We chose Villa Merlata for our 2 week family vacation because it had all the features and location we were looking for. Our six adults and two 10-year-old twin boys required 4 bedrooms and baths, a swimming pool and convening tables for all of us for meals together and for playing family dominos. With three eight-seated tables in different locations, it was perfect, no matter the weather. We found ourselves relaxing and talking in the porch lounge area every morning and evening. The kitchen was well stocked with appropriate pots and tableware, although we found the need for and contributed a larger coffee maker. We ate all but 10 meals at the villa, choosing local restaurants both for some lunches and some dinners. The supermarket is only 10 minutes away by car, which is a necessity for this villa. A highlight was Anna making pizza for us one night and a surprise 25th anniversary dinner on another night that she made for us. The two refrigerators were useful, and the security system was easy to operate. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms small but adequate. A/C in all the rooms was a necessity and worked well. Screens on all the windows. Giovanni was excellent and available to check us in and out according to our flight schedules. He was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and answering all our questions. Pasquale and his brother were attentive via WhatsApp and great hosts. The area is perfect for touring with 30 - 60-minute drives to key cities and attractions.

Two weeks of Italian bliss in Villa Merlata with family. Plenty of room to spread out, & in the August heat the pool was heavenly. Nicely appointed & a great location for day trips to local towns & beaches. The property manager was very helpful & responsive.

The villa is just as presented: stylish, well-equipped, sitting elegantly in its own large, lush garden. It all has a thoughtful, designer feel to it. Lovely pool, terrace, barbeque, pizza oven, two dining terraces create the perfect setting for outdoor summer living. Inside there are new en-suites, a good kitchen, hotel-standard bedrooms. Electric gates and burglar alarm, too. Giovanni was easy to liaise with checking in and helpful generally. There was absolutely nothing to fault.

Villa Merlata is exactly as described. We had a group of 4 women and we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. Beautiful property with stunning outdoor areas and pool. We enjoyed an on-site pizza evening which was so much fun and the pizza was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this property

Excellent stay in villa merlata
I highly recommend this property for a stay in pulglia Italy. The property was gorgeous , clean and had great amenities. In addition it is very well located - close to beaches, shopping and a great base for exploring southern Italy. Giovanni was terrific and very responsive throughout our stay. We were 7 people and there was plenty of space inside and outside for everyone. Great property in a beautiful setting !

Traumhaft
Das ganze Anwesen übertraf unsere Vorstellungen um Längen. Giovanni hat uns am ersten Tag empfangen und uns dann alles in Ruhe erklärt. Giovanni war immer erreichbar und hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Grazie Giovanni. Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich und haben sich immer wieder telefonisch erkundigt ob wir zufrieden sind. Absolut nett! Das Haus selbst, der Pool wie auch die Umgebung ist traumhaft. Kurzum, wir werden wieder kommen.

Perfekter Urlaub in einer sehr schönen Villa
Die Villa ist sehr schön gelegen und Top ausgestattet. Der Außenbereich ist traumhaft angelegt. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern ist sehr nett. Wenn man Vorort Fragen hat hilft einem Giovanni mit einem tollen Service immer weiter. Danke!

Eine wunderbare Urlaubswoche
Fazit: perfektes Ferienhaus
Die wunderbare Anlage mit Pool, der tollen Aussenküche und den sehr gut ausgestatteten Innenräumen hat uns begeistert. Die Ruhe tat uns sehr gut. Alles ist super sauber und top gepflegt. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern und zu Giovanni war sehr gut. Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen.

Droomhuis vlak buiten Ostuni
Villa Merlata is rustig gelegen, ruim 3 kilometer buiten Ostuni op een klein landgoed met o.m. olijfbomen, mooi aangelegde tuin, prachtig zwembad (met voldoende ligbedden) en een buitenkeuken met barbecue, pizzaoven en koelkast. Het huis beschikt over 3 goed ingerichte slaapkamers (met prima bedden) en badkamers en een goed ingerichte keuken. Zeer geschikt voor een gezin of 3 koppels.
Contact met de eigenaar verliep snel en correct en Giovanni ontving ons hartelijk en zorgde voor alle relevante info.
Omgeving van Ostuni vonden wij zelf het meest aantrekkelijke deel van Puglia. Prachtige stadjes als Ceglie Messapica, Cisternino, Locorotondo en Alberobello liggen in de omgeving en ook een dagje strand (o.m. Lido Morelli) is goed te doen. Supermarkt op 3 kilometer en een ruime keus aan goede restaurants.
Via Giovanni ook een avond gebruik gemaakt van thuiskokkin Andrea die in de villa een uitstekend menu verzorgde met lokale gerechten. Ons 6-daags verblijf vloog voorbij en we waren dan ook graag wat langer in villa Meleta gebleven.

A fabulous stay
We stayed a week at Villa Merlata and had a fantastic stay. Pasquale was quick to answer any questions before booking and provided us with all the details we needed ahead. The villa is beautifully decorated and super clean. Each bedroom had an ensuite (so no queues for the bathroom!) and the kitchen and utility contained everything you would need. We enjoyed cooking pizza in the outdoor pizza oven, and Giovanni our contact during our stay was incredibly kind and helpful with any questions we had. It is a 5 minute drive from the nearest large Supermarket and 10 minutes into Ostuni where we enjoyed a few meals out - highly recommend Al Solito Posto for dinner and the gelato from Ciccio in Piazza was the best we've had! We didn't want to leave! Thank you Pasquale and Giovanni for a fantastic stay.

