Great location on the channel which the kids enjoyed playing in. Docks were a bit in need of repair. A/C units worked great to cool the house- but very loud at night. Owner very responsive and friendly. Overall a great weekend getaway for the price.

The property is well equipped and on a quiet street. Check in was easy as well as checkout. Plenty of seating and comfy beds. Perfect for families with big kids or small.

The manager was so easy to communicate with, and came out several times when we had questions. Went above and beyond. Loved fishing out on the back deck and the lake was clean and great for swimming.

House was perfect for our family 4th holiday. The channel was fun to explore with our kayaks. The backyard and deck were wonderful for relaxing. And having access to the lake was a nice bonus. Wonderful and relaxing views. Owners were very responsive. Everything we hoped for and more!

Hi, This is the 3rd summer we have stayed at this cabin. My two boys call this their happy place. If you want a place to go with your family this is it! It is everything you need! We love this place!

We had a lot of fun visiting Magician lake at Turtle Cove house. The house and property were good overall. Being on the channel protected us from the wind and the backyard felt cozy and relaxing. Camp fire pit was nice and there was a good amount of adirondack chairs to sit on. We kept a boat and a jetski in the channel, but it looked pretty shallow in spots. The house was fairly clean, but there were some active spider webs in the kitchen and one of the air conditioners had a funny smell coming out of it. The owner was very responsive and answered questions quickly.

Turtle Cove was the perfect girls getaway for my sisters and me. We especially enjoyed the large back deck. The inside is very spacious and had everything we needed. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful time on our return trip!! Our boys had a great time fishing, swimming. and boating on the pontoon on Lake Magician! The cabin felt like our home away from home! Thank you Cynthia and Franz!

The property is in a nice location. It’s away from the business of the lake and sits in a nice quiet part of the channel. Our only complaint was the musty smell in the cabin. We diffused oils and used candles to cover it up!

This was quite an inconvenience. The cabin was also very musty smelling. We had to wash everything when we arrived back to our own home. A part of the floor was so soft due to moisture that we feared it might collapse.

We stayed at the cabin while we visited family. Due to a recent storm many trees had fallen, and we had a few technical issues with the property. The management immediately responded to our concerns.

Sister Lake is only 2 hours from Chicago, so it made for a nice, easy long weekend get away. The property was nice and clean. The back yard butted up against an offshoot of the lake, which provided gorgeous views for my morning coffee and reading. The swimming dock was just across the street from the house, making it easy to run back and forth when we wanted food/drinks/bathroom. Really the only complaint my group had was having to bring our own sheets, towels, and paper goods (like toilet paper and paper towels). This may be a holdover from covid, but if not, I’d change this policy. I’ve never been to a house rental that required that and it took so much extra room in the car having to pack those extra items.
