The accommodation suited our needs perfectly, it was located in a quiet street, 5 minutes walk from the beach, the apartment was clean, well maintained and spacious, should we return to Burgau we would stay there again.

This is a wonderful property in such a convenient central (yet surprisingly peaceful) location. The sun terrace outside the master bedroom is fabulous and private - a great space both to eat and to relax and read a book. Everything was in tip top condition and very clean. The bathrooms are stylish and well finished. The owners are super helpful and very friendly...we would definitely love to return! Thank you.

A wonderful house excellently located in the village. All facilities were better than expected and the upstairs bedroom and sun deck topped everything. Better than the photos!

The apartment is in easy walking distance to Burgau beach, and restaurants. This is, of course, very convenient although you have to live with hearing live music etc from time to time. The interior is spacious and has a modern design which we liked a lot. Kitchen etc is fully equipped. Michele was very helpful and responsiv.

No 9 is a great property in a great location to enjoy the delights of Burgau. Michele is very attentive & responsive & answered all our queries without delay. It benefits from 2 bathrooms which is ideal for couples sharing or a family. The terrace off the main bedroom is spacious, private & benefits from the sun until late into the afternoon. A small improvement idea could be to include a welcome pack of water, milk & bread rolls to get the holiday started. We had a great time & will definitely consider staying in No 9 again.

The apartment was lovely with a comfortable living space and small but workable kitchen area. The main bedroom is spacious and it was ideal having the terrace off the bedroom for a morning coffee with sea views. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus for us. It is in an excellent location at the top of Burgau village which has retained much of its charm as an original fishing village. An influx of surfers livened up the place when the waves were good. We enjoyed several meals in the fish restaurants and drinks in the few bars of the village. We hired a car from the airport and visited numerous places including Alvor, Lagos, Cabo St Vincent and Sagres. As avid walkers it was a great walk over cliffs and down to bays to get to Salema. We also walked across the cliff top to Praia de Luz a few times. The beach at Boca do Rio was fabulous despite not having any facilities there - this probably added to it's quiet appeal. We had a fantastic holiday and won't hesitate to return to the apartment at some point in the future.

For our first holiday in Portugal we chose this accommodiation because of the good reviews for Burgau and this apartment. Our expectations were not disappointed but exceeded. This apartment is actually a house. It is very spacious, clean, cosy and has everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. We loved the proximity to the beautiful beach an the original fishing village. It is very peaceful but not boring. Even our 9 and 12 years old boys could go anywhere alone. They loved the dolphins just outside Burgau and the many beach utensils we could use. We all agree that we definitely want to come back. Many thanks to Michele, who is a great hostess. We have now stayed in this apartment 3 times. It provides everything you need and is very clean and comfortable. Location is just a few minutes from the beach, restaurants and excellent Beach Bar. Brilliant customer service from the owners. Can't wait to visit again soon

We were wowed as soon as we walked into this lovely home. It's classed as an apartment technically but it's basically a house with an open plan and very spacious downstairs (far more so than the pictures suggest), twin room and family bathroom downstairs and upstairs bedroom with ensuite and balcony with sea views. What we liked: Everything just works! Huge pressurised hot water tank so you can run both showers at once, which is great when there are 4 of you who have just come off the beach! Lovely bathrooms, with great showers. Kitchen with everything you need to self cater. Big fridge. Beach gear to borrow. Washing machine. Just everything you need really. Firm but really comfy beds, especially the double upstairs. Lovely village. Burgau is what the Algarve should be. Not touristy but still plenty of places to eat, super little village shop, friendly, a delight to walk around in the evening. Location: in an unspoilt part of the Algarve with easy access to the very best beaches on the south and west (surf!) coasts. What we didn't like: Going home to the cold! Don't miss: Warm bread and pastries from the local shop in the mornings or the wine selection downstairs! The van selling fresh fish everyday, just round the corner The beaches - explore - there are so many Caves at Benagil and Praia Marinha nearby If you can book this place for your dates, I can't recommend it highly enough.

We are back from an 10-days-stay in this wonderful house. It is well equipped (sometimes more than expected) and has the best terrace in town. You can sit there windshielded with a wonderful view with your green wine. Everything (beach, restaurants, shops) are within a 5-min-walk. Thanks to the host Michele, who answered all of our questions within a day and provided us with useful information. We would like to come back!

The appartment is beautiful, spacious and everything was as described. The location is just perfect, a few minutes on foot to the beach, shops and restaurants. Michele and Malcom are perfect hosts, every question is quickly answered and there is a lot of helpful information in the appartment. It is lovingly furnished and feels just like home. We would definitely recommend it and will be back.

The apartment is well-located for shops and restaurants, in a quiet environment, not quite 5 minutes on foot to the beach. The apartment has everything you need, soap, toilet paper, bin bags... everything was provided for. When the shower head broke and we gave notice to the manager, it was repaired without any questions within the day. On top, there are games, DVDs and beach utensils, so you don't have to bring anything. Michele was really very helpful and friendly. We absolutely recommend the apartment, the handling is extremely professional - which we enjoyed a lot.

A great stay at this lovely apartment. Great to be able to hear the sea from the terrace. Village really peaceful in May although there are plenty of restaurants open in the evenings. Hope to return before too,long.

We have just returned from a 9 night stay in this fantastic apartment. Before we even booked the apartment the owner Michele was incredibly helpful and answered all of my many questions! We hired a car at the airport and found Burgau a good base for exploring further afield - we visited Lagos zoo and the Splash and Slide water park. Burgau is a lovely, unspoilt visit with a very family friendly feel. The apartment is in a great location for the local shops, restaurants and for the beach. The terrace is really peaceful and has amazing views out to sea. We found the apartment had everything you need with regard to utensils, etc for food preparation and also had plenty of bits and bobs for the beach (sun parasol, beach mats, buckets and spades etc) as well as a bank of DVDs, books and board games. If you get the chance to visit this property take it!!!!

Property was in a great location close to shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. Very spacious & well equipped. The roof terrace was lovely & the view amazing. The best apartment we have stayed in. Can't wait to return.

We had the most wonderful holiday in No 9 apartment was spotless just like home from home so convenient to beach, supermarket and restaurants. Burgau is a lovely little fishing village very unspoilt great restaurants, great walks and a beautiful beach. It's our fourth stay here and as usual a superb relaxing time. The house is always immaculate and being so close to the village facilities and the beach we simply love it.

This property is an absolute gem - more like a house than an apartment and centrally located for all amenities and the beach in Burgau. It is very spacious, clean and well maintained. The balcony overlooking the sea is an added bonus for leisurely breakfasts, etc, too. Burger was a revelation and we had fantastic food & wine whilst on our short break. The pizzas and house wine at Corso were excellent and economical; the sardines with spinach at Matias are highly recommended; the Stone Bass at the Burgau Beach Bar and the Golden Bream at Barraca were also delicious, as was the Monkfish cataplana at Esquine. The coastal walk to Luz and refreshment at Fabrica, and the coastal walk to Almadena and lunch at Cabana are also highly recommended. we loved where we stayed and Burgau, itself and hope to return.

We visit Burgau often,and always enjoy the village.Roof terrace enjoys the sun through till mid afternoon.Very peaceful location ,although remember Burgau not ideal for people with mobility issues. PLEASE MAKE RESERVATIONS IN RESTAURANTS,or you will be disappointed.!! Burgau beach bar ,Esquina, and best welcoming bar Pielas .