We had a wonderful time in the Villa Mersata.
It was great weather so we could enjoy all its outdoor possibilities like the wonderful pool and the outdoor dining and cooking area. Ostuni is a mere 5 minute drive and the gastronomic town of Ceglie Messpica is also not far away.
The villa has everything you need for a wonderful stay and the caretaker is a very nice and helpful man who'll do his best to make you feel welcome.

We were 3 couples who have had a fantastic holiday staying in Villa Merlata. We really did not want to leave and can not recommend it highly enough. The villa itself is stunning, and set in lovely gardens. There is everything you could need and more in the villa itself. It was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and great showers. The kitchen and living areas are very well equipped. Our favourite place was definitely the fantastic outside area with a lovely pool, with plenty of shade if needed and places to sit with a glass of wine or eat. We ate outside all the time which was just lovely. The villa is set in a quiet area a few minutes drive to Ostuni which is beautiful with little streets, whitewashed houses, shops and wonderful restaurants. It is a short drive to the coast and many beautiful Puglian towns and cities.
Giovanni was incredibly helpful on arrival and throughout our stay and made recommendations for restaurants, gave us the number for a local taxi, advised us on local supermarkets etc. And the owners Pasquale and Marco contacted us to check we were having a good holiday, which was a lovely touch.
We took advantage of using the private chef, Angela, one evening and would highly recommend this as it was really lovely and the food was cooked from scratch, local dishes and delicious.
Villa Merlata is perfect for friends holidaying together or families.
Incredibly sad to leave and would love to go back very soon.

The swimming pool is a great size and gives a pleasing cooling from the burning sun. Air conditioners in the bedroom are justified and the beds are comfortable. Warm/cold water gomes with good pressure. Groceries, eating places, etc. what's needed, is nearby.
The villa itself is comfortable, everything you need (wasching machine, kitchen utensils, house holds, etc.) for a carefree vacation.

Heerlijke plek in een prachtige omgeving
Een heerlijk huis, vlak bij het mooie en gezellige Ostuni. Mooi centraal gelegen om vanuit daar alle kanten van Puglia te bezoeken. Eigenaar reageert snel en correct en de lokale host is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Absoluut een aanrader !

Bellezza , relax e tanta cortesia
Abbiamo trascorso una settimana in questa spettacolare villa ad Aprile, eravamo 3 coppie, la villa e´perfetta per 6 persone, ogni camera ha il suo bagno privato,e´arredata veramente con gusto e la tranquillita´e la pace della campagna Ostunese e´impagabile.
Il tempo ci ha permesso di usare la bellissima piscina e la cucina esterna.
La posizione della villa e´strategica , a soli 3 km dalla citta di ostuni e vicina a tutte le localita´piu belle da visitare e alle spiagge piu´belle della costa merlata.
Torneremo in questa splendida villa prestissimo.

Solo una parola: Spettacolare!
appena arrivato in Puglia con la mia famiglia e una coppia di amici, subito mi sono innamorato di questa regione.
Abbiamo soggiornato a Villa Merlata e non potevamo fare scelta migliore, una casa fantastica, con una piscina da sogno, dove i bambini hanno passato la maggior parte del tempo.
La casa è dotata anche di cucina esterna con barbecue e quasi tutte le sere abbiamo organizzato ottime cene godendoci la pace tra gli ulivi.
All'interno ha 3 camere da letto e ciascuna ha il bagno privato, la cucina è molto bella, luminosa e dotata di tutti gli accessori.
Siamo stati divinamente bene grazie anche alla posizione strategica della villa, a pochi km di distanza si trova il centro, spiagge con lidi attrezzatissimi.
Ringrazio i proprietari per l'accoglienza e l'alta professionalità.

We just spent a week at Villa Merlata and had a blissful time.We wish we would have stayed longer!
The location is spectacular, everything is perfect, All were wonderful. We enjoyed several sunset cocktails on their terrace.
I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Una vacanza da sogno
Abbiamo trascorso una settimana da sogno ad Ottobre in questa meravigliosa villa.Eravamo 2 coppie con 2 bimbi,la villa e´spettacolare, ben arredata, glie esterni e la piscina sono fantastici,ci sarebbe piaciuto sicuramente restare una settimana in piu´.
La villa si trova in una posizione strategica, nella tranquillita della compagna ostunese ma vicino a tutti i maggiori sit di interesse e alle spiagge piu belle.Abbiamo girato tanto la regione ed ecco perche sarebbe stato bello restare piu alungo, per goderci questa bellissima proprieta´.
Consiglio villa Merlata a tutti e ci ritorneremo sicuramente.
Un ringraziamento va anche a Pasquale e Marco, i proprietari ed a Paolo , il manutentore che si e´messo a disposizione ogni qual volta ne abbiamo avuto bisogno.

vacanza da sogno!
Ho trascorso una settimana da sogno, la villa se pur lussuosa mantiene uno stile locale,oltretutto è curata nei minimi particolari, luminosa, accogliente, dotata di tutti i comfort.
L'area esterna con piscina è perfetta per rilassarsi e godersi la natura.
Anche se immersa nel verde degli ulivi pugliesi, dista solo 3 km dal centro di Ostuni dove ci sono supermercati, negozi e ristoranti.
La consiglio vivamente a tutti.
