Loved our stay at Ruby Bach, perfect location, enjoyed sunset on the beach, great outdoor areas and plenty of kids entertainment. Will definitely be back.

Loved our time here. Struck a good balance between a nice place to stay and not so precious that we worried about sand ;-) loved the easy access to the beach and the outdoor decks. Well equipped with everything we needed. One issue - laundry power point trips so can’t wash or dry but I’m sure it’s an easy fix.

Nicola was very friendly and great on communication. Cute wee spot although tired in places. Very comfortable king bed.

Had such a lovely stay, the property was a lot bigger than the photos online which was a lovely surprise! Super clean and close to the beach, with all amenities needed. Great communication and would love to stay again :)

Great bach in an amazing location

Wow. Such a great weekend away with our family. Everything about the property was amazing. The kids loved it and was fully fenced and safe for all. We would love to come back again. The whole process was easy and communication was great. The only thing I would say is the nails in the deck need to be hammered down there was a few snagged toes. But over all beautiful. Wonderful location for a beach vacation.

We had such a great time at the bach. Beach is literally in your backyard and so much entertainment for the kids. Very clean too.Communication was great too and was very nice of Nicola to let us in early due to us coming from another bach and having things that needed the fridge. Kids mattresses weren"t in the best comdition and bunk bed was very unstable. Wifi was an issue, very unreliable and wasnt fixed till the 2nd morning of our stay and then it stopped working again that night. But overally a great getaway!! Thanks again.

Our entire trip was made amazing by the house itself. The different sections and feeling of “if I want to escape here for a moment of quiet from everybody” was honestly one of the best features of the bach. The place was stocked just right for us and we all really loved the proximity to the beach and cafe - especially the kayaks which being that the guests were between the ages of 13 to 53 I was surprised that the kayaks were something everyone enjoyed! The ping pong table was also a massive hit and a great way to spend time and have fun. Overall, it was a wonderful time and the house had a really great vibe to it - perfect place for making happy memories. We’ll definitely book again if we ever get the chance! Thank you to Nicola too!! She is a really down to earth lady who made us feel like we could just kick back and enjoy the place in its entirety and so we appreciated that greatly!!!

Great access to the beach, a relaxed vibe inside the house and multiple places to hang out on both sides of the property.

Some equipment were not working and some lights which had to be fixed.

A very nice little spot, super close to the beach. We had a baby with us and it was good for that because all the rooms are quite separate. The beach is right out the back door. Loved it!

We rented Ruby Bach with our kids (1 and 3) while we were in Omaha for a wedding. It was perfect for us. A trampoline, books and beach access made it great for the kids. Would definitely stay again.

Ruby Bach is amazing- literally a 2 min walk to the waves down a private walkway. The Bach is perfectly appointed for a family to stay with very comfortable beds and everything you need for time away. We found the plastic cutlery very handy for our little person! Make sure to bring your own basic supplies (oil, toilet paper etc) as they are limited which we had no problem with but just something to be aware of.

This is the second we stayed at this place. We love it, such an amazing location - right on the beach and near the shops!

We took the 5 kids for a short break before school started back and had a great time. This was our third stay at Ruby Cottage. Nicola is fantastic, good to call ahead if you’ve booked well in advance. There were a couple of minor items we thought would have been provided (rubbish bags, washing powder etc), but Nicola sorted things quickly for us :)

Just loved the place, its batchy feel is really what I was looking for in a holiday. The location to beach (10 seconds) and shops was perfect whist still being very quiet and private. Location back to Auckland is perfect also, a real no stress drive at the end of a holiday. So many extra features and a number we did not expect when looking at website (Nespresso machine, 2nd fridge, full sky including movies, excessive pots, pans, platters (great for the chef in me) and a great sleepout room that is undersold in the pictures, perfect for a teen retreat. I hope to back again next summer after new year some time if available Thanks again for letting us stay

This is a fuss-free bach with a lovely, relaxed vibe. It's got so many different areas for everyone to spread out and enjoy. Comfortable beds and with two large deck areas you can follow the sun from one deck to another or get shade and even sit outside in the rain. The proximity to the beach was perfect and meant we visited four times a day. The kids loved the tramp and the easy pathway from Ruby Cove to the dairy for ice-creams. We had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. The only minor points would be to replace the front door lock as locking the door was impossible, and to ensure that sufficient oil, salt and pepper, and tea are provided. In our case, the supplies had been run dry and really these basics should be covered. Overall we were very happy with the bach and would recommend it to people looking for a great family break away.

The Bach presented well. It rained for part of our stay however this did not dampen our stay. Lots to do - lovely beach and access was easy.

We had a lovely stay in this holiday home. Its compact but comfortable. lovely location with great access to beach. We were in omaha to play golf in 3 golf courses. All located within easy reach. It was nice to have our family dog with us too. So thank you to Nicola.

Amazing location and has everything for a great stay , missing a few bits and bobs for a winter stay but such a amazing location we can look past that - note take dishwashing liquid and essentials like that No cutlery draw bit crazy in that department and can't use toaster and kettle at same time as trips switch but perfect lodcation

We loved the easy location to the beach and shops. So many nice things to do straight from the bach, we didn't need the cars at all. The bach is well equipped and catered for our three generations of family staying together. We were here in the winter and it was cosy and warm. We look forward to visiting again in the summer and making the most of that amazing beach access. A real plus to be able to have our dog with us too.

This property is well located and well priced. The house itself is small but economical. Tucked behind the dunes and in close proximity to neighbours we missed the ocean breeze - the house can get hot; However, being a stones throw from the ocean means a remedy is close at hand! Fantastic communication from the property manager. Our only gripe was the limited provisions - a single dishwasher tablet, a single serve of washing powder, and half an inch of soap in each soap container for a four day stay for eight people. A little more generosity on this front would be appreciated.
