We had a fantastic 9 days staying at Omia. We wanted somewhere quiet and unspoilt - relaxing and surrounded by nature. It was perfect. If you're looking for lots of nightlife, bars and ents, then this isn't the place for you. But if you want to see and feel the natural beauty of Sri Lanka, then Omia has it all. The staff are are brilliant - genuinely friendly and helpful. As is the owner, Barbara - who's also a mine of top tips and helpful local information. We'd also highly recommend having a massage on the the balcony of your bungalow.

One of the best holidays we had. Everything was great. The location is breathtaking, the staff is always ready to help you. The food at the restaurant is delicious. The owner is very kind and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. I highly recommend this place.

of all the places we have visited,this is the most beautiful, peaceful, perfect villa. The view from the room was so tremendous. Owners were very friendly and they prepared our requested room perfectly.Rooms, Service, View, foods, place, pool, atmosphere, peacefulness and Everything about this villa were so perfect. I would give 10/10 and definitely we will visit again.

Omia was the highlight of our trip along the Southern coast of Sri Lanka. It is a luxurious gem in a beautiful calm area - we liked it so much after our first stay that we changed our travel plans to go back and stay again! The layout of the grounds is wonderfully designed, with each guest cabin nestled in greenery, an open restaurant and chill out area with a view of the sea, hammocks dotted around, a great swimming pool and a short path leading directly to a very empty and beautiful beach. They have also taken a lot of care of the garden which is bursting with all sorts of bushes, flowers and trees (from which we got fresh coconuts every day!). The rooms themselves are also fantastic - very spacious, clean with a warm design. We took a sea view cabin and spent hours on the balcony enjoying the spectacular view. I also have to give a special mention to the chefs as the food was really great quality at a good price. I would definitely recommend thé Sri Lankan curry! Another very nice touch was the daily cakes (coconut, lemon, chocolate) which they made fresh nearly every day and served with ice cream. However, the thing that makes this place stand out the most is the people, the Omia team were a pleasure to be with. Everyone was friendly, helpful and made sure you started and ended everyday with a smile and a laugh. A big thank you to everyone at Omia for such a wonderful experience and we will be back!

This place is all about location. It's just simply stunning. Placed on the edge of the hills overlooking the Indian Ocean.Bangalows are very spacious and comfortable for families. Few steps down and bang a superb swimming pool and another few steps, and you are out on almost feel like a private beach. Staff and the owner is very friendly and accommodating with all the requests we've had, including hiring a tuk tuk.

Everything was superb.The only small complaint We could make is that there should be some more food veriaty and prices of food are slightly on a high end.

Amazing Appartment with sea view, wonderfull garden, nice pool, good food. We also appreciated the very kind and welcoming owner. We came with 2 small kids and we were warmly welcomed.

everything was perfect

It was our honeymoon trip and our previous hotel in Sri Lanka turned out to be very disappointing. So we had to find and book another hotel last minute. We found OMIA and that very day moved there. Everything, including transfer, was arranged at the highest level and we are very happy for this decision to move. The hotel staff is professional, helpful and friendly. The territory and bungalows are well cared of, very clean and nice. The hotel is located quite far from Tangalle town with its shops and cafes but it turned out to be an advantage — nights at these hotel are very quiet and calm in comparison with constant crazy noise of the town. We also enjoyed the hotel private entrance to the splendid and romantic beach. There are huge waves but you can get by tuk-tuk to the nearest beaches to swim or you can relax in the pool, it wasn’t a problem for us. Food at the hotel restaurant is a little bit pricey for this country, but we enjoyed it and portions are big.
