! The parking was tough. It's listed to park four cars. Our fourth car barely fit when the other side was occupied. Getting in and out of the cars was NOT easy when parked as necessary. The upper deck was delightful! We enjoyed eating dinner up there. We would stay at this location again with hopes for a better stocked kitchen!

We loved the many bedrooms and baths that this property offered. The upstairs living area was adjacent to the uncovered deck and was a great place to enjoy spring sunshine and ocean views. The house was decorated beautifully with many updates. We have already rebooked for next year.

Super place to stay to enjoy Christmas with family who live in Little River. Would absolutely recommend and book again.

Family friendly options of rooms and bathrooms upstairs and downstairs were very efficient.

We had a wonderful time at Hazels Child. We rented both sides North and South and used one big house for 4 families and it was wonderful! We have pets as well and the house was perfect for such a large group. We were able to seat 15 for Thanksgiving just on one side and had both kithens for prepping food. Plenty of bathrooms and sleeping space. We were not crowded in the least. Natalie was incredible as she got back to us so quickly with any questions we had regarding the homes. This is our second time with this property management and both times have been wonderful! Location was perfect being right on the beach!! I definitely recommend for other families. Thank you Natalie and Ally for your help with everything.

Family and friends stayed in this house for my son’s wedding. Only problems were with flys and no working vacuum. The rooms and bathrooms were just what was needed. I chatted with some property peeps and am told they have renovation plans (anxious to follow this progress). I would definitely stay here again when the need arises with many relatives for vacation. The place was spacious, quiet, and close to the ocean. The view from upstairs was nice if only the windows weren't so nasty and dirty. I know it is pet- friendly But people who don't have pets or are allergic to pets this is not the place for you, soon as you walk in it smelled like Pinesol and dog. There was also white dog hairs all over the couches and chairs. Two of my family members had on black shirts after sitting in a chair there was white animal hairs all over the back of there clothes, ruined them. The wooden blinds were filthy along with all the windows. The upstairs bathroom appeared to have black mole in the ceiling. The price we paid for two nights was way too much for the inconvenience. If they get a new cleaning crew and do a more through cleaning I may return in the future because of the space..

First the view was beautiful! The large upstairs living room was great! Secondly the kitchen had all the gadgets needed to cook. Thirdly the beds were comfortable as were the pillows. But the furniture was deplorable. The three chairs upstairs need to be replaced! And there are only three parking spots for each rental unless every car is a Mini Cooper. The picture on your site leads the viewer to believe the rental is for the house. It is not. It’s only half the house. All in all it was a good week.

I just stayed at Hazels Child and it was perfect for our group. Excellent communication with the property manager. Very quiet part of the beach. Enjoy!!

Was supposed to have a king, 4 queen and 2 twin beds. Had 5 double and 2 twin. Very disappointing. The washing machine was terrible and an umbrella on the upper deck was needed. However, the locations and views can't be beat!

Please remember you are renting a beach house. This property is right on the beach. So yes, there will be sand. Just keep this in mind when reading other reviews complaining about the floors of the home. There is a broom and dust pan readily available and in order to keep the sand out of your bed you will have to sweep daily. We had a family reunion while here for the week and this property met all of our needs. The kids were thrilled. The dogs had room to play (and they are allowed on the beach before 9am and after 5pm). And all the adults had a great time. The house has 2 living rooms with tons of space upstairs for everyone to watch a movie and play games. The upstairs balcony allows for excellent views of the beach during the day and sunsets. The bedrooms were a decent size and there are as many bathrooms as bedrooms. Pros:Location. Not too much traffic but close to what you need. If you don’t want to be in the middle of Myrtle Beach but you still want some access this is ideal. Size meets expectations and is as described. Beach. The beach is wonderful and remains waist deep for quite a ways out. Made for ideal boogie boarding conditions for kids and adults when we wanted to get far enough out for the bigger waves. Seashell hunting here is at a premium. Property management very helpful. Call them. Cons:The furniture and house is dated and it’s use shows. The pull out couches were very uncomfortable to sleep on so we opted to sleep on the couch themselves when needed. We had some issues with the oven and stove top periodically not holding temperature. We called and they came immediately to take a look and unfortunately they couldn’t replicate the issue we were having. This is a home that is broken up into 2 units. In order for the other guests to get to their side they have to walk across this units “backyard”. Not a deal breaker by any means but we had to direct people to the other house a few times. Change in ownership during our stay was inconvenient but the property manager was very helpful. Wish the TVs were bigger and the internet was stronger. We had a difficult time trying to work while here. Bring a mobile hot spot if you absolutely have to work. What you need to know:There is a charcoal grill here. If you don’t feel comfortable using one you probably won’t like it. We rented a gas grill and it was fantastic. Highly recommend getting a grill you are comfortable with. Bring your own beach stuff!

Location was great, we had our own path to the beach with rinsing shower right at the end. Roomy and had plenty of space/rooms/bathrooms for our whole family. Slight issue with the washer but was fixed upon reporting to the property manager. No toiletries but that’s noted prior to renting so people shouldn’t be surprised. Could use a little bit more cleaning and vacuuming the couches; beds could also be more comfortable and kitchen supplies (pans/cooking utensils) could use some upgrading. Overall, this house is was what our family needed and everyone had a great time. Thank you to Natalie and Ally for being so accommodating and responsive.

Place was great ! Family loved it . Cozy Beach house. Moms 65th . She loved the view and all her children and grandchildren to be able to stay all together comfortably.

This house is just right on beach, very convenient to access beach. Kids enjoyed a lot. House was cleaned well when we arrived.

Overall, this place was in an excellent location. Easy access to the ocean & very spacious. We had a large group of 14 and this place accommodated everyone nicely, but parking is very limited (carpooling will best). Additionally, the home could use some upgrades (furniture, fixtures, etc). It is a little outdated compared to other rentals. It could have also been a little cleaner, but we always do an extra clean before we settle in anyway. Host was very easy to work with & check in was seamless.
